I understand that doctors see many different situations every day, but for many moms, especially first-time moms, everything feels new and overwhelming. Patients cannot be expected to have the same level of experience or emotional distance as medical professionals. Even when discussing difficult topics such as miscarriage, the doctors here explained that some situations can be medically common or normal, but they did so with genuine empathy and compassion. That made a huge difference. Instead of hearing cold or dismissive words like "we see this all the time," they acknowledged how emotional and personal the experience can be for patients.
