Food, service, and wait times were all solid across the board. Nothing felt rushed or dragged out. It all came out at a nice pace. The food itself tasted great, not overdone or heavy, and portions were just right. The Thai iced tea especially hit the mark. Water was filled quickly. Only real downside was the noise situation. There seemed to be a birthday celebration every 10 minutes, and each one came with the same loud music blast and the same birthday song on repeat. It kind of breaks the flow of the meal after a while. Once in a bit is fine, but it felt like it was on a loop. Limit it to 1 hour minimum between celebrations. read more

This is solid casual sit down table order or take out affordable traditional Thai food Resturant with amazing food and a very extensive menu. Service was excellent with all dishes served at perfect time and water filled regularly and extra attention. I was surprised to not see my favorite noodle dish Pad Kee Mao on the menu and inquired. The very accommodating excellent waitress pointed out that one of the bitches was Poki, but served with udon noodles and then I could substitute out for the big fat wide rice Noodles (or even Glass Noodles). The glass noodles sounded delightful, but I wanted a traditional Noodles. Oh my goodness these are the best big rice noodles I've had such a long time. They were so so thick and cooked perfectly! It had green beans eggplant and That basil and a perfect spice and served piping hot. My husband also had a special order because he's on low sodium diet and they accommodated him with the steak and steamed fries and salad. My daughter is a regular here and always gets the fresh rolls with tofu and the tom yum soup with chicken substituted for shrimp which she loves. The only criticism I have is the cleanliness of the walls and cabinetry in the bathroom area and right outside of the kitchen. Makes me wonder a bit about the kitchen.. Even with a reservation we had to wait about 45 minutes past our time to get a table, which was pretty annoying. The place was totally packed and buzzing, seemed like every other table was celebrating a birthday so the vibe was definitely high energy. Once we actually sat down the service speed was decent though. I tried the Thai iced tea and Mango Maitai for my drinks. The Maitai tasted exactly like Indian Maaza, which was a nice surprise. We shared the roti and some veg dumplings for starters, and the roti was quite good. For my main I had the spicy basil fried rice and the portion was filling enough to put me in a food-coma. My friends really liked the red snapper and the kow soi too. Overall the food is solid, but I'm not sure if it's worth waiting nearly an hour extra when you already have a reservation. read more

My favorite Thai spot in nyc! I used to go to their original location, but this one is significantly bigger. It's so cozy and cutely decorated too! We got the early bird special, which our server told us that it would be less than the full-sized entree. It was soo much for us! Lol way too much food but no complaints and I appreciate her trying to look out for us. I got the basil udon, which never disappoints. My husband got the pad see ew with skirt steak and it was so good! The early bird special also comes with an appetizer and drink, and is a good value. One of the best restaurants for large groups of people imo! Came here with a reservation for a group of 7 on a Monday night and the service was amazing. Water was always full, never had to flag anyone down, waiters were friendly and hilarious. My friend and I split 1 starter and 1 entree and we were stuffed. The crispy calamari tasted incredibly fresh, tangy, and savory and I would definitely order it again. The Panang curry with duck was amazing as well, and the portion of duck meat was huge. This is one of the few halal-friendly Thai spots in NYC so I took my Muslim friend for a lovely lunch here to try their food and new cocktails! The new cocktails for their happy hour in 2026 are the Espresso Martini, Caribbean Kiwi, and Fruit Punch Martini. All 3 were quite good! I also liked their rich and creamy Thai Iced Tea and their mocktails. The Rose Margarita and The Ocean are pretty and nice for a photo or video. We tried the Appetizer Platter and we chose to do the Grilled Skirt Steak with "Jeaw Sauce". Crab Rangoon, and Crispy Basil Roll. The steak was cooked a nice medium-rare and was yummy. The Basil Udon with Crispy Duck is their very popular noodle dish here which I liked. I just don't like bamboo shoots so next time I'd ask them to take it out of the dish. The Shrimp & Crab Meat Fried Rice was packed with fresh shrimp and crab. The Whole Fish Red Snapper with 3 Flavors Sauce blew me away. It's very crispy, boneless, and flavorful. For dessert, we got the new Pandan Toast Bread with Ice-Cream. It was sweet but comforting. You will get incredible service and feel like you're in the streets of Thailand once you're seated here. I can't believe this place is highly rated. First, everything is fake the moment you walk in -- fake flowers, fake vegetables, fake plates. Second, it's the kind of place with a 15-page menu and 60 different items, which means to me they don't really know what they're supposed to be doing. She has a lot of food allergies and out server was very attentive and good at making sure that nothing was prepared that she was allergic to. Their drink cocktails menu was extensive. They have an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We ordered the duck rolls as an appetizer along with the shrimp and crab meat, fried rice, and the chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious the fried rice taste super fresh well seasoned didn't need any sauces or toppings to make it any better than it was. Been here again few time before and post lunch menu changes (went from $16 to $19) The lunch special is NOT particularly a great deal. Previously as early as 3 months ago, it used to be $16 for an app ( spring rolls, clear soup or side salad) and entree. Then it would be $1/$2 add on for soda or tea/thai tea/Shirley temple etc. Now. Its $19 flat price for the app/entree/"free" drink which includes boba tea as an option if desired. The deal isn't really a great deal as the portions are small and there is the same add on prices for proteins other than veggie/tofu. (Ie: grilled steak is $6 so the lunch special would end up being $25) Flavor is alright. It can be a bit saucy / salty but portion size for the pricing is really the bummer. Desserts are ALL $17 (ie: ice cream scoop & chocolate cake (similar to apple bees cake) is $17). Candles are $3 extra. There is NO more "free" dessert for birthdays that previous customers have noted. If you bring a cake to cut, it is $3 surcharge fee per person add on. You can waive the fee if you buy a dessert. Overall, there are better lunch specials around the neighborhood. If you take a look at the various lunch pictures I've posted, you will see the portions are pretty small for the value. Solid spot - came for a birthday dinner with the fam. The waiters are super nice and kept refilling our water. I'm not sure if the Thai flavors here are super authentic, but the food is solid. We shared a large beef soup, the flavors were good here. I liked the broth and the meatballs inside. Also used chili oil to give the soup some heat. We got the Thai app sampler: wings, calamari, and spring rolls. The wings were a hit - the seasoning was great! Everything else was ok. Nothing to write home about. I tried the spicy udon stir fried noodles with crispy duck. The duck was a bit dry, but the noodles were tasty. Too much sauce in the dish though. Honestly I'm not really sure what's the difference between a Moscow Mule and Thai Mule. The waiter said that the Thai version had some basil inside but I thought it tasted around the same. I did really liked the sugarcane though! - Grilled Skirt Steak with Fried Rice - I honestly really liked this dish and the fried rice was absolutely delicious as it was full of that meaty flavor. I thought the skirt steak was quite good as well especially when it first came out of the edges were a bit crispy. I will say when it got a bit colder, the steak went a little limp and was not as good as before. - Crispy Duck Panang Curry - I am absolutley obsessed with this dish. The curry was very rich and went extremely well with the rice, but the true star was the duck which was extremely crispy. I think this was one of the best made ducks I've had in the city as the meat itself was also incredibly tender. Great Thai restaurant and I will be back to eat the crispy duck. read more

