Top China located in Augusta, GA Food: We ordered the Philly cheese steak egg roll, orange chicken, general Tao chicken and vegetable egg foo young. The Philly cheese steak rolls were delicious, they exactly had steak, cheese and vegetable you could taste. The vegetable egg foo young was also delicious, the gravy was good, flavorful and not salty. It went well with the sticky rice. I wanted some Chinese food and came here because it's close. I could've ordered delivery but it was faster to get it myself. I ordered what I order at every Chinese restaurant: chicken & broccoli combo & wonton soup. The wonton soup here is on point! Their broth seems to be real soup broth, not cloudy. Wontons are delicious and they put little shreds of meat in the soup. The chicken and broccoli tastes about normal. Nothing too special, but well done. Perfect amount of sauce. I don't like when they put too much sauce on stuff. Egg rolls are same as every other place. I think I found my neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Food is okay....could be better. If you want crappy Chinese food on a night in, it might be your go-to. I prefer good Chinese food.

Hot and sour soup was excellent and shrimp angel hair was delicious. Will return.Chicken Teriyaki was great too.

I knew something was wrong when I opened up the food and couldn't smell anything. You know something is good when you can smell the aromatics. I tried various items from their menu. Everything completely lacked seasoning. Their Kung Pao chicken that was supposed to be spicy tasted like nothing. Zero spice. The sweet and sour chicken tasted freezer burnt. The shrimp fried rice, lo mein and lobster sauce was bland. I legitimately thought I must be sick with covid or something because I couldn't taste anything. A piece of bread has more flavor than all of the food combined. It was terrible. Frozen Chinese TV dinners had more flavor than this. I am 100% disappointed. Service here was ridiculously quick! The prices were actually low as well. This is me trying to be positive about the place. I will say, they had a pretty delicious egg roll! I was very disappointed in the actual meal though. I ordered orange chicken with vegetable lo mein. Chicken just tasted real mushy and the sauce was very mucusy, to be detailed. The lo mein wasn't too bad, but it tasted like it was made for a while then reheated. Based on the reviews, I was expecting a lot more out of this place, but it was just like any other Chinese take out place. Wasn't the worst for sure! The eggrolls, the shrimp fried rice(which is loaded btw), the CRAB RANGOON, the chicken wings, did I mention CRAB RANGOON IS EXCELLENT. I usually go here every other week and I have never been let down!! Did I mention the the customer service is excellent as well! I feel like I already wrote a review for this place but oh well! I gotta say, after two years I still love this place! It's sort of out of the way and I literally pass 4 other Chinese restaurants on my way here but the dumplings and lo mein keep me coming back. I love how they don't mince words when you call. Order, repeat it back to them and show up in 20 minutes. They've never gotten my order wrong and they're never late. It's like a finely tuned machine here. It's just the two of us so we never order much but we do try to switch it up every time. But the dumplings always remain the same. Oh those dumplings bring me back every couple months after a self imposed elimination diet. The white chicken entrees are always chock full of meat, crispy veggies and generous sides of rice. I think they offer you a fried rice as default but I always swap it out if I remember quick enough. No, they don't offer brown rice and if they did, I'd question their menu options. If I could live off of their appetizer menu, I would. They make the best dumplings, eggrolls and crab rangoons in the area. And this is definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant. read more

I decided to try a new Chinese takeout for myself, and Top China was the place to go. I placed my to-go order over the phone and they were clear and polite, they also provided me with a total and estimated time for my food to be finished. The store was not hard to find and had plenty of parking. The inside was clean and the lady who helped me greeted me as I walked in and was nice. They do offer military discount as well. The food was above average for most take out that I have had. I ordered Crab Rangoon, and Sesame Chicken. The Crab Rangoon was perfectly fried and was not lacking on the filling like many places do. The Sesame Chicken was good also, but not the best that I have had, it could have been more crispy. The General Tso's is what I will try next and I will be back for sure for those Crab Rangoons. read more

You can tell the Chinese food is going to be decent when they are super rude to you when you call to place your order. Food portion size is HUGE. One order is enough to feed two people, unless you're as big as two people. I've tried multiple dishes and the portions never disappoint. Reason for not giving it 5 stars is because it always tasted like it was missing something to make it delicious but the portion was enough to give me amnesia. read more

I was very disappointed I ordered sweet &sour pork w/ pork fried rice Beef lo mein. The pork was grease soaked and unbeatable the rice was completely cook it was still hard the vegetables were still raw. The lo main noodle were very soggy there was hardly any meat or vegetables in it.
