Perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with fresh fish that balanced everything out really well. Definitely something I'd order again. The food itself was pretty good--the teriyaki salmon was flavorful, the rice was cooked well, and the portions of the various food were generous. My biggest issue was the bento box menu. There were so many combinations, add-ons, and choices that it became overwhelming trying to decide what to order. While having options is usually a good thing, the menu felt unnecessarily complicated and slowed down the ordering process. A simpler layout or a few recommended combinations would have made things much easier. Little Tokyo is a pretty cool spot with a nice Japanese interior. Located in the city of San Dimas this place does get busy for lunch and dinner. This spot sells lots of rolls, a variety of bento boxes you can pick and choose from, and sashimi. They have a massive menu of it ms, both raw and cooked, so I'm sure anyone can eat here. I have been here multiple times since and I enjoy the food here a lot. The service is also very quick even if the place is packed. I have tried the rolls, salmon Kama, beef, chicken, and salmon teriyaki. Overall I love the salmon a lot and anything that is a salmon roll fits me perfectly. I also enjoy their super cold ice green tea it is refreshing and also free refills. A good sport and I always love coming here. When you walk in, you have to scan a barcode to put yourself in line for reservations. The atmosphere is fun and the restaurant is located in the heart of San Dimas. The food is ok, however my big take away was the spicy tuna hand roll, that was delicious. The staff are very attentive you get the food right away to your table and they are delightful and very friendly. The customers we spoke to go there quite often and were interactive with my guest and I. This is a place. I definitely want to come back and explore the menu. I give little Tokyo restaurant in San Dimas on Bonita a four star. We will definitely be back to try out some other things on their menu. Nice, clean, and spacious restaurant located in a plaza with lots of parking. There is a wide selection of salads, sashimi, sushi, and rolls. We ordered the Osaka Sashimi and Double Hamachi Roll. They were delicious. The Double Hamachi Roll was really good and flavorful. The Sashimi were fresh and good sized slices. I would love to return to try all the other rolls but the service was slow. We were their second guests at opening and ordered first but it took a while for our food to come out. Also, we were almost done with our Hamachi before our Osaka Sashimi came out. Had a nice solo lunch on a Saturday. Easy parking, the restaurant is quite sizable and probably gets busy in the evenings. I opted for the Osaka Chirashi, and it was quite good. The fish was very fresh and the servings were very generous, and my raw fish cravings were satisfied. I've been trying a few sushi places in the area and this was the most authentic I've had so far. The rice was seasoned well, as it should be for a chirashi bowl. My only complaints would be the rice was a little too hard for my taste, but perhaps this was intentional. Also, the miso soup lacked depth, and didn't have much wakame or tofu, the green onions were nowhere to be found. Otherwise very good food and nice ambience. read more

Little Tokyo Restaurant is impressive! We haven't dined here in a couple years, but it seems they have remodeled and rebranded this location. We were seated immediately upon arrival. There was plenty of booths in the area we were seated. The staff here was incredible. They were attentive and efficient during our entire time. The menu has so much to offer. I think there was about 10 pages. The menu can be quite extensive, but they do not rush you at all. After a few moments, we decided to go with "Tokyo Sushi" under the Tokyo Signature menu. This was $47 and perfect for sharing. It's consisted of otoro, bluefin tuna, salmon, yellowtail, halibut, seared albacore, ikura black snapper, jumbo scallop, sweet shrimp, real blue crab maki. Some premium options and in total about 16pc all together. The presentation was mesmerizing! Served in a wooden sushi box, the whole thing was neatly organized and displayed like a work of art! Compliments to the chef that put the box together. The sushi looks so freshly presented you don't even know where to start eating because it all looks so delightful. The presentation of the box makes it so easy to take great photos of the sushi. We also ordered two handrolls. One salmon and one salmon skin handroll. You have the option to make the salmon skin extra crispy. That was a gamechanger each bite was crispy and added texture. Upon finishing the Tokyo Sushi box, our server noted we could have the shrimp head deep fried and it's free of charge. This was a great suggestion by our server, Joon L. Overall, our experience at Little Tokyo was one to remember. The quality of the sushi and extensive options would make us want