My husband and I have had Top Thai on our must try list for years and after hearing from an inside source there was going to be a must try Thai place that was going to open. After finally making the trek from Jersey, it exceeded the high expectations we already had. We already knew the cocktails were going to be amazing (inside source and lychee martinis all day) and we were lucky enough to arrive after a newly updated menu fresh off a trip to Thailand. The duck spring rolls, dumpling platter, calamari salad, and duck special were more than enough to fill three people but we just had to try the crab Rangoon which was worth every overstuffed bite. No room for the noodles so another reason to comeback. It wasn't just the food that was amazing but the whole vibe was cheerful and happy. It also tasted like it had black pepper in it which wasn't quite the heat I expected in this dish. The green papaya was crudely cut and took away from the delicate texture experience. What came next was the Whole Branzino with lime. I was speechless at the preparation, one of the best branzinos I've had in a long time. This dish had beautifully layered flavors marinating a perfectly steamed whole fish. Don't skip the cheek meat! The depth of the fish dish surely rectified my lackluster som tum experience. Our waitress told us one of the dishes wasn't spicy at all but it was EXTREMELY spicy and then when we asked for a bowl of plain rice she laughed in our face :( our waitress rushed us and kept asking if we were done and took my drink away before I was done. She then was very aggressive when we paid, telling us that tip was not, in fact, included in the bill. We were going to tip already but I felt that was very forward and unnecessary? After like 5mins she then told us we had to leave because they needed the table but we sat down around 7:05 and left at 7:50, so we had drinks and our food within 45mins! Most places give us the table for at least 1hr and 15mins so this was very short! Would've appreciated them giving us more time to enjoy the restaurant. I visited Top Thai yesterday with six colleagues to celebrate my manager's birthday and another coworker's birthday, and unfortunately the experience left a very bad impression. In the middle of dinner, a waitress accidentally spilled an entire dish onto my manager's leather bookbag. Accidents happen, but what was disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. There was no apology from the staff member involved. Instead, my manager was simply handed some napkins and then asked to move aside so the staff could clean the floor. The floor remained extremely oily after the spill, creating a potential slipping hazard for everyone at the table. What frustrated us most was the complete lack of effort to make things right. Throughout the evening, the staff seemed much more focused on upselling drinks and desserts than addressing the inconvenience caused by the spill. Nothing was comped, no manager came over to apologize, and there was no acknowledgment of the damage to my manager's belongings. To make matters worse, because our party had seven people, an automatic 20% gratuity was added to the bill. It felt wrong to be required to pay a substantial service charge after receiving such poor service and such a disappointing response to a serious mistake. My manager told us this used to be one of his favorite restaurants, but after this experience he has no intention of returning. The rest of us support his decision not to come back and will be following suit. Sadly, I feel the same way. read more

Best Thai place in NY!! The food was super tasty. I got the Grilled Skirt Steak with Black Pepper Sauce. The steak was immaculate: super tender and juicy and the right proportion of meat vs fat. Plus, they give you 16 oz, which is a lot. But they also give you a lot of rice, vegetables, and fries (aka a lot of carbs), so you are GUARANTEED to be full. Months ago, a friend and I walked past this place and noticed their happy hour chalkboard outside the entrance. We'd always talked about checking it out - finally we did and wow-wee did we love it. We walked-in with a party of 4 just before 6pm. If you plan on coming later, you definitely should make a reservation because the place fills up quick. Their happy house ends at 7pm and it is popular for a reason. The drinks are big and sweet and deliciously refreshing. I really don't think you could go wrong with any option. Prices are fantastic too and I love that you can size up for an extra few dollars. My party and I split their chicken wings, which were good. All in all, an amazing experience. ordered a curry which was $26 and was given a tiny tiny box of rice to go with it. I politely asked for another small box of rice to try and get somewhere close to a normal amount of rice one would have with a curry dish and they yelled at me and said I had to spend $5 for a side of rice. When I said I expected a side of rice to come with a curry dish (especially for a dish that's almost $30), the manager yelled at me again and said I could just give the curry back. I've never been treated like this in my life by a restaurant service member and I will not be ordering from there again. The food is overpriced and nowhere near good enough to account for that kind of behavior toward a paying customer. read more
