But we have done the hot pot on at least 3 occasions...we've (even my mom and my mother-in-law) been very happy each time. The menu is humongous. You say you're a carnivore? No problem. A vegetarian? Got ya covered. Gluten free? You're probably ok (maybe a little cross contamination? Dunno). The combinations of sauces and add on spices are near endless...I calculated 6.02x10^23 possibilities. Can you get enough to eat here? Well, TPKBBQ offers free refills on all meats, seafoods, and veggies! You won't go away hungry. They do have mixed drinks and beer, but I've only ever gotten pop. The wife and brother-in-law got various bubble teas, and liked them. The service and kitchen are remarkably fast and efficient. You won't sit around waiting to eat. Atmosphere? Not bad for South Toledo! One warning. The ordering policy may seem a bit draconian, but it makes sense if you think about it. It's explained in the menu, so check it out before you go. Family has been in town from out of state since Thursday. We spent the weekend eating at a lot of newer Toledo establishments. Many of our families had not yet had any of the new "hotspots" It just happened to end up being a very Asian heavy weekend. (Koi/Top Pot) Top pot was great. The menu is enormous and the food and sauce combos are endless. We came in eight deep, my only complaint is not having enough large tables. If one person gets hot pot, everyone has to get hot pot. If you are going to make everyone at the table pay for hot pot, I think it's only fair to have enough hot plates for everyone at that table. I didn't even want hot pot, I just wanted the Korean barbecue portion, but I still had to pay the increased price. I get the concept, but if you are sitting at a table with six burners and there are eight people, it's a little ridiculous to make all eight of us pay for hot pot if we opt not to order broth and there's not even away for us to make a hot pot. We ordered a lot of food! There were a ton of appetizers, hot pots, and multiple rounds of ordering meats and vegetables. The staff stayed on top of it, we had our drinks refilled regularly, and we never had an empty plate. Prior to leaving, we all ordered bubble tea. This was not my first time here, but this was my first time coming with a group so large. In this instance, I didn't mind because the service truly was exceptional, but watch out for the gratuity that is added by the restaurant. Because it was a large table, they added automatic gratuity at 18 or 20% I can't remember which to be honest. I went to the podium and ordered my bubble tea to go and paid my bill. Without even thinking, I hit 20%, as I always do unless the service is terrible... Don't get me started on why we need to aggressively tip wait staff) As I was walking out, I looked down and realized I paid $62 for lunch! No alcoholic drinks, did not have a soft drink with my meal. Just korean bbq and a water plus my six dollar bubble tea to go. I figured someone else else's drinks or another person's check got added to mine. Nope! That's when I saw they had already added the automatic gratuity. So in addition to the automatically added gratuity, I paid 20% above that. Again, the weight staff were exceptional and we came in with eight people at 11:30 in the morning the minute the doors opened on a Sunday. I just want other people to be aware, not everybody has as much of a discretionary budget as I am unfortunate to have. When I checked into other people in my party suffered the same mistake. I would absolutely recommend the Toledo, Ohio location over the Columbus location anytime of the day! I love how this location allows you to have unlimited free appetizers along with your meal. Obviously you cook your own food and season and sauce how you like- they have a seasoning and sauce bar so you can pick out how you'd like your food to taste! My sister and I went both of us had never been. We just did the grill because there's no way we could eat both. We had a lot of fun and I thought the food was good quality and fresh. We ordered onions, mushrooms, asparagus, pineapple, lettuce, garlic, and kimchi for our veg. Beef bolgogi, miso pork belly, ribeye, and short ribs for our meats and we both concocted sauces. They had a variety of other meats and seafood but I didn't want chicken cross contamination and Im allergic to shrimp so we stuck with beef and pork.We also got white rice and chicken dumplings. Our waiter was super sweet and explained everything. He switched over our grill plates without us having to ask and brought refills when needed. The interior of the restaurant is decorated really fun and they had K pop playing on a TV. This place would be really great for date night or a dbl date. Be careful ordering because we got full really fast and I can see how it would be very easy to over order. Definitely check out the Boba menu. This place is fantastic. Love the combination of hot pot and kbbq, and the all you can eat is incredible. This is a great place for groups and we've taken friends and family. You can order hot pot, kbbq, or both. There is a station where you can make your own sauces and then order proteins, veggies, etc to your heart's desire for your kbbq and hot pot. There's a great drink selection too and I believe they have bubble tea as well. There are whole bunch of different broth flavors and you get your own mini size which is nice, the only downside is not being able to try multiple broth flavors as some hot pot places have. Driving through Toledo on Christmas Day we find the top pot hot pot and BBQ. Table for 6 please! Your choices are only all you can eat. Can choose hot pot OR BBQ OR BBQ and hot pot. Just a note everyone at your table has to have the same thing! So since no one could decide we had BBQ and hot pot. It was fantastic!!! Broths were miso, Tom yum and chicken. We tried it all! Very good! Our favorites were spicy bulgogi, garlic shrimp, and the shrimp balls with ramen in hot pot. Portions are small so if many people want say mushrooms order 3-4. Booths and some large tables are available. Been to a few Korean BBQs but love this one with hot pot too! It was a little pricey esp since our children were counted as adults! My friend and I decided to dine here at 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday. There were maybe 6 tables when we arrived. We were seated promptly and the hostess was also our waitress. She asked if we had dined here before and we told her no, so she explained what some of the menu items were and what they went with ( bbq or hot pot). She also told us to order a little at a