Two complaints. Maybe because it's winter in MI, but the machines failed recognize 1 out of 6 balls that were in the score area. I fail to see the need for the cylinder in the beer pitcher to keep the beer cold when it's 21 degrees outside. Obviously they are screwing their customers by incorporating this gizmo, any idiot can see this. So for $23 you get 4 12 OZ beers. Don't play games with my beer! The suggested $13 tip for an overpriced pitcher of beer and 75 minutes of golf seemed excessive. I'm not tipping for broken machines. Might go back but not for $50 an hour, and I'll have my beer someplace else.. read more

I've been here multiple times for my birthday and special events. I love the easy online booking, and the food is great. Service is decent sometimes. I've had a few really good girls, and a few not so good. My last server stood around after I requested left-handed golf clubs for my friends, and came to our table maybe 4-5 times but did not seem interested. Overall, I'll definitely go back! Overall good experience. Paid $10 for a reservation a week ahead of time, but still had to wait 30-40 minutes for a bay and did not get the $10 back. Food was excellent, drinks and service were acceptable. Still had a great time and fun atmosphere. Was a bit pricey. read more

Top Golf is always a great time. This location is beautiful. 3 floors, bars and restaurants, plenty of TV's and a roof top terrance with fire pits. Played a few rounds/hours with friends, great time. The food and drinks were good as well. They charge per bay (about 6 players per bay) and per hour and can be pretty busy sometimes, so keep that in mind. Only somewhat con is how far it is from Detroit. Looking to have some fun? Definitely give Top Golf a swing. read more

Very disappointing experience, especially when paying the high price on a Friday evening. We had been assigned the second to last bay. I asked about switching after the long walk to the far end and then back to the check in desk. I had to walk past many open bays, but was told we couldn't be switched due to reservations at all different times. Still don't understand why we couldn't be switched. The desk staff asked if I wanted to ask the manager about it. The manager came and gave the same response which still didn't make sense, with the multitude of open bays at 5:45, even with incoming reservations (why not switch a bay)?? The staff seemed like they really didn't care at all and didn't want to put any effort into doing anything to help. And then I observed a staff member helping the next bay over get checked in at their bay. We never received any assistance at all with that process. We wasted a good portion of our time, first trying to get our bay switched and then trying to get set up on the computer at our bay ourselves. The activity itself was fun, just wish the staff cared about the customer experience. read more

The fish tacos were contaminated because my husband threw up later in the middle of the night and his friend who also ordered fish tacos there that evening also felt sick afterward. Topgolf is a great idea and fun way to spend a few hours but the execution here is terrible. We tried calling for weeks as well as online to make a reservation. Turns out you can only make a reservation 1 week in advance. Why?!?!? Next, turns out the reservation isn't even a guarantee a bay will be ready for you when you arrive, you just get bumped to the front of the list. The $50 they require of you to make the reservation also does not go toward your play, it literally is $50 to make a reservation. That is so wrong in so many ways. Our actual golf experience was fun. We were in the lower level and I think it is easier if you're not a golfer to be on the middle or upper level. Our bay host and server were extremely nice and explained everything to us. We enjoyed the actual golfing but for the price and the hassle to get in there, not worth it. After 10pm, the place becomes like a night club. They turned the music up super loud and it was and hip hop. My father in law was super annoyed by this considering when we looked around the crowd was mostly middle aged couples and families. As I'm sure the 18-23 crowd cant afford the prices here! We did not have any food as we could only get a 9pm reservation so we had dinner elsewhere but we did order one round of drinks. Myself and my mother in law had a margarita that was awful, whatever mix they use is extremely tart. I took 2 sips and didnt drink the rest. I may ot may not be back. If I came, maybe a weekday during the daytime would be better but sadly 9pm was the only reservation we could get. read more

Their pricing is an elaborate scam. It's listed as $49 per hour. This is expensive, but I was willing to split it up with 6 people and it seemed like a fun idea. Then I realized that they charge you a $5 per player for a new member fee. Then a $15 per reservation fee. So it's just a bait and switch. It's not $49; it's actually $94. I did not go, but I imagine if you show up they find another couple ways to scam you out of money. Don't go here. Scam artists like this should not be rewarded. read more

