Tried this place based on reviews. Didn't think it was any better than the other locals. Wife got lo mein, mostly noodles with a few shreds of pork. It was decent. I got won ton soup. Good but there were so many wontons there was no soup. Also got happy family. OK, large portion but it had a lot of that fake crab in it and it didn't taste particularly good. Normally I do not eat at places where I get a menu in the mail, boy am I glad I ignored that this time. Having been here 4 or 5 times so far each time I got a different dish where my wife sticks to a few tried and true dishes but we have never been disappointed with the food quality. I love Chinese food, I hate it if it's westernized, also rate things if you like Chinese Food or have a taste for it, does not make any sense to rate it if there is no knowledge about it or have a acquired taste for it's style. We waited 2 hours for food that, when warm, is just mediocre. My wife had to call up at the 90+ minute mark to inquire about our order. We are pretty sure they just forgot about our delivery. If there was any other delivery game in town, we would have switched long ago. read more

For American Chinese food this is the tops. We were having a communal style meal so we ordered fried wontons, dumplings, chicken teriyaki on a stick, crab rangoon, egg rolls, spring rolls, General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and sesame beef which isn't a menu item but they happily made it. The dumplings are some of the largest, about bao sized, very flavorful and stuffed full- they are excellent. The fried wontons have a nice flavorful meat ball in them, the rangoon are the typically sweet cream cheese and imitation crab you get around here. The chicken teriyaki has great flavorful and it was very moist and tender which was a pleasant surprise. The egg rolls and spring rolls were very average. The sweet and sour chicken was evenly breaded and relatively uniformed sized pieces. The things that really shined were the dumplings I mentioned above and the General's chicken and sesame beef! The General's chicken is very uniform in size and breading and the sauce is amazing- it is a perfect balance of sweet, spice, and heat. The sesame beef, like the other dishes, were very uniform in size and they use a thinner sliced beef which makes the dish along with the crisp seemingly toasted sesame seeds sprinkled on top to finish it. And to top it off the delivery was incredibly fast- probably 15 minutes or so from the time we ordered to the time it was at the door and it was carefully packed with no spills or jumbled food and very hot and the broccoli still had bite to it so it was clearly all freshly cooked. This will be my go to for easy Chinese takeout/delivery from now on. read more

We ordered from Top China based upon the reviews we read on Yelp. I'm not sure where these other reviewers were eating or if it's possible they've been licking cement and have destroyed their taste-buds or if this has been their first experience with Asian carry away -- but I'm afraid I cannot share in their rave reviews of this restaurant. We ordered a variety of items off the menu: broccoli beef, teriyaki chicken, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, dim sum (steamed dumplings), fried rice and white rice. The dishes were very bland. The dim sum didn't come with any sort dipping sauce. The crab Rangoon was sickeningly sweet. And we're pretty sure the 'meat' was made from school grade pencil erasers... We will not be ordering from Top China ever again. Nor will we recommend this restaurant to any of our friends and neighbors. read more

Unfortunately had a very bad delivery experience. The delivery took awhile and then when it did get here (Grovetown) the delivery man kind of just stood in the doorway as if he was unsure what to do and very spacey. I swiped my credit card and was then given what I thought was my food. I put it down only to realize I was given the wrong order. I didn't want to make a big fuss, so I didn't. Then the delivery man came back to get the food which I opened, but had not eaten yet. I told him I opened it. He said, what do you mean? (Acting confused and spacey again) I repeated myself, "I opened he bag and the container already." He said "ok, yea." I said you can have it back, but it was already opened, reemphasizing again. He took it back and gave me my order and I asked him if it had been tampered with. He assured me it wasn't. (It did look closed). I said you're not giving the other food to the other customers are you? He assured me he wasn't and had to bring it back to the store. Fast forward 20 minutes later I get a call he is missing a small container of rice that I had taken out of the original bag and needs that back. I said sure you can have it back. I just seriously hope he wasn't planning on giving it to the other customers because why would he come all the way back for a small container of rice? I called the store and they were kind but asked what they wanted me to do about it...if he should be talked to. I said I just want you to be aware that this guy was very unprofessional and came back three different times to the house. I can't say I got to fully enjoy the food at that point but it tasted just fine. The vegetables were good and seemed fresh. read more

Top china is probably the best quick service Chinese food in the area. The food is always hot and fresh tasting! You can tell the difference that things are made in house like their egg rolls and dumplings! Not like other places around that are obviously frozen products. I haven't gotten delivery but I pick up orders often and they are almost always ready by the 15 min time frame they give me. read more

This is one of my favorite Chinese takeout restaurants in the Martinez area. Your order is always prepared fresh when you place the order and always good quality service. We order takeout from here all the time and have never been disappointed! Oh and they have some delicious fried chicken wings and you can substitute your eggroll for a few chicken wings whenever you order a combo meal. We love Top China. First things, first, they deliver! we ordered from them one night and we had the food at our doorstep in 17 minutes flat. The prices are reasonable. I love their fried rice, it is always moist and fluffy and never dry. The only thing I could say they could improve on is their chicken wings. I have been regularly ordering delivery from Top China since they opened. It's less than a mile from where I live and was my go-to when I didn't feel like cooking. The staff was always friendly and the food was always delivered quickly, correctly, and always exceeded my expectations. However, the last two times I have ordered from them, I have ended up nauseous and gotten sick to my stomach. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thought maybe a stomach bug caused it. Today I ordered again, and once again I got sick.
