Huge scam. Locked myself out of my apartment, called these guys. Guy said he was 25 minutes away. An hour later he shows up, does 30 seconds of work, and charges $400. I called to verify the price and they said "$95 and up." I told them the guy charged $400 and they just shrugged. read more

My wife called the company while I was out of town to open a locked door in the garage. The tech that came onsite convinced her that the door needed to be drilled out and said he could not open it any other way. He then installed a new door ***** backwards. The door will not even shut. He left it like that and my home open to security risks. He charged my wife $330 for the service. I called the business and spoke with "Dan". He would not give his full details. Once I explained that I would like at least a partial refund, he stated that they would not come out and fix it, and would not refund any of the money. I would never use this company again. They used third party contractors and deny any liability if anything goes wrong. I got locked out of my apartment and called them for assistance. They sent two guys, who I later found out were just subcontractors. They got me into my apartment but broke my lock in the process. They then took off the entire lock and door handles, and said they had to go get another guy to fix it. When I called the company to find out why the guys had still not come back nearly three hours later. I was told to stop accusing them of doing faulty work and they even alleged that my lock was broken when they got there! He then told me to stop calling him. Below is a picture of what my door looked like after their guys had taken off everything and left. The subcontractors eventually came back and fixed my door at Midnight. They also charged me more because they "helped me out" by fixing the lock, which the they broke! read more

Estimated wait was 45 minutes but they showed up in 1.5 hrs which is expected on a Saturday evening. The team was able to fix our problem (key broke in car ignition) within 20 minutes. The fee was a bit high (200$) but that's what happens when you break your car key on a Saturday in NYC. These people are my LIFESAVERS. I was just on my third day of living in NYC and was feeling very overwhelmed with unpacking and getting familiar with new territory. I ran down to the garbage shoot in my building to throw out some trash and didn't think to grab my keys, since I didn't lock the door behind me. It was then that I found out that my door automatically locks. So here I am - no keys, no wallet, no money, no cell phone - NOTHING! I immediately panicked and my dog, who was locked inside decided to go on a nonstop barking rampage. Keep in mind I am new to the building and a barking dog does not make for new friends. We bought a new smartlock and I called Top Notch on a weekday afternoon to have it installed. When I tried to schedule a time they asked when was good for us. I said "how about right now?" to which they replied "ok somebody will call you in 20 minutes". Sure enough somebody called us and was there within the hour to install our new smart lock.