The golfing is fun. Love it. Just don't order steak nachos. Had them previously and were awesome. Went there yesterday, Sunday September 10,2023, and the meat in those nachos was disgusting. For each of the 3 nachos I tried to eat I had to spit out 2-3 pieces of the nasty steak. They've gone super cheap on the quality of the meat. From now on I'll be eating before I go there. Pretty good! Came here on a Sunday night. Reserved online via VIP bay. Which included 2 hour of game play, a bucket of waters, plate of pretzel and meat/cheese, and cookies to top it off. It was definitely worth it. As you walk up the stairs, it opens up into the shop and the vip line is on the left. The host was standing there with a sign that said welcome "(last name)" party. He took us to our bay, which was right in front as you walked onto the veranda. Everything was simple. He went over the do's and dont's. And we were on our way. If you are wondering if it is cold, it definitely was not. Their oVerhead heater is supperrr powerful. Had to ask them to turn it down a bit. Our cheese was melting haha! when going for a night out with my son and his friends I was excited that they wanted to golf. I could have never imagined the horrid service and downright disrespectful behavior towards me and my kid. we waited over an hour longer than the wait time had stated and the staff had no remorse in attempting to solve the problem. The front desk staff was uncooperative and obscenely rude to my son. our server (when we finally made it to our bay) was very rude and brought other groups drinks to our table. food that the group ordered took 45 minutes for the most laughable chicken tenders I have ever seen. alongside that when I cashed out early and went to put my driver in the car (it wasn't being used) the server asked my son if I was coming back. Then QUESTIONED my son further about if I was actually coming back. This was absolutely he most laughable and disgusting service I have ever seen in a customer service industry to date. if you want to golf and have a fun time with family or friends, DO NOT go to top golf in Auburn Hills MI. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Seriously, if you're looking for a great time out with friends this is the place! We've come two Saturday mornings now, and we absolutely love it! I think that the drinks and food are reasonably priced, they even have mimosa pitchers! Depending on the time of day, the price per bag varies. We've gone at 10am both times and it's fantastic! We've walked right in and I believe the cost is $25 an hour. Split between 4 people and you've got your price way down. Renee and Toby have been the absolute best bay hosts! Super quick service, great suggestions, and just all around amazing people! Overall we've had the best times at top golf. We are always looking forward to our next trip here! A great location for this Top Golf. Just off the Joslyn Rd. exit from I-75. This is a great place for both the golfer and non-golfer to enjoy either a business team-building event, Birthday party, family reunion,etc. Besides the golf activity, the food ( burgers, sandwiches, flat bread pizza, various apps) is quite good. The bar service is top notch with a very good selection of draft, bottle or canned beer as well as full liquor options. Whether your group is from 6-20+ you really can't go wrong here. Topgolf is a great place for a super fun night out with friends. I was impressed that even in blustery Michigan weather the heaters made it comfortable. Definitely dress for the cold if you go during winter months. No socks made my toes icicles by the end of the night! We had several appetizers and drinks which were all great, albeit expensive! We've been coming here for years. It's been mediocre experience every time, BUT it's a unique experience. This time was really had me rethinking whether to visit again. Food took took 1.5 hours, the manager had to come by and give 15 min of free time and took off the food. Our play time had run out and we were still waiting for the food. Heckin inconvenient. The reservation process is the most nonsensical and inconvenient process I've ever seen. They only allow 6 people per bay. So they force you to buy more bays even if you want to be closer to one another and you don't mind taking turns or waiting or simply can't spend that much $$ it doesn't matter. If you're getting 3 bays or more you can't reserve online. You have to call. Inconvenient because they don't always pick up the phone. If you get more than one bay they call it an "event" and charge you a $200 food credit. We were going to spend that much anyways but now have the fun task of figuring out how much everyone has spent individually and have no idea how to divide it up. Who wants to do that while they're trying to drink and have fun? Also they charged me more than the hourly rate per bay because it was an event. It's not an event! I got 2 bays for 2 hours. Their website says 45/hr for that time. With the food credit that's $380. I was charged over $550. You also cannot cancel your reservation because you forfeit the deposit. It's just a big money making scheme and I know a few of us that won't be going back. read more

I'm so sad to see such horrible ratings for Topgolf! I love Topgolf, it's so much fun and it is great for a first date. I suck at golf and I don't even play golf, yet I have soo much fun here and am pretty good! Unfortunately, this Topgolf is not as good as the Miami, FL Topgolf. The food here is not good, the drinks aren't as good either. Also, if you show up at 11:20, it will only let you play until 12. When I went to the Miami Topgolf, I got there at 11:30 and we purchased a full hour and were able to play it. This could be due to this being a new location and they have to figure things out, but that would be great especially in the summer. Overall, the gameplay is the same as in other locations. My favorite bays would probably be on the second floor. They have some "private" bays, which I always love having one of those. They are like smaller individual bays instead of just being totally open they are more closed off from others. Once again, this is a great place to go out with friends or go on a date. It's a lot of fun and I know that some people think that it's pricey, but it's worth it! read more
