Panang Chicken Curry - This was very good. Had a great flavor and a small kick. I would prefer a little more spice, so might ask next time, but this was my favorite dish we tried. (Note: Curry does not come with rice) Fried Rice - Standard fried rice, nothing special, but went well with our curry! Pad See Ew - We ordered this with pork. Top Thai Table has changed ownership around six weeks ago. I hadn't been going to the old one, because a few of the women were so strangely unfriendly. The new ownership/staff are incredibly friendly now. The food was outstandingly fresh. The dumplings were tasty. The Chow Mein was yummy!I loved the flavor of the red curry! I visited Top Thai Table on a weekend afternoon - a rarity since I always enjoy lunch specials at Thai restaurants. Feeling only slightly adventurous, I tried the Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef and was pleasantly surprised. The portions were alright, and there were many ingredients. My favorite part of the rice was that it held well together and was easy to eat. However, I found the overall flavor to be too salty and ended up drinking a few glasses of water. I also had an opportunity to try a piece of fried fish from a friend, and I also found it to be on the saltier side. The fish was encased in quite a bit of breading but was otherwise as expected. Although it was a weekend afternoon, I was a little disappointed to see that we were the only my friend and I were the only party dining in. Excellent food! I love their soups, with a side of rice! When you come here you can't go wrong in the flavor, freshness and consistency of their dishes Why are they not getting 5 stars? 1. Torn plastic tab clothes on the tables 2. Every time I come and ask for sticky mango with rice (on the menu) they never have it 3. The waitresses are grouchy! Maybe it was an off night for them, it's hard to say. We placed our order over the phone, we were told to come by in 30 minutes to pick it up, and we showed up on time to get it. The problems started there. 1. It took an additional 60 minutes to put the order together, so we had to wait with hungry kids in the car for an additional hour. 2. They were unable to make 3/5 of our dishes (no sweet and sour chicken, no brown rice, no fresh rolls). Had we known when we ordered, we would have gone somewhere else! 3. The dishes they could make were a shadow of their former glory. The Massuman curry was tasty, but the vegetables were undercooked. Really good food here! We came here after going to the park, it was windy that day, so we wanted soup. So of course we ordered the Tom Yum chicken soup, as well as the tofu, seafood fried rice, and the crispy catfish in curry paste. All were great, I particularly enjoyed the catfish. The fry is light and crispy, and the sauce is herby. The service was quick, we were the only ones here who sat down to eat. Other people came and went for to go orders. I came here with a client for lunch. I'm quite surprised that they're able to serve Thai food vegan style by request. Maybe it's because my client is so outgoing like the "Mayor" in town whom everybody knows and adores, therefore gets special treatment?! Haha. Anyhow, this Thai place is old and well kept. A little nice hole in the wall type setting where it's quiet. Very Thai culture oriented per the statues and its decor. I'm not sure how a business survives when it's quiet, but they're surviving! The food here is okay. We ordered the Thai Green Curry vegan style with tofu instead of meat, and also Pad See Ew vegan style with tofu. We also had an appetizer... Yes, more tofu! But fried with sweet and sour sauce. Thanks to my vegan client, I'm all tofu'd out. LOL. And I had a Thai Iced Tea to wash it down. I was okay eating a vegan style lunch. The food was flavorful as it was freshly cooked. Large proportions, as I wasn't disappointed in most part. The only disappointing moment was my clunky flat rice noodles in my Pad See Ew. I don't know whether it was overcooked, or not enough oil used. But my flat rice noodles was like rice balls. Other than that, everything else was tasty including my Thai Ice Tea. The Green Curry was delicious, not too spicy for my pallette. We had brown rice instead of white. Yes, more healthy. Service was superb as everybody knew my client. We have been customers of Top Thai for 10 years, it has absolutely been one of our favorite restaurants ever. We always loved the food and the owners were excellent and super friendly. Well today that all changed. We ordered our normal dishes for take out. We were surprised to hear it was under new ownership and we specifically asked if the food was the same. They said yes that the food was the same, so we proceeded with our order. The food is NOT the same. It is not the excellent quality it used to be. It was dry and bland. We usually ask for the food medium spicy and we did the same and there was zero spice at all!!! Not only was the quality poor and tasteless, the cost for the same order we've been ordering for years was $30 more and there was less food in the packages. We are sad the old owners sold because they and their food will be missed. We will not return under the new owners and will be driving over to Thai Derm in Glendora for our Thai food fix. read more

I agree with the recent post by "Mama R." as well as all of the other recent posts. I have been coming here for YEARS (as you can see my original post from 12 years ago) and I have never encountered more appalling behavior from someone in a customer service role. Extremely poor customer service. A taller Asian woman (with glasses) has the worst attitude and should not ever be in a front of house position (or in any service job). I simply did a pick up order and got the rudest call after I ordered AND the most disgusting attitude when I arrived to pick up! She should learn what gratitude means when it comes to customers supporting local businesses that help keep the lights on and a paycheck in her pocket. The Manager/owner needs to have a reality check or risk losing more customers (or worse going out of business which is a shame for a business that used to be great). My family and I will never come back until something drastic changes with the restaurant's service issue or until the owner sells it to someone that's capable of running it. In the meantime, there are hundreds of other Thai-style restaurants to choose from! Don't waste your hard earned money here. read more

Most individuals rate a place based of looks. While appearances may be important for a restaurant, sometimes times those "little holes in the walls" sort of speak are the best food you'll ever have. Goggled this place by chance and must say I don't regret it. The food was excellent, ordered lunch specials, yellow curry, and bbq chicken. Didn't look like most typically Thai restaurants, but the taste and flavors were excellent. The portions were small, but frankly it was just enough. Since I've moved to Covina I have been on the hunt for my go to Thai restaurant and I think I've found it. After trying three Thai restaurants near me, I've found that their pad Thai and Tom kha is the best one I've had in this area. I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had, as I think dean noodles in hacienda heights wins that but their food is really good. They also had a very nice cashier and service was fast as I placed my order via phone 10 minutes before I arrived. We also had the steak salad which was good as well. I think next time I will try the larb. Can't wait to come back for more! read more
