My wife called the company while I was out of town to open a locked door in the garage. The tech that came onsite convinced her that the door needed to be drilled out and said he could not open it any other way. He then installed a new door ***** backwards. The door will not even shut. He left it like that and my home open to security risks. He charged my wife $330 for the service. I called the business and spoke with "Dan". He would not give his full details. Once I explained that I would like at least a partial refund, he stated that they would not come out and fix it, and would not refund any of the money. I would never use this company again. They used third party contractors and deny any liability if anything goes wrong. I got locked out of my apartment and called them for assistance. They sent two guys, who I later found out were just subcontractors. They got me into my apartment but broke my lock in the process. They then took off the entire lock and door handles, and said they had to go get another guy to fix it. When I called the company to find out why the guys had still not come back nearly three hours later. I was told to stop accusing them of doing faulty work and they even alleged that my lock was broken when they got there! He then told me to stop calling him. Below is a picture of what my door looked like after their guys had taken off everything and left. The subcontractors eventually came back and fixed my door at Midnight. These people are my LIFESAVERS. I was just on my third day of living in NYC and was feeling very overwhelmed with unpacking and getting familiar with new territory. I ran down to the garbage shoot in my building to throw out some trash and didn't think to grab my keys, since I didn't lock the door behind me. It was then that I found out that my door automatically locks. So here I am - no keys, no wallet, no money, no cell phone - NOTHING! I immediately panicked and my dog, who was locked inside decided to go on a nonstop barking rampage. Keep in mind I am new to the building and a barking dog does not make for new friends. Matthew (or David?) and Renee came to give us an estimate for installation of a new A/C to replace a 20 year old In Wall A/C. I'd done lots of research and spoken to lots of Yelp suggested AC services but was still uncertain about the not-very-good options for a fourth floor loft with no balcony. A Split wouldn't work and there was no good In Wall replacement. Some people had suggested putting in a window unit in the old sleeve and filling up the gap, others just cleaning the old units. The guys came to the apartment and went through all the options with me in a knowledgeable and helpful way. Installing a window unit in the window using PC Richards turned out to be the best option. He said you might as well get them to do it. Really honest in other words. I said "how about right now?" to which they replied "ok somebody will call you in 20 minutes". Sure enough somebody called us and was there within the hour to install our new smart lock.
