We used to visit this place often, but my last couple of visits were very disappointing. We ordered the Pad See Ew, and the broccoli was clearly not fresh--it had turned yellow, and the noodles tasted burnt. The quality was far below what I would expect from a restaurant. We also ordered the red curry. The curry itself was okay, the rice seemed like it had been sitting for days. It was hard and dry. I'm so surprised this place wasn't packed, because it was so authentic and deliciously scrumptious. We had the pad see ew and pad thai as main entrees, the pad see ew was abit spicy for me but it was delicious. Just avoid the peppers or ask for less spicy if possible (i think we got mild already but it was still spicy!) Which is why we enjoyed pad thai more. I feel like you can never go wrong with pad thai but this location makes it more flavorful than others, I can't describe it but they definitely put more ingredients that make it more flavorful than many others I've had. PS the thai tea and mango sticky rice were so good that even though I was so full I was able to finish it all This is definitely a hidden gem and would come back again if I'm in the area! Driving by arrow highway after running errands I was very hungry. I saw this place on the south side of arrow and thought I'd give it a try it wasn't very busy but it was a holiday and I was greeted kindly by a gentleman and after reviewing the menu I opted for yellow curry and Tom Yum soup. The Tom Yum was delicious they make it as spicy as you want it I followed it up with the chicken curry it had perfectly cooked carrots and potatoes not to overcooked the curry sauce it was just right with the side of white rice and egg roll and dipping sauce and a salad. I have been wanting to try this place out for a long time! I wish I had tried it when I first saw it! Not only was the service excellent the food was amazing as well! A little family owned business that I hope will be around for years to come! When I first walked in I was greeted by Weiki! She was so polite and asked if I had been there before and when I told her no she thanked me for coming in! They have a daily lunch special and a daily all day special! I saw on their signs outside advertising some of their dishes and had to try the pork belly with Chinese broccoli!!! To say it was delicious is an understatement!!! It was so flavorful and tasty I'm glad that I ordered it! I also ordered the yellow curry with pork which was just as tasty and delicious!! I ordered the appetizer Rosie platter which came with a little bit of variety!!! The crab cheese wontons were the best I've ever had! They were the exact amount of crispy and the filling melted in my mouth!! The whole thing didn't disappoint!! I also ordered the orange chicken which was delicious. The side salad w the house made dressing bursted with flavor as well! I also had a Thai tea for the first time and it was refreshing!! The inside of the restaurant is a cozy home feeling! I've eaten here several times...these last three months. The service needs to be improved...you have to ask for everything...there is no thinking ahead from the staff. For example, the food server never comes by to check on you to see how things are going, no filling up the water glass when it's low. You have to raise your hand to call the server over. Now I know this might be a cultural thing...but your restaurant is not overseas, one needs to adjust to the culture of your customers. Here in the states, after the food has been placed...several minutes may go by and most customers expect a visit and asked, how are things going, can I bring you anything. No attentiveness...that's part of the tip...I'm out spending money at your place...earn that extra gratuity...at home I'll do this myself...at your place, take care of me. Doesn't seem to be understood here. I ordered the ribs...my fingers get bbq sauce all over them...I need a few more napkins...do I really need to ask...as a server think. A hot wet towel, etc. The food this time was below average, uncooked vegetables, dry salmon, shrimp tasted old. I think this place is barely holding on. Rosie Thai in Covina sits in the spot formerly occupied by a sub shop a decade-plus ago. Visitors to Rosie Thai walk into a clean, intimate, even cozy vibe. If "high end divey" was a concept then the sweet family who runs RT have pioneered it! RT is a family run restaurant by a delightful middle aged Thai couple, the lady undoubtedly the "Rosie" exemplified in the establishment's name. I ordered the House Special- Rosie Chicken Pad Thai and a side of vegetable egg rolls. The egg rolls are exemplary! Glassy