Over the weekend I went to change nozzle and the whole end BROKE OFF. I had my receipt went in yesterday to return Sept 26 2022. I explain that I had for only 2 months and it broke the lady at the front said we only refund after a month. So I spend over $40.00 for something that only works for 2 months?? I threw it in the garbage and will never return to Ace Hardware in Youngtown. I will now shop at Home Depot or Lowes so if something does break I know I can exchange or refund. Online I found a Rubbermaid 32 gallon black can with wheels. This was a good deal. I didn't put the coupon code when I bought it online. I had to go to the back office and they had to cancel my order and then go up to the front and pay using the coupon. That was pretty silly. I then went to pick up the can. I had to go to the back of the store . One of the helpers went into where they store the online merchandise. He came back with the can and handed me a brand new can that had streaks of dust and dirt all over. It's not a big deal but I thought to myself, you would think the store would take some pride in keeping their products looking clean and new. Ace is a small outfit trying to compete with Low's and Home Depot. You would think customer service would be paramount in getting new business. They didn't win me over.

I recently called this company to come out for a leak in my yard. Upon arrival I was told that this…read moreisn't something they can handle. However the tech Michael walked throughout the house and somehow we landed on my water softener, which he stated is a must and is really unhealthy for our family and must be replaced. $6200 dollars later I had a new water softener but then my water heater started leaking on the bottom days later, it appears there is a missing valve. My husband and I saw that Michael had attached a hose to the bottom of our water heater and most likely forgot to replace the valve. However when Michael returned he claims he told us our water heater needed replacing, which he DID NOT And I told him so. Then he proceeded to quote us $300 to a replace a valve to our water heater . The interesting thing Is the valve isn't even there now. We've decided to go another route with the repair but upon Michael leaving we went from a minor leak to a major leak. I have been a home owner for 10 years and have never experienced this. we feel taken advantage of and all he cancelling our membership and no longer using their services.

The prices are fair, they give discounts to veterans, have helpful staff, and they run regular sales that are worth keeping track of. Make sure you sign up for their app and get your phone into their system so you can get good deals. Often there are plants outside that are well suited to our area and although they may cost a little more, they will probably be successful for you as they have for me. Drop by regularly since they have lots of seasonal items. Some years back they used to have a popcorn machine and it was such fun to browse around while munching some free popcorn. I wish they'd bring it back as it added a special festival atmosphere, even if they have to put a little coin box for people to kick in some quarters...Keep your money local and shop here when you can.
