I needed to bring something to the office for a department meeting. I've passed by this place almost daily on my way to work. Decided to just drive-thru on my way in. The way this place is set up is super convenient. It somewhat stands alone so you just drive up. The menu was simple as well. I needed a couple dozen donuts so just ordered 2 office heroes. Staff was friendly and everything was packaged nicely. Overall, the department meeting was a success and I truly was the office hero. And it barely added 5 minutes to my commute. Their staff have always been over the top friendly, That's one of the things that always has had me coming back and the donuts do taste good . I haven't had a donut in over a year and figured I would treat myself. I was really looking forward to a delicious treat and headed over to Top Pot. I hadn't been to this location before but it's a small shop with a drive thru. The line was several cars long but moved relatively quickly. When we got to the window the ordering process was pretty inefficient. Several choices were sold out which is understandable being after 10am. I ordered a variety of 6 donuts and after each one the cashier had to go check if they had it or left the window to write it down. It seemed a little complicated. I ordered a couple of coffees to go with, and paid. The order was quick to come up and we were off. On our way to the course I tried the Apple fritter. This was the most expensive donut in the order and the largest. To me an Apple fritter should be light and crispy and glazed but this one was dry and plain. I didn't even taste any Apple but I did see some dried Apple looking things in a small section of the donut. I didn't even finish this donut as it wasn't worth the calories to eat it. I was disappointed in that one. We shared with some friends who enjoyed the original and lemon old fashioned as well as a rainbow sprinkle. They said they were good and I split a chocolate old fashioned and the maple bar with my husband, both were tasty. Overall this was an okay experience but expect a complicated ordering process, especially if you're getting a variety. You can't celebrate National Doughnut Day without doughnuts, so my family decided to stop by Top Pot today. I called in before going to see what their ordering procedures were. The guy who answered the phone was very friendly and told me that I could either order ahead of time, order at the drive-thru, or walk in and pick a doughnut out of the case. We opted for the drive-thru option. The parking lot was very empty when we got there. There was only one car behind us in the drive thru. The doughnuts here are between $2.20 - $2.80, but they are better quality than Krispy Kreme in my opinion. We ordered a cinnamon sugar cake, a raspberry glazed old fashioned, and a salted caramel old fashioned doughnut. Our total came to a $7.28. The workers were fast and efficient. The guy at the window was also wearing a face mask. As far as the doughnuts, I am not usually a doughnut person, but I surprisingly enjoyed the cinnamon sugar cake doughnut. It wasn't too sweet and it had the texture and taste of coffee cake. I can't say it changed my view on doughnuts, but it was definitely the best of the three that we tried. The old fashioned doughnuts were a bit dry for my taste. They were also significantly sweeter than the cake doughnut, but that's just how glazed doughnuts are- coated with sugar! I don't know if they are fried up somewhere else and then brought in, or if I'm too late in the day, or what, but the donuts have either been been dry, almost stale-dry, or too sticky sickly sweet without depth of flavor. We've tried apple fritters, we've tried blueberry variants, we've tried maple bars, we've tried an assortment of everything, and there hasn't been a single item we would want to drive here to buy so we could eat it again. The person at the counter: - Took the persons order behind me, who had a larger order. Leaving me to wait for my coffee order to be complete. - The coffee lids for my to go cup did not fit. Two employees mentioned they were aware of the poor quality lids, but did nothing to address the issue until I requested a new cup and lid.. Walk-ins/in-door dining currently not allowed due to low staffing. We've been coming to this location for the last year and everything is ok. Yes, the line can be ridiculously long depending on the time you arrive and they may be out of your favorite if you swing by in the afternoon; however, generally the wait isn't too long especially if you consider the fact that they currently can't take walk-in traffic. All of the staff are super friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy being at their job. Doughnuts are all currently $2 each because you're worth it, which is a nice treat. For those of you who haven't been to a Top Pot before, the doughnuts are chewy and sweet. We usually get the Maple Old Fashion, Chocolate Bar, Double Trouble, and the Valley Girl. Very cute donut spot. I'll get right to the points here: They were following all covid protocols, the employees were very sweet, the donuts were hot and fresh, and the coffee was great. The downsides are they offered little to no seating. There was a few outdoor tables but that was it. Oddly enough there is no outdoor trash can either. I've ordered from here twice and it's totally fine, nothing to write home about. Highly recommend that if you want anything from here, just WALK IN. The line for the drive in is always long and slow, and there's basically never a line inside. I don't know why people don't just park their cars and waste less gas and less time. Anyhow, chocolate glazed/iced is good. Salted caramel is inconsistent (sometimes not that salty, sometimes more salty). Raspberry bismark has very sweet filling and so does the Bavarian cream filled. If you want more balanced (aka less sweet) doughnuts I'd recommend going somewhere else. One plus is that currently for the month of September, all their doughnuts are $2. That price is reasonable for the quality. I would not go out of my way for these doughnuts. read more

I gave some lady that sounded like she smoked 40 pack of cigarettes a day my order and she seemed confused when I said 2 "two chocolate old fashioned". This is not my favorite location of Top Pot, but because I work close to here, it's the location I frequent the most. The parking lot shape is a little strange, but there's always plenty of parking available. The interior of the shop is large enough and there's always more than enough seating (I rarely see more than two people sitting inside and eating their donuts), but because there's both a drive-thru and a counter inside, there never seems to be the right amount of staffing. It's rare that I come here in the morning and don't have to wait for an employee to finish taking an order for the drive-thru or finish making a coffee. I'm sure it's probably difficult to staff both since traffic is a little unpredictable, but it doesn't always make for the best experience. While checking my bank statement on line today, I realize, I'm assuming the cashier who waiting on me, added her on tip to the bill. I immediately called my bank to inquire.
