I would NEVER recommend this place. We're traveling and needed a kennel for our pups. They're super misleading with their prices and we even got our pups groomed but they stunk when we picked them up. This place is more like a "day care" rather than an overnight kennel so beware if you're going to be using them. Owner even admitted to making a mistake on her advertising and still didn't correct her mistake. She has horrible business practices and they probably aren't good with animals if they treat humans horribly. Stay away and buyer beware. read more

We've been members since 2016 and up until last week have had good experiences. Our dog ingested multiple pieces of a TNK toy in which exploratory surgery was needed to determine all foreign body was no longer a threat. TNK reminded us that we didn't specify the type of foreign body in his chart and that they are not responsible for medical-related foreign body complications. We trusted the staff to care for our dog while we were away and it costed us over $2000 to which TNK declined to cover. read more

My dog recently went to this kennel and came home with fleas. The kennel took no responsibility for this at all. Our dog had never had fleas in his entire life and we consistently keep up with his frontline medication to prevent fleas on him. I would not recommend this location and this is not because our dog ended up with fleas, but because the kennel would not take responsibility. read more

SO caring and they treat my dog wonderful and so accommodating! We have friends that live in the area so when we are staying multiple nights we leave him here. My dog is 12 years old and I never boarded him until recently. They totally understood and took him in as if he was one of their own. read more

This place really is Top Notch. After looking around for a place to take my extremely hyper German Shorthair, I found this gem not far from my house. Initially I was only planning on taking him a couple of times a week until I learned about their unlimited daycare package. The price is unbeatable, I guarantee you will not find a better deal, anywhere. The staff is amazing, pick up and drop off is effortless, and after only a few visits they stopped asking who I was picking up and now they just bring Wrigley out as soon as I walk in. Wrigley cannot wait to get in the door in the morning and starts barking as soon as we pull in the driveway. He is normally a little shy around people but has no issues taking off into the back with the staff every morning. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a caring and affordable solution to leaving their pet at home alone all day. read more

We have been using Top Notch Kennels for about 2 1/2 years now for our Irish Setter Molly who is 3yrs old. Our neighbor had highly recommended TNK as just the best there is, and she was absolutely correct. Molly loves going there and is beside herself trying to get from the car to their front door. We have boarded her, let her stay in doggie daycare, and have her groomed there as well. Staff always returns phone calls promptly, and are just all around pleasant to deal with. Professional , kind, and loving with my wild child Molly. We bought the annual membership and take advantage of all the perks that come with it. Well worth it ! A side note , our dog is a detective playing in high grass as well as deep snow, so prone to burs, and mats. The groomer Molly sees at TNK does a wonderful job with her coat, even when I hack it up in between appts. Groomers go over and beyond for us always making Molly beautiful ! Highly recommend ! BEWARE of taking your pet to Top Notch Kennels. There is a reason it is less expensive than other kennels in the Chicagoland area. First of all you can't ever get through to anyone on their automated phone system. This place is not professional, in my opinion, and the communication with customers is VERY poor. I will not board my dog there again. She came home with hair missing and a rash on her back. Owner was quite rude. If you care about your dog avoid this place! read more

Top Notch is an excellent place to take your dog whether it is for daycare or boarding. The staff is friendly and clearly has a passion for pets. They are accommodating to my dog's medical needs (allergies), and always greet us with a smile. By far the best kennel in the Oswego area! read more