time because they charge for food waste. We decided to get both the hot pot and BBq because it was only $5 more per person. Drinks are not included in this price. The sauce bar and the deserts are however included. It is time consuming. There is a time limit of two hours and we were there for the whole two hours and it was just my friend and her 4 year old son. I got the Szechuan spicy broth. I liked it but as the broth cooked down the peppercorns also cooked down. This made the broth slightly bitter. If I go back next time I will get something that is plain broth and just add Thai chilies in my dipping sauce instead. I couldn't tell you what item I like the best. They kind of all blend together as you cook and eat. The server was super attentive we had to turn her down like 6 times when she asked if we needed more food. The place was clean on the inside and outside. Actually when I was waiting for my friend I saw a worker picking up trash around the parking lot. I like hot pot because it's fun and you get to hang out with your friends but I always feel like I can't eat anymore but I'm not full ( maybe satiated is the word). My bill with a Diet Pepsi was $40 my friend only had to pay for hers because her son got to dine for free. The server took him to measure his height to see if we had to pay for him. He just got new shoes so we told him to slouch. Haha we were just joking around. I actually don't know how tall kids have to be to pay. If you do have to pay for the kids, it's only $13.99 anyways. There was a bit of a wait - but that's what happens when the restaurant is awesome! The place is very casual and fun. Service was great- friendly and happy to help. We had both hot pot and bbq. Not one single thing was just "ok". It was all delicious, fresh and amazing. Just don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach, because you'll have to pay for what protein you order but don't eat, but... You have 2 hours to get whatever you want as much as you want. Food was good! Service was rude and my group felt extremely rushed during our whole meal. We had a party of three, arrived at 8pm and opted to do hot pot. We sat down with our server (older lady, gray hair, iPad crossbody) who gave us a menu run down and gave us a moment to decide. She recommended that we order little often, but proceeded to only offer two opportunities to order food. After we ordered our second round, she rudely said "that will be all you order." She also acted as if we were the last table of the evening when there were four other tables still actively eating and the restaurant was supposed to be open for another 45 minutes. She actively scoffed when we ordered more appetizers, I felt shamed for ordering more food at an "all you can eat" establishment. When we got our second round of food, she proceeded to tell us that we would go ahead and "get all of this cooked" and packed up to-go. We had 30 minutes until close. She proceeds to bring to-go containers as we are actively trying to enjoy our meal and company. My friend and I had spent 5 hours in the car to visit our friend for a little vacation and were extremely dissatisfied with our rude server. I am also a full time server and was disappointed to feel so rushed when I'm able to finally sit down and enjoy a meal, instead of work it. I suggest you're more welcoming to tables or I wouldn't seat them in your own section. read more

This place is an all you can eat hot pot and kbbq location. I was in town traveling for work and found this location. This is an awesome restaurant and I would highly recommend anyone to come try it out. K-pop music is usually being played at the restaurant with other TVs showing sports games and cooking shows. The service here was excellent with the staff explaining to anyone if they are new to Korean bbq or hot pot what the process is. I ended up going with the all you can eat kbbq option, but you can also get both options. There are a list of unlimited appetizers options ranging from fried rice, egg rolls, pot stickers, wings, etc. The meats that I ordered were beef bulgogi, Korean short rib, spicy pork belly, and soy sauce pork belly. They also have boba tea here so I ordered a passion fruit lime green tea. After ordering, you go to the sauce station to make your dipping sauces. I made the soy soy good which is a great option for people that are new to kbbq. It is such a cool option to allow people to make their own dipping sauces. There is also kimchi and seaweed salad that you can grab from the sauce station. Now you are ready to cook and eat your own meats at the grilling station at your table. I was excited to try this restaurant and I am overall happy with it! The staff were friendly and attentive, which helped since I came at an odd time. The price for AYCE is a pretty good deal! I like the sauce bar because you can make your perfect dipping sauce. The KBBQ beef bulgogi was delicious. This is the first KBBQ restaurant I've been to that provides butter (or anything) to put on the grill. The music was loud, but it is on par with similar restaurants. For the hot pot, the spicy Korean broth was ok; I did not get much flavor from it. Overall, I don't know if I would come again, but I would not be opposed if people suggested to go. read more

The table grill's exchaust fan actually worked pretty well, such that there wasn't a thick haze of grill smoke hanging in the air in the restaurant. That being said, I was there during 'between meal' hours, so not sure what its like duing a busy dinner rush, but the thick dank smoke is my least favorite part about the KBBQ restaurants. I also think it's very cute and kind of the restaurant to provide small disposable cups and mouthwash for us in the restroom. This place is new to our area and it is a must visit! We enjoyed the many many selections for Hotpot and Korean BBQ, it is all you can eat so come hungry! You do have to cook your own food, which is the fun part about the experience. It was overwhelming to choose what stuff to get but order a little at a time. You can always order more as you go, we did not have to wait long for our ingredients. I would say the bbq was the one that took the longest to cook. Hotpot ingredients cook very fast. Our server was Hannah and she was very attentive and friendly. They also surprised us with a birthday song for my sister's birthday, accompanied by a Panda mascot I also ordered the Brown Sugar Boba with tapioca pearls, my go to favorite. It was delicious! The sauce bar had plenty of options for your dipping sauce, I like mine sweet and spicy with a lot of garlic.