to come back again. My husband and I wanted a quick weekday dinner at a sushi restaurant, and without thinking too much, we decided to check out this place. And I'm so glad we did! From the outside you might not expect much since the building keeps its certain traditional style that match with the rest of the buildings in San Dimas, but once you step inside, it is surprisingly modern and clean. As new homeowners, we couldn't stop admiring the lighting, the accent wall, and the overall interior design. Our server was polite and sweet, and she surprised us with a weekday BOGO 50% off deal! We had not known about it beforehand, so it was a pleasant surprise. We ordered four rolls, and every single one was delicious. But our favorite had to be the Maui roll, the one with green plum, truffle mayo, and real blue crab. Even on a Thursday night, the restaurant was fairly busy, which is always a good sign. The BOGO deal is such a great offer, especially in this economy, and I really hope more people find out about this hidden gem. 6pm, Friday, August 29, 2025 I never been to Little Tokyo Restaurant in San Dimas. My GPS was spot on, I arrived with plenty of time before my reservation. Prior in the week, I reached out via Yelp and the manager answered a few of my questions such as: is it busy during dinner service on Friday, and are reservations accepted. He responded positively yes to both questions. A+ for prompt replies. Parking: A+, plenty in the shopping center. I walked in not knowing what to expect. First thing I see, vending machines for the kiddies! And a quartet of young children making noise having a blast while their parents are shooshing them, haha. Okay, LTR, is family friendly. Oof, there's a queue of customers waiting to be seated! I don't know, at least 12-16 I walked past to check in with the hostess. She said she'll call when the table is ready. The line steadily dwindled down, however, a walk-in family of four w/o reservations, decided to leave b/c ETA was 45 minutes. Busy evening for sure. We were finally called and seated at a booth. The service here is spot on, very attentive, at least 6 times. They had music playing and the crowd noise made it a little bit hard to hear conversation. Noise level: above average For starters, ice water and an app of edamame. The edamame was nicely salted and warm. I typically gauge Japanese restaurants by a common item that most places serve: the bento box. Here I chose the 3 item dinner ($25). My selections were from the grilled and fresh columns: teriyaki chicken (crowd fave), 4 pc sushi (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp), 6 pc sashimi (2 tuna, 2 salmon, 2 yellowtail). I also added a large Kirin Ichiban beer ($9.5). The bento with an ice cold beer were winners! KRs bento came with a larger than expected salmon collar piece. I thought it was huuggge! Lol. I'll have to try that next time. It looked so delicious. The timing of the two bentos were not coordinated. Mine came out first. We waited for what seemed like ten minutes for the other bento with the salmon collar. But the food was delicious. read more

Trying the Osaka chirashi, mixed poke, soft shell crab, super crunch roll, and chicken cutlet. The sashimi in the chirashi are fresh and just the right portion. The soft shell crab is fried perfectly that is crunchy and yummy. Super crunch roll come with fried wonton pieces draped on the outside that makes it crispy. My favorite is their mixed poke bowl, perfectly seasoned pokes and large portion. I had salmon sushi and Japanese burrito. The burrito suffers from severe shrinkflation. It's the smallest I've seen, so that was a little disappointing, but the food fresh and tasted good. Staff was very polite, but no one checked on me during my meal or offered to refill my drink. I was considering ordering more food, but no one ever came back. When I finished my meal my plates were cleared from the table, but then again, I was just sitting there waiting for the bill. No one ever came. I decided I wanted to try a local vendor for sushi., I looked at the menu and called the restaurant. The gentleman that took my order was very helpful, my son had tried the "Washington roll" ., he mentioned they don't do that roll but they have something similar called the Philly roll., he asked me to explain to him what the ingredients were and he would see if they can make something same or similar and sure enough the Philly roll was amazingly good and flavorful. This person went way out of his way to help us get the best tasting sushi and had our order ready by the time I got there. The service was amazing, I cant remember if his name was Daniel but he really works from the heart. The vibe inside was very chill and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves fairly well. Overall, flavors were good and the servers were all very attentive. Today is 1-15-2026 I decided to go to this restaurant which has been an all time favorite of mine for the past 28 years! I Took a friend here for the 1st time.
