If I could give it zeros stars I would. Took our server over 20 minutes between each return. And didn't come for at least 30 minutes before last call so after we ordered over 60$ worth of food (over 30 ago) we had no drinks not even water to wash it down. The bartender with black and bright blue hair was surprisingly rude. She told me she needed my credit card just to clean off a table, which I've never heard of before. When we asked for takeout boxes, we were told they "don't have any," followed by, "I guess I can go look," which felt dismissive. Super fun place to go! We had a work party, we rented 2 bays. Ordered a ton of apps, they were all pretty good, but those cheese fries were the biggest hit. As someone who has never picked up a golf club in my life, I had way more fun than I thought I would have. I was warm, comfortable on the couches, and overall had a great time. Our server was quick. Drinks and food came out fast. There was no issue in starting separate tabs amongst our party. I don't know about other parties but ours did not get an explanation of how things worked or how the game was played. We had someone from our friend group basically set everyone up on the computer and teach us how to play. Maybe it because our host was busy taking drink orders. I would have still liked an officially explanation when he was done though because I didn't really understand how the game went or which golf clubs to use until about five shots in. Came on a Saturday night after shopping around at Great Lakes crossing, pro tip; as you are walking around check in prior too especially if you are on a prime weekend time, basically as soon as it hit 4pm it jumped from 30 minutes to 2 hours. We ended up checking in and finished up at the mall until we were closer to the time. The staff was awesome and answered all of our questions professional and enthusiastic. We even had time to get a drink when we got there. Playing top golf was super fun for a group and it's nice that it's just a time limit keeps things moving and everyone gets a good experience at teeing. I absolutely loved this and would come back, but not just for the golf the food! Had a fun time at Top Golf! I first came here at another location in the DC area and was excited to discover there was another one here in MI. I thought I didn't like golf until I tried Top Golf. You get to hit the ball as hard as you can into one of the targets over and over again while enjoying tasty drinks/snacks and fresh air! Our server was friendly and very helpful in explaining how it all worked since this was my husband's first time at Top Golf. While we were semi-outdoors, we had the ability to control the thermostat options for our table for heating. The atmosphere was upbeat and lively. We ended up staying about an hour and got to play a few rounds of their classic game, though they did have an Angry Birds version available as well. I left a message for my call to be returned, explaining that I am a repeat customer, and I waited two days with no return call. I called again today 10-19-24 and I followed the prompts and have been on hold over 15 minutes with no human answering. Finally, when the human finally answered the phone, there was no apology for not responding, or the wait on hold. All I heard was that its busy here right now. Even when questioning why an apology wasn't offered, she seemed hesitant to offer one. I spent a lot of money with this venue 2 years ago for a previous office party, and I am not willing to waste my time and money with this level of customer service. If I treated my customers this way, I would have no business to schedule a party for. I have to coordinate a dinner, top golf, and a limo service for this event and I need to make a reservation sooner than 14 days in advance to know I have a secure reservation before confirming the other reservations. Due to the risk of the venue being full when calling 14 days in advance, I cant arrange an event in this way, and the lack of easily being able to speak to a human easily, makes it even harder. read more

We came in the winter time and it was still really fun despite the cold (however the points get a little off due to the snow) Service: The service was okay! Slowest service I've ever experienced. The staff made no effort to be apologetic of Joe long everything took. It took almost an hour just to get a simple wrap sandwich, which I had to ask several times to get checked on. On top of it, my group was told it would be a 2 hour wait to get a bay, the wait ended up being 3 hours, and we finally were offered a bay as the price went up. After talking to a manager at how bad his service was, he was not apologetic, nor did any effort to correct they disregard for how bad of an experience we had. We made a free reservation one week in advance. 5 minutes before our tee time, 2 people in our group said they were stuck on I-75 due to traffic. Then, when we asked someone if there was a way to change the score (because someone took a turn under someone else's name) we were told no, there wasn't a way, but we could start the game over at any point by clicking "End Game". I do like that you can stop at any time, and I do like that you can switch players whenever so you don't have to go in a particular order, however, my husband was easily able to fix the scores on his own. It's just annoying that we were told we couldn't do it and they it wasn't explained that you must change the player before recalling a ball. (Again, it totally makes sense as to why you need to do this but it wasn't drilled into our heads and a heads up would have been nice). We met our regular monthly lunch bunch here at Top Golf, not to play golf but to eat lunch! Someone in the group had made the suggestion that if anyone wanted to use the driving range before or after lunch; we're not really into golf but we thought others might like that option. Six of us showed up, minus the person who suggested this location who had something else come up. No one actually golfed. I had expected a typical sports bar environment with lots of TV screens showing a variety of sports activities, loud music making it difficult to talk, lots of activity and conversations, and some of the usual bar or pub food consisting of burgers, fries, sandwiches, pizzas, and a variety of beer, wine, specialty cocktails, and the like. It does have all the TV screens and loud music, though it didn't drown out our conversation like some do! Given that it is all built around a driving range, which we did not use, the restaurant itself has a varied menu with something for everyone. And if you ARE a golfer, they have boxes or suites where your group can swing your clubs at the driving range and order your food there, too. What impressed me the most though was the food. You can choose healthy or not so much, they've got you covered. And on weekends they offer breakfast until 2pm! My wife chose the Healthy Start Breakfast Sandwich that came with a side Fresh Fruit Cup that was quite good. I ordered the Turkey Avocado Wrap that came with Fries or Tater Tots (I picked Tots), a slightly spicy sauce and a Pickle Spear that was very tasty and filling; this for someone who would love to get a mega burger or some pizza normally! I would order that again. I wasn't quick enough to photo document everything our friends ordered but one ordered the same thing as my wife and I did see a Flatbread Pizza, a Texas Brisket Hash Skillet, and a Chicken & Waffles. Service by Sara Sie was excellent! She didn't make us feel rushed as we waited for everyone to arrive, chat briefly, and finally place our orders. She also checked back enough to see if we needed anything else or refills but nowhere near enough to be annoying. She even asked as we were winding down if she should ring us all up or if we wanted to sit and chat a while; no pressure! Overall, I must say that even if you don't like to hit some golf balls, you should check out this modern looking and feeling establishment and try something different from their great menu. We've been to several Topgolf locations so I have some basis for comparison. We always have a good time when we go, but on this outing our good time was based more on the company we were with than our Topgolf experience. Which is a shame considering we drove an hour to get there and laid down some serious entertainment budget money to play, eat and drink there. First of all, we had trouble with the online nationwide reservation system. We thought we had a reservation but we didn't - at least not for the day and time we showed up. After the fact, we've looked at other reviews and see this is a common problem (also apologetically confirmed by staff) so it seems that someone at the appropriate level still needs to work on improvements. But, the staff at the check-in counter couldn't have been more gracious and luckily the wait time was short so we got right in anyway. The hostess that showed us to our bay seemed disinterested in hospitality and the server we got was pretty self-absorbed. But in these post-Covid days of staff shortages, maybe this is what you get? After our initial drink order, we had to hunt our server down any time we wanted to order something else. We even made one trip to the bar ourselves. Our food arrived without cutlery or napkins. He was gone before we noticed so we treated it like finger food (yes, if you noticed greasy clubs the last time you played, you probably got our bay! LOL) When we finally found him and asked for napkins he brought us two - there were three of us eating and playing. None of these issues were in and of themselves a reason not to visit again, but all together, they certainly lessen our enthusiasm for driving to Auburn Hills to show our out of town guests a good time. read more

