First & last time going to this place. Went for a pedicure w/ my daughter. We were on a time crunch so only had time for an express pedicure w/ shellac. My nail tech & the other one doing my daughters pedicure were both pushy & kept asking if we wanted more services. I'm like no, we don't have time, not today. Then proceeds to ask me if I want more... I'm like no I said I don't have time today. Neither one of the children's pedicure chairs worked. So my daughter sat on the edge of the seat uncomfortable the whole time as the nail tech splashed water all over her pants. I think bc I only wanted the express pedicure the nail tech was unnecessarily rough on my feet. I asked her 3 times to straighten the nail on my big toe bc it was crooked. Finally she just handed me the nail file & I straightened it myself. When my toes were drying she kept bumping the dryer on my toes messing my toes up even more. The whole time the nails techs talked back & fourth & seemed like they were more concerned with their conversation than actually doing a good job. Like damn yall don't see each other all day while yall sit here waiting for customers ?! Never going to this place again. They don't seem to care about the customer experience or about doing a good job. I doubt they make any money or will stay open for business if they keep this up. Not the cleanest and definitely not enjoyable.... I also got there right when the opened with many nail techs available and they let someone's creepy teenage son start my gel pedicure with a massage. I asked for the basic pedicure (5 min massage per leg) and it was the longest experience ever with him saying things like "you like your massages hard?" And asking weird questions about my marriage.... These are just a couple examples of non-stop weird questions all through him staring and smiling at me like he was trying to flirt. Yesterday was my first time going to this nail salon. I was greeted at the door by a friendly face. The staff were all very welcoming and nice. Some places really make you feel as though you are an inconvenience to them just for being there to pay for services. Not here. I was told repeatedly "thank you so much for choosing us" and "we appreciate your business" I got a full set along with a pedi. They actually massage your feet, like a REAL massage! It was so relaxing. My nail tech was super meticulous at cleaning up my nails, clipping, sanding, cutting cuticles, polishing... all of it. I never once felt as though I was being rushed out of the chair. Big difference compared to a few other places Ive gone to in the past. They even offer a discount punch card for repeat customers, which is great because as someone who works on their feet Ive been looking for a regular place to go to get my bi-weekly pedicures. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but feet shouldn't feel worse after a pedicure, and should certainly not hurt for several weeks afterwards. During my last appointment at Top Q, the side of my foot was cut with a callus remover file, the cuticle pushing and nipping process was so rough my toes ached for days, and my big toenails were trimmed improperly. They were cut in a tapered "coffin" shape that is known to cause ingrown toenails, and that is still causing me pain, over three weeks after the appointment. When I went back to address my concerns, I was told these issues were no big deal, and that my nails had been cut this way because they were already ingrown. They weren't, but even if that were the case, trimming them in this shape would only exacerbate the issue. I will go somewhere else in the future, where hopefully the staff will be trained on how to not hurt their clients. read more

I have gone here to get my nails done once a month for a very long time. Today I took my daughter to get her nails done for her engagement photo shoot. A man named Kevin did a dip nail manicure on her. He charged $5 extra to file the tips. When he was done, four of her nails were bleeding. He dipped her bloody nails in the dip polish. When we complained about the bleeding, he refused to refund her money - unless he took off all the polish and tips. I called the owner John later and explained the situation, he stood behind Kevin by saying "accidents happen". One finger bleeding is an accident. Four fingers is an unqualified manicurist. All it would have taken to resolve the situation was to refund her money. I will find a new place to get my nails done. read more

Shellac pedicure was fine- no real complaints- manicure whole different story. Station was dirty/dusty. Technicians hands were rough sharp nails and he was rough and jerky grabbing my hands to the point of pulling my arms from their sockets and just not pleasant. Led light smelled like vomit when it was on. Barely filed anything and didn't take any time to even things out or clean up edges. The tips of my nails are bumpy and rough and catching on everything. Didn't wash his hands before applying the final lotion and just- eew. Lotion and nail file grit - real nice. I'm not a remotely girly girl I just like the stupid gel nails so they look nice for longer. And I don't see these lasting. read more

I came in for a pedicure and a very young boy started massaging my legs and bruised me. Another woman came to finish and did not scrub my heels which is one of the reasons I go for a pedicure. Went in with my friend to get manicures and the guy who works there was soooo rude! Cut his finger, then proceeded to "glue" it shut! DO NOT GO HERE! i never write reviews but after i left Top Q nails in Bellevue i HAD to. The ONLY reason i went here was because my usual place (Regal Nails inside walmart amazing place, 10/10, was booked). I went with a friend and my mom and we ALL had a horrible experience. I sat with my nails soaking in a bowl of acetone for 30 minutes while they searched all over for the dip powder i wanted. once they finally found it and my fingers were dry and cracking they were about to start dipping my nails but they only had one base coat. ONE! in the whole salon! so i had to wait for my mom to get her nails completely finished so they could use the base coat. the nail tech got the base coat all over my fingers so the powder stuck to it and my nails were extremely chunky looking. once he began filing my nails with the electric file he was so rough and CUT me VERY deep under nail. i ripped my nail out of his hand and yelled "ow!". he took my hand back and kept going, ignoring the blood and then squeezed my fingers to keep me from moving. overall a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. i wouldn't go back if it was the last place on this earth. read more

Not my normal go to place but I was in the area and figured I'd give it a try. I was the only one in there yet my service was rushed. I got acrylic with shellac and it looks like they're 2 weeks old when I just got them done a day ago. None of the nails are the same length and when I addressed the issue he would pretend to fix it but nothing looked different. The shellac was put on so horribly that it's textured on my nails and doesn't even fill the whole nail. The guy gave me $3 off, yes a whole $3 since I wasn't happy with my nails but then charged an extra $5 for requiring "extra work." Definitely do not recommend find somewhere else to go. read more

I was given a very generous gift certificate to use at the salon and was anxious to have services they provide. I received a very pretty polish, but the nails were not trimmed to even lengths, which I felt was rather odd. Granted, my nails are not long at this time, but clipping them to an even length would have been a nice gesture. The foot massage, with the hot stones, and massage chair were really nice, though. My person messed up my thumb nail 3 times and all three tried to blame it on me we had a fill with gel color dirt mistake was my nail polish looked super clumpy and he was going to let me walk out until I pointed it out and somehow that was my fault then the same nail the nail polish was ALREADY chipping on the side so I complained he said it's my fault for moving like HOW! Now a day later my gel polish has chipped I have never had from any nail salon gel polish that chipped I notice they used a different gel brand that didn't require a bottom coat so that's probably why and also all I have done since I left the nail salon was watch Netflix and sleep! No way should my nail polish already be chipped honestly this place is pure trash!! I had been going to Top Q for a few months. I loved the different powders to use for tips. I didn't like not having the same person each time or waiting for 15 plus minutes when they had no other customers. Some techs made my nails natural and some made them abnormally thick and bumpy. Criticism is not listened to and if they did listen, you got attitude back. For the money I paid for a mani/pedi every 3 weeks, I should not have to go home and fix my nails.
