I had a terrible experience at Tooele Motor Company and everyone else I've spoken with that has gone there has too. When Richard was there he was so kind and so pleasant. But he retired during my experience. Between the new sales people I dealt with and finance people- I caught the people I was dealing with in lie after lie. It took me over 2 months for them to finally provide my paperwork for the vehicle I bought. This was after I called them or showed up at the dealership weekly! I paid cash for my vehicle so it should have been a very clean and simple transaction. I was more than patient waiting for the documents but honestly, if you don't want to provide great customer service, I'm unsure why you would want to be in the industry. They pride themselves in no haggle pricing but I think with that, they have no drive to provide great customer service. Terrible experience. When you call, they will say that so and so is not there, take your number, and no one will ever call you back. This is a viscous cycle. As soon as you finally speak to someone, they say it's someone else you need to talk to. I finally refused to get off the phone until they found someone that could help me. After a 2 month battle, and telling the manager I finally spoke with that I wanted a copy of my warranty Information (who then asked what my warranty was for because he couldn't see anything on my records) (and verified my email address that had already been verified and clearly not updated again) he finally sent me a pic through text and had one printed out for me to pick up the next day. They lost the keys to the car. They said they fixed things on it that they had not. They told me to come get keys only to find the key person didn't have a clue what was going on. They said they emailed me documents and I did not receive them. So I went in to pick up a printout and they didn't even have the documents to email. I could go on and on but the bottom line is their customer service is terrible. read more

Furious with the lack of communication and professionalism with the Chevrolet side of the dealer ship. My partner bought a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado in the end of 2024. My partner thought the truck had no issues. Went to turn the heater on and nothing. No hot air blowing. We took it in to get a simple diagnosis on the truck when the dealership service department ended up "temporarily fixing" the heater issue. With super glue and a zip tie without my partners authorization, as well as not talking to the managers of the dealership nothing! But was told "at least you have heat right?" My partner was furious especially after they were told it would be an astronomical price to repair the "damage" that affected the heater. My partner went and talked to the managers and the managers had to make it right since they had no idea what was going on until it was brought up. My partner was able to get the truck in to get it fixed but there was "issues" that kept popping up: parts were taking forever to get in, damaged parts were received and needed to reorder parts. Resulting in the truck being in the shop for almost an entire month. With the dealership never calling with updates even when they promised they would. My partner had to call for updates at least 10 times while the truck was getting worked on to even try and get answers about it. Furthermore my partner also had a crack in their windshield that they thought would be fixed while in the shop. The dealership gave them a "We owe you" a new windshield when they bought the truck but didn't get any information about it till they had to again call and talk to the dealership once again for it to get resolved and replaced a few weeks later. But wait there's more. I myself wanted to buy a a special order vehicle from the dealership getting told the vehicle would be there and ready for the purchase in three mounths I then decided to pull the trigger and say yes to the build of the vehicle being so excited to finally have the vehicle i've been wanting for years. I had to keep calling for updates after the initial deposit was made. Never Once did the dealership reach out and tell me what was going on with the vehicle. After i contacted serval times being promised a call back that never happened. They finally told me to call back a week from me being home to get said vehicle to make sure they would have the vehicle ready. After making the initial call for that week i was one week away to finally getting a vehicle of my dreams only to come to find out. That the vehicle was not ready. Was not even at the dealership. I was severely disappointed and had to go to another dealership to get the vehicle. Then I proceeded to try and get my deposit back. With the dealership guaranteeing that it should be there by the end of the day. The vehicle deposit was never refunded like they said it would be. furthermore i called the next day and was told that I would be able to talk to somebody in finance to leave my name and number. Once again the dealership did not reach out or call me back or even email me to let me know anything about my deposit it's been 2 days now and I still haven't got my deposit back so to sum it up not only did we have a "we owe you" problem on a vehicle prior and a heater problem on that said vehicle. The lack of communication, and unprofessionalism shown by this company is repulsive and we will not be using this company for further ventures to get another vehicle ever again I would not recommend at all! thank you very much for your time.! If I could give negative stars I would!!!! Itook my car in for an oil change at 8:30am that I was told would take 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes which is not a problem since I only live 9 minutes away from the facility but I also let the worker at the desk know that I need to leave tooele at 10:45am to be at work in SLC which I was told that it wouldn't be an issue, I then get a text message at 9:56am saying my car is ready so I respond at 9:57am saying I would need a shuttle back, then I get a response at the same time 9:57am asking my address I give it about 30 minutes pass and no shuttle so I call to get an update and I am told that the shuttle should be there any minute...okay no problem it's 10:23 am so I still have time so I wait even more an additional 30 minutes go by so I call back which mind you I have been texting the text service with no response or communication I get told on the phone that now the shuttle driver is dropping someone off and should be here soon...I now have been waiting almost two hours for a shuttle that is 9 minutes away!!! What in the actual F*** this is unacceptable and when I ask for a manager I am told they are in a meeting and I will get a call back...yep you guessed it no call from anyone no communication what do ever this is sad because I was placed in the Ford service building instead of the Chevy I don't know if they use the same employees but I have never ever ever had issues when working with the Chevy side of Tooele Motor Company... read more