I've been to Topgolf in California & now Michigan. They're basically exactly the same ...so if you haven't been, MAKE A RESERVATION!!! Otherwise your wait can be 3+ hours. You can make an appointment 7 days out on their website. Also, leave ample time for parking. When I visited the one California, the parking was ATROCIOUS. This location has a MASSIVE parking lot but there still wasn't enough parking until they opened the overflow lot across the street. Otherwise, Topgolf is an awesome experience. Sometimes the service leaves more to be desired but I think the servers are managing SO many bays that it's somewhat understandable. I am really impressed that the heating works AMAZINGLY here. Celebrated my birthday here with my family (including 2 kiddos) and we had a blast! My sister made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon and they were able to accommodate us on the lower bays. I've been to other Top Golf locations before, and this one seemed a little nicer. For example, we ordered mimosas and the flutes were real glass not plastic. Our server was great, but adults didn't order food so I can't comment on that. We were only planning on staying an hour but extended it an extra half hour since we were having so much fun. This was the worst experience ever. Our server brought us the wrong drinks, realized at the table that it wasn't ours then proceeded to say "oh next time i'll make sure to pay attention and they're your correct drinks." Didn't even offer to fix it/remake them. Then they never came back to check on us or even offer to bring us water since our drinks were alcoholic. We had 1.5 hours of golf time and when it came down to the last 20 mins our food that we had ordered at the beginning was still no where to be seen. We had a birthday celebration at this Top Golf in Auburn Hills, just adjacent to Great Lakes Crossing Outlets, and we had a blast. We reserved three bays for a total of two hours, and here we could play golf as much as we wanted within the reserved time limit. Think of it as a luxury driving range. During the play time, we were also chowing down on some delicious Fajita and Mexican food, and Top Golf provided the chafing dishes. Staff were super friendly and super professional, and they were making multiple rounds, asking people what they would want for drinks, and they would bring them to you. Everybody had a blast. And we were so lucky that we got the three bays at the end of the row, so our party felt very private and secluded from the rest of the people. This Top Golf seemed to encompass a bunch of functions, such as a souvenir shop, a cafeteria, lounging rooms, and many more. Again, this location is perfect for birthday celebrations, or if you just want to hang out with your friends. The parking seemed to get busy real quick though, especially on the weekend, but just keep in mind that there's usually a lot more parking spaces towards the back. came to michigan for the weekend with my best friend, boyfriend, and myself to visit family. my boyfriend and i being from IL and my best friend being from IA. 2 other guys we were with are from michigan. our server tony come over around 30 minutes later after the manager had to come and greet us and told us tony would be our server. sounded like she couldn't handle a slight rush and couldn't greet her tables in a timely manner. when she finally came over we wanted to order drinks she got our order and asked for IDs and said we're good and walked away. shortly after she had the manager come over again because she was apparently unsure of our IDs. we've been having issues all weekend over our out of state IDs even with cops out here and decided we didn't want to deal with it all over again at top golf. the two from michigan showed there's thinking they wouldn't have to deal with the hassle. the manager looked at them both and stated that the blue background was different so one of the guys showed his CDL because you can't fake those. he then still took both of the IDs and left for 10 minutes. one of the guys we were with decided to get up and go get the IDs and tell them forget it and that he wants his ID back especially having shown another form of an ID. he got it back and the rest of the time we were there our server tony would show up every 20 minutes and look at us and walk away. didn't offer water or anything. she then at the end gave us a bill and hearted the tip and wrote a note that gratuity wasn't included. i work in the service industry and would never even think to write that gratuity isn't included as if we couldn't read a tab correctly. read more

They let you come in to check in and use the restroom but they want your party to wait outside so people are congregating at the entrance. They ping you with a text when your party is ready. 2.
