You know this place is really good when their ratings are low. A pretty decent local authentic Chinese restaurant! No, they don't have hot pot, but their dishes are still quite delicious.

Sunday dinner with a friend and it was a good experience. Ordered chicken lo mein and chicken hot pot and shrimp dumpling. The sauces and flavoring was a bit low in the dishes but was ok. Decent prices Quick service Good ambiance Free parking Noodles company next door

I've been looking for best hot and sour soup in town... last time I accidentally ordered the hot and sour seafood soup because I was looking for large order.... But they only sell small one at $1.95 This time I got two hot and sour soup and since they require $10 min to charge on the website, got the chicken in garlic sauce. The soup was decent, lacked sourness though. Could have used more vinegar. While the chicken in garlic sauce was good, it was too oily. Recommend you order online, test message will let you know when the food is ready and recommend you go at that time. This review is only for pick up experience.

I was looking for a place for lunch, in Ann Arbor. Walking in, from the parking lot, you enter at the bar. There were a dozen other people, sitting around other tables and booths. It too a few minutes before the service, not too long, placed order, waitress stopped over with a glass of water, my order of pork fried rice and an egg roll arrived. The fried rice was served in a large bowl, and single egg tasted good. The Price was reasonable, worth the stop.

I've been coming here since it was Gourmet Garden. Their lunch specials were an amazing deal. I'm partial to the kungpao chicken, veg lomein, sizzling hot pots, shrimp- stuffed eggplant, and all of the soups. The best dish, by far is the Ma la scallops. It is full of fresh veggies and full sized sea scallops. This is consistently great Chinese food.

First off, I really enjoyed their Sesame Beef dish and had to order it again this time! It had just the right amount of breading and sweetness, and I enjoyed the broccoli, green and red peppers, and even sliced mushrooms that came with it. I personally thought the dish would have been even more enjoyable if there was more sauce so I would recommend asking for extra sauce if you're the type to want to smother it over your rice. I was not too impressed by the Vegetable Lo Mein, however, because the noodles were too broken apart in my opinion and lacked flavor when eaten by itself. I also thought that there would be more vegetable variety in this dish in general. Overall, I was happy and grateful that they were still operating under the COVID-19 crisis!

It's interesting they don't disclose that you get charged for the sauce bar (it's like $1.50/per a person). Good thing I got lots of sauces and they did have fresh sliced oranges! The shao lum bao (soup dumplings) had thick skin and flavor was ok so it didn't taste authentic to me and I was disappointed. The soup bases were ok tasting and got oily after cooking meat (we tried the creamy chicken soup base, the pumpkin soup base, and the spicy mild soup base). You order the soup bases and then select each of the items that are charged separately (like meat, vegetables, and dumplings or noodles). That is why it gets to be pricey! Overall, everything tasted ok. Even the sauces were not as tasty (but prob my fault for not mixing them well). It was good to try once but would not return. Unless their prices dropped hahaha

Next time we will just do the hot pot because there's so many options for it. Everything was fresh and clean, we were very pleased and thought the food was delicious. We told our waiter it was our first time there and he explained everything but it was really fast. We were able to eventually figure things out, but we made a mess. The pricing was a little confusing, but it's an all you can eat place and we expected it would be on the higher end and would have to pay extra to take leftovers home. We definitely plan to return!

There a buffet style station in the back that has all the sauces, desserts, fruit, and fried food. There's a cooler with individual ice cream (strawberry, mint, vanilla, chocolate) and wooden spoon palettes. My only complaint is that the grill took so long so our meat took forever to cook. Service was pretty good. If we needed anything, we would ask and it would be provided. We needed a couple grill changes.

Plus dedicated aisles to dry goods like sauces and noodles, chips and crackers, sweets, beverages, etc. they also have a butcher counter (cannot speak to the quality of that but it looked good) and a produce section with both more traditional produce you can find in most stores in the US as well as some imported treats like pears and such. I also noticed some imported dairy aisle staples like milk (soy and otherwise), eggs (chicken and duck), and yogurt. Prices, especially for a store that mostly carries imported goods, seem pretty reasonable, though I honestly didn't end up purchasing anything (it's hot out and I wouldn't be home for a while). But now that I've been I can definitely see myself coming back again for a more dedicated shopping trip in the future.
