The people who work there are great, my only negative comment is the price. You can get the exact same Top Pot doughnut from the QFC up the street; instead of paying $2 per doughnut you can purchase them for $0.89 or less. You can also pick up a drip coffee for about the same or less. If you want a community feeling go to this location, but if you're looking at price and just want the Top Pot doughnut go elsewhere. read more

My girls got on wrong bus after school today, in the rain. They are 12 years old, so they were safe, but not happy. Ended up close to Juanita Top Pot doughnuts. We are so very stoked to have one of these in the neighborhood now!! Yippee. My family is pretty unoriginal with our likes here. Give us a dozen Double Trouble (chocolate covered chocolate) and we are super happy!! As for me, I'd be so excited if they would do a coconut version of the Double Trouble. That would be perfection. Many in my family love cream-filled chocolate donuts. Unfortunately, Top Pot uses a vanilla custard which my family is not terribly happy over. They would prefer that we make the trek to Issaquah for the Krispy Kreme version. Of course at that point they also want the chocolate covered glazed ones. Ugh - that's too much sugar. Hence my personal love for the Top Pot Double Trouble. Parking sucks at this location as does getting in and out of the complex. We typically do this with 2 people so that one can circle while they other fetches the order. Oh yeah - call ahead and preorder gets you in and out super quickly. read more

Living in Kirkland for a while the void of a good doughnut shop is pretty large but Top Pot doesn't meet the need for a few reasons. Staff - The people who work at this location, don't like working here or at least don't like families as you see them light up for younger couples or singles. We actually watched this and when I asked a question both people shrugged their shoulders. Doughnuts - I have traveled a lot and tried a lot of doughnuts, Top Pot doesn't put too much energy in to theirs. They add some colors, ride the Seahawks coat tails and usually don't have much selection and run out. Location/Seating/Space - This location is great, near the park and it should be a good fit for Juanita Village. I remember the buzz when they opened as we would take our kids to the park and then stop by and grab a doughnut on a Saturday. However over the past few months the setup indoors and out hasn't been the same. They have taken away the dog water bowl and the answer given by the staff was a dull "there was an incident", which really sounds like "we don't want to deal with it". Dog owners in Juanita are in the majority really cognizant of how to walk/deal with each other and sure maybe there was something but this is not a dog friendly location at all, especially with a park next door. Additionally, at 10 AM on a Saturday, why don't you have the tables and chairs set up? 10 AM is prime customer time for this area and you aren't set up for business? When we asked if they could unlock the chairs on two separate occasions we were told they weren't going to today, on a Saturday? All in all another lame Seattle worker mentality with a overpriced product and pretty weak customer service all around. If you want a much better doughnut try Factory Donuts in Kingsgate area, not all the ambience but if you want a large selection of doughnuts for a great price and they are always fresh try them out! read more

I love the location of this new Top Pot. It is super convenient and right by juanita park so you can grab a donut and a coffee and walk around the lake. Their coffee is nothing to rave about, about the same quality as starbucks, maybe a little worse, BUT their donuts are really good. I always expect mass chains to have terrible donuts, but these were delicious! If I am feeling like a little delicious calorie bomb, I know where to go! read more

Went here on Memorial Day. It was a beautiful sunny day and we started off at Juanita Beach. Then wandered around some of the shops across the street. Very cool little area, felt like a village, with multiple coffee shops, restaurants, and apartments all nestled around a central courtyard. Came across Top Pot doughnuts after already visiting Starbucks (for the restroom) and Urban Coffee for a drip coffee. Top Pot doughnuts occupied a compact space with an open floor plan. The large garage style door let light and warmth into the store. The counter people were very nice and friendly. I had a Bavarian cream doughnut which was good, not exceptional, but good. Was reasonably priced. Enjoyed it at some tables that were set up outside. Quiet enough to talk. I definitely would come back here as I enjoyed my visit. But less for the doughnuts and more for the location and overall ambiance of the area. . read more

I'm tired of this place not being able to figure it out. The first time I came here, they had closed two hours early. The second time I came here, I was able to buy some doughnuts. The third time I came here, they had a sign on the door stating that they were out of doughnuts three hours before closing time. Either run a business or don't. As a big fan of donuts, I've been anxiously waiting for Top Pot to open. As soon as it did I went and bought an assortment of donuts from each pricing tier. I was disappointed all around. The donuts are big, but nothing special and way overpriced. I wouldn't be surprised if they are shipped in every morning. If you're looking for great donuts, I'd recommend Countryside donuts which, in my opinion, are exactly how good donuts should taste. If you want to stay in the Juanita area, go to Urban coffee and grab one of their tasty donuts (usually 3 favors). read more

Totally disappointing. I will occasionally grab a Top Pot donut at the nearby QFC and found them to be fresh and good... not amazing but good. Thought the offerings at an actual Top Pot shop would be better but instead of the fresh donut at QFC got a half dozen dried out overly bready, cold and apparently stale donuts at a significantly higher price. I've been here twice so far and both have been great experiences - the staff is friendly and it just has this small town feel going on in that they want to get to know you and see you again soon. They have a stamp card for drinks and the first time I went in the lady just stamped an entire card so I could try a free drink the next time I go in - how nice! They definitely know what they're doing in building up a solid group of regular customers. Anyway, this Top Pot is a cute, small shop that offers a variety of fresh, daily baked doughnuts - regular, cake, old fashioned, etc and a variety of drinks - coffees, teas, Italian sodas. So far I've tried the pumpkin glazed old fashioned doughnut and thought it was pretty good! I also redeemed my free drink (no restrictions) and tried a soy caramel latte. I'm no coffee expert, and am usually happy with my Starbucks, but this drink was really sweet! I do like my coffee on the sweeter side, but this was so much that I couldn't even finish it. Oh well, I'll just try something else next time. I still like this place, and will be back for more doughnuts and/or a drink. 4 stars :) read more

i have to commend the girl behind the counter here... she does know how to make an americano. you have to do it affogato style.... pour the espresso over the hot water, not the other way around. heard about this chain... donuts were ok. can't say its any better than a local shop, or krispy kreme... but it was a good donut. read more

I stopped in at the new Top Pot today and picked up three donuts. Honestly...I wasn't that impressed. The store is very nice (of course it is...it's new) but the donuts aren't the best I've ever had. I think they were a bit larger than doughnuts I've had from other places but overall they were a bit tough and they were way too expensive. Three doughnuts cost me eight dollars! For the money I'd run up the hill to Fred Meyer where I can get doughnuts of the same quality at half the price. Of course I'd have to drive there. Probably won't go back to this Top Pot. read more

Donuts are always fresh and they pull a nice cup of espresso. Coming from a background of knowing how to pull a good shot, I've never had grounds in my cup and my milk is not overly frothy. I don't know how much more you need from a donut shop but they also have outdoor and indoor seating. They also serve Boylan sodas, milk, lemonade, as beverage choices. This is always great for an after lunch dessert. read more