I would happily recommend Tooele Motor Company. We had a good experience buying a 2022 Chevy Bolt from them. They were happy to let us drive the car, even though they were awaiting a battery recall for the vehicle. As we drove and had concerns, they were willing to take the car to the shop and immediately address them. As I had questions on the car's condition, they provided us with both a CarFax and repair history, and they gave us more information on the history as we cane up with questions. We had to wait for the recall to be completed before we could pick up the vehicle. We did a deposit that went toward the down payment and waited for Chevy to get the battery sent out here for the recall. The folks at TMC kept in regular communication with us and worked with us to get the financing set up (through pur independant financer) while not having us get charged until the car was in our possession. Finally, our rep, Ethan was great. He worked with us through the whole process, and he was always receptive whenever we had questions. Even when we were waiting a while for the recall and regularly texted him to check in, he was patient and helpful. He even wished me a happy birthday before my parents did. And, when it came time that the car was ready to be picked up, he worked with my crazy schedule and my spouse being out of town by driving an hour to bring the car directly to my house. He was a highlight through the whole experience. I am happy with my whole experience, and I love our new vehicle! read more

I worked with A.J. And he was phenomenal to work with. Valued my trade in super fast and gave me a guarantee on my trade in. Once I found a car he had it waiting for me to look over and test drive. Zero pressure and I got a used car but was treated as if I was getting something brand new AJ and all the other people all acted courteous and professional. With financing they were super fast and I just waited in their nice couches eating popcorn and drinking the free drinks they have until they were ready for me to go over docs. I have gone to other dealers in the past and been left alone in a small office for over an hour while they try to tire you out to upsell things because they know your tired. We all have been to those places well this was not one of them hands down they really surpassed me with the chill non pushy atmosphere. And even on the used car I got they still give you a grace period to trade up and a few more things within a few days after purchase so if that buyers remorse sets in and you really wanted a bigger car or something they got you covered. Most places I have been to charge a few hundred for that and if you decline once you sign the dotted line that's it. If you local use this place first if your not local it's worth the drive. Don't be intimidated by the big lot and building when you walk in they treat you like your local ma and pa store that treats you right. read more

I had the worst experience purchasing a vehicle from them out of state. The salesperson Wayne told me the vehicle had features it didn't have, that it came with accessories it didn't come with, and when I got there the interior of the vehicle was filthy. It also took them 44 days to send me the necessary paperwork for me to register the car. I had 1 day to get to the DMV. Because of Covid it made it an incredibly hard task. I bought a 2017 F150 for $34K from Tooele Motor Company, Tooele, UT to tow my camper. I was lied to by the salesman on several counts. How old is the battery? "We had to put a new one in to put it on the lot" Battery was 6 years old - $189 to replace. Ditto with brakes and last service. Grrr. Lies by another higher up. They bought this vehicle at auction per Carfax, saw it had serious problems, didn't repair anything, washed it and put it on their lot for some sucker to buy. I'm that sucker. I've spent thousands just to make it driveable and need to spend another $3K to repair an oil leak, replace a pulley, replace the water pump & shocks. Two other Ford dealers say these need "immediate attention". I'm within their 3K mile or 3 month drivetrain warranty. They won't compensate me for this. I'm making a complaint to Ford now. I should have taken the other review more seriously that was left by a previous out of state buyer that the sales team missrepresented the condition and features of the vehicle, 10 hrs up and 10 hrs back to san diego in the same car. They are about as shady as you can imagine with. bait and switch type tactics, im a disabled veteran and they felt no regard for the torture i put myself through to make the drive, gangsters/thieves and bloodsuckers for money. Ive ran into some bad businesses, but being so desperate for a sale that you do that to someone is wrong... so wrong. The raptors they have on the lot are from some driving school that takes them out and beats the crap out of them, didnt know that until i got there and the truck i was buying that supposedly had others ready to buy, was caked in mud.... the truck i was specifically going to buy was prepped for me to buy that day, was caked in mud. Got there they let me take the car on a test drive by myself. Then we accidentally told them we are paying with cash, and they didn't try and bump up the price. Really upset!!! I purchased my jeep 2 years ago when it was owned by performance and changed to Tooele Auto Mall. Anyways, I took my jeep in for an oil change and a couple weeks later I noticed leaking coming from the bottom of my vehicle. My Jeep has never leaked since I have owned it and it was always in for its maintenance on time. Well come to find out my oil cooler part is leaking oil, I brought it to the service departments attention, I have a warranty that I purchased at the time I bought my vehicle and now I am being told that Performance auto doesn't have my warranty on file, I gave the service department a copy of my warranty and have been told I now have to pay out of pocket for a part that I have a warranty for!!!!! I am very upset only to find out that this particular part only cracks due to over torquing during an oil change. Funny when they checked it they said it was warped!?!?
