I came in for a liquid gel refill at Tipsy Nail Bar, and it was honestly the worst mistake. My previous liquid gel set--done at a different salon--lasted 5 weeks with zero issues: no lifting, no cracks, nothing. I only decided to try Tipsy because it was much closer to where I live. Exactly 7 days later, one of my nails lifted almost completely from the back. I reached out, and they did agree to repair it at no cost, which I appreciated. However, they mentioned: "Sometimes gel color doesn't bond as well when it comes into contact with the natural oils on the nail. This can happen even with proper prep." I went back in, had the nail fixed, and the technician checked the rest and said everything looked fine. Then the very next morning, another nail lifted from the back almost completely. This time it ripped my natural nail underneath, and I had to remove it at home. For $75, this service was absolutely not worth it. I don't mind paying for expensive nail services--but I do expect them to actually last longer than a week, especially when my previous set had no issues at all. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I've been getting builder gel on my natural nails for a long time, and my nails normally last me up to 4 weeks. I went in person to the salon and spoke to kelly who did my nails to have the completely broken nail fixed, and I was told I would have to pay $8 because it had been more than 3 days. I understand having policies, but I don't feel this situation was fair. I paid $75 for my nails, and they didn't even last two weeks. I asked if they could at least fix ONE nail without charging me, but they still refused. This was my first time coming here, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality and with how the situation was handled. I would not recommend this salon, especially for builder gel on natural nails. If i can give 0 stars i would.