crackling exterior, dense peppery vegetable interior. So good I ordered, and devoured, a second round!! The Chicken Pad Thai, however, was a big letdown. Visually it looks amazing- Purple cabbage, orange carrots, creamy white stalks of bean sprouts frolic with the unctuously tempting tamarind dressed Glassy thin Thai noodles and finely minced peanuts. But in taste, my pad Thai took a rash and unwelcome detour away from "Flavor Town." The chicken itself had a distinct eggy even sulfuric taste suggestive that perhaps less than super fresh protein was used. I've been ordering Thai cuisine for over thirty years, ever since I lived in Thai Town (E. Hollywood) for two yrs after graduating from college. So I recognize properly made Pad Thai. Today's entree fell short on the demerits of its off-putting chicken, but Rosie Thai made amazing egg rolls. The service was super efficient, the restroom was clean AND very well scented/appointed. Who would think a Thai restaurant's restroom would smell like baby powder??! For nailing its appetizer round but stubbing its toe on the all important entree course, I award Rosie Thai three stars. read more

Orders are wrong or don't get back to the cook(s) & they don't appear bothered by the mishaps. Definitely a small hole in the wall Thai restaurant, but so worth it. Their food is super cheap but the quality is delicious! My family came here for dinner, but they also have some lunch deals. One of the best Thai places I've had nearby me. For some reason a bunch of really good places I've stumbled across are way out near Mira Loma. This place, is less than 10 minutes from my house. Have brought a few people here and generally I order the Pad Kee Mao with ground chicken. So friggin good. I can inhale the entire thing. Several others have ordered their Signature Pad Thai. Normally I don't like Pad Thai because I generally don't go for sour palate but whatever they do here with it, I love it! Observation, they used chicken breast for their sliced chicken, but they do not overcook it like may other places. Pork doesn't really have coloration so likely their meats have no soy marinade if you're trying to eat a bit more clean...? I once ordered a large thai ice coffee and it legit came in one of those giant mom and pop burger shop cups.... like 40 oz... for $5. It wasn't the best I've had but it was pretty good and amazing for the price! The owner is super nice, I remember when I asked about Thai spice levels over the phone, he got really excited and I had to slow him down as I can eat some spice, but not thai level spice! The low medium Thai level spice ended up coming with quite a bit of thai chilis. Was perfect for me! Seems to still only be takeout only as the front is kinda half blocked off. read more

This tiny family run business shares a parking lot with a hardware store. Even though the parking lot is small, I've never had trouble finding parking. The adults are in the kitchen cooking. Kids answer the phone and serve the food. Taste and presentation on all the dishes is fantastic. I love the fish curry, which consists of a pan fried chunk of salmon meat, drenched in a yellow curry sauce and vegetables. Pair this with some pad thai noodles or crab fried rice. Fantastic food. My first experience with Thai food was with Rosie's in the '90s as a kid. We had gone a few times throughout the years but other restaurants opened closer to home so we stuck with those. Last week my family spontaneously decided to try Rosie's out and we have zero regrets. My mom is allergic to seafood so we called to head to make sure it was fine, and the new owners made sure to accommodate her allergy. In many restaurants it's a hard thing to do but they managed it exceptionally well. The food was 10 out of 10. Perfect portions, great prices. I used to love this place in high school. Now the quality is getting a little poor. My chicken satay used to look so yummy and yellow full of tumeric and now they are just plain blobs. I constantly come to Rosie Thai and order the same things, not because they have a small menu (because they have quite the impressive amount of options to chose from) but because I love these dishes so much: yellow tofu vegan curry with white rice, pad kee Mao with tofu no egg vegan style. The new owners are wonderful. All family run just like before, the regular owners moved back to Thailand and their extended family have taken the reigns. The restaurant is perfect for dine in as it's always quiet and tranquil and clean inside. The family that works there is always kind, amiable and they can make almost anything vegan off the menu for me which I appreciate.
