My family and I celebrated a birthday party at this location, and we all had a great time! The space was clean, comfortable and because it is mostly outdoor, they had enough overhead heaters that'll keep everyone warm as it gets windy towards the night. They had enough employees supervising each floor so it was never a problem to place food orders, or if you just had a question in general. We brought a birthday cake and they provided the plates, flatware, and cleaned up afterwards too. We spent close to 3 hours here with lots of food and beer for 15 people, and the bill was a little under $700. read more

This was my first time checking out the TopGolf in Burlingame. I was surprised that it wasn't as crowded compared to the San Jose location. It was like people didn't know this new location existed even though it opened up over half a year ago. I saw that there was no waitlist and when I got here with my friends around noon, we had no issues getting a bay. I liked that our bay had some lounge sofas and there was a heater perfectly positioned above us that kept not only us warm but the seats warm as well. The only annoying thing was the breezy conditions. There was a random napkin that kept flying around and at one point, we were blasted by some strong winds. I did enjoy seeing the beautiful view of the bay (water) in the background. The practice mode game was my favorite since I could keep swinging away and not have to wait for the long animations to finish after each turn like in sonic the hedgehog or the new fantastic 4 game. I enjoyed trying to do my Happy Gilmore power swings where tried to launch the ball as far as I could. I thought using The Sure Thing golf club gave incredible results. The ball either went really far or I looked like an idiot and missed the ball completely. Our bay host was really nice and friendly. I felt like our food and drink orders were quick to arrive which was probably due to this location being less crowded. My favorite was the chicken wings trio. We got the lemon pepper, garlic parmesan and Asian sesame flavors. The wings were nicely seasoned and I really liked the sweetness of the Asian sesame. I wasn't sure what to think about the injectable donut holes. They tasted fine but I would have preferred the filling to be inside the donut holes instead of injecting them myself. Maybe I'm getting old but I didn't see the fun in it. I was really impressed with how clean the building was from top to bottom. Even the restrooms were really clean. There were 3 floors and each floor had its own bar and big screen TVs. There was definitely no lack of places to sit. The bottom floor had a shop, foosball tables, shuffleboard table and a couple of virtual gaming simulators. These simulators wasn't all virtual since I saw people playing soccer with a real soccer ball. Everything else in the game was virtual. The parking lot was massive. There were a lot of EV parking spots near the front. However, if you drove a non EV car, there weren't that many parking spaces near the front so you might need to park a little farther. Comparing the TopGolf at Burlingame to San Jose, I liked the Burlingame location a lot more. It was less crowded which meant getting a bay easier and quicker service. One noticeable difference was that there was a screen on top of the ball machine to track your game progress which they did not have in San Jose. The only negative might be how you viewed the breeze which would always be here since the location was right next to the bay (water). You either liked it or didn't like it. read more

I was the 2nd guest at Burlingame! So excited to see this open, had lunch. No liquor. Farmhouse pizza was superb and fresh ingredients. Excellent, would order again. The golfing experience is what you'd expect from any location. Lots of bays, good location, it's new so that's nice. I do wish they had booths instead of the high tops.... Service, food and drinks, yikes. They should have done a soft opening. To pay this much for food that comes out cold and after 40 mins of being here just plain sucks. The drinks were rough, as in they took 35 mins to get and they took another 10 mins to let us know they didn't have the only sparkling wine served by the glass. We attempted to order 2 other drinks and they were also out of that. Overall, such a bummer to spend this money and get subpar service, poor drinks and eh food. Isn't that the point of a soft opening? To work out the kinks? To add insult to injury, we got charged for items we never received and had to explain to our server, better yet, remind her; we never got said items... Brought the family to this TopGolf location and was super disappointed that they stuck us in the worst bay at the facility. Views are blocked, you can't even get close to hitting most of the holes on the course and it's so far removed that getting good service was not possible. It's like they forgot all about us. The staff refused to move us... even though there were many empty bays on our floor. Menu items weren't available and the experience was not good. I have come to this location multiple times and have never had an issue like tonight. When we first arrived, the server was already giving off a negative vibe (not even sure what his name was because he didn't introduce himself). We were not offered water or asked if we wanted to order food. We ordered on the mobile app and then few minutes later water came. We had 15 min of game play left and the server asked if we wanted to extend time. I informed him we were still waiting on food. He went to go check the kitchen, came back 5+ min later with the tray and said "sorry, I didn't know it was sitting in the kitchen the whole time"... I had to be the one to ask if we could get a comp rather than him offering one for the inconvenience. No utensils or napkins provided, we had to walk over to the counter and grab our own. Server came back saying we could comp 15 min free play which was fine but then we felt rushed to eat our food of course because it was sitting in the kitchen was already cold. Also, when we arrived the floor was filthy with food and the menu sticky- did not feel like the bay was sanitized at all. I booked a "Fan Fave" bay on the second or third floor (middle tier), but when we arrived, we were given a bay on the first floor, off to the far right. I was told bay placement is subject to availability, so while that was a letdown, I understood. What I didn't expect was for the $150 food and beverage credit--clearly included in the package I paid for--to be ignored. Staff didn't apply it, didn't offer an explanation, and didn't resolve it when asked. It felt like a bait-and-switch. On top of that, when we got to our bay, it wasn't even turned on. We waited around for 15 minutes before anyone got it working. When we asked for a time extension to make up for the delay, the staff flat-out refused. The whole experience felt rushed and disorganized. It seems like they're so busy they no longer care about providing good service or honoring what customers actually paid for. I'm extremely disappointed with our experience at Topgolf. We made an online reservation in advance and paid the required $30 deposit. When we arrived, we also joined the waitlist and were actually seated in a bay earlier than our reserved time. Despite this, we were told we could not get our $30 deposit refunded or applied appropriately. We spoke with three different managers, and none of them were willing to resolve the issue. There was no flexibility, no accommodation, and no attempt to make things right -- not even a small food or drink comp after we had already spent a significant amount of money on golfing, food, and drinks. The lack of customer service was extremely disappointing. We were excited to spend the evening there and ended up spending quite a bit, yet felt completely dismissed. It's frustrating that such a small amount couldn't be addressed, especially when we supported the business with a large overall bill. This location has a gorgeous view of the bay, nice catering of snacks. However, the staff at the bar is not the best, they could benefit from some training. Here's what happened to me. I ordered some dips with my beer. The beer arrived one minute later, the dips arrived 45 minutes later. I was sipping beer for 30 minutes, had a protein bar, and ended up cancelling my dips. Topgolf is one of my family's favorite entertainment venues! We've hosted multiple events here, including a celebration in Las Vegas and a birthday party in San Jose, and each time, the experience was excellent from start to finish. From planning all the way to the end of each party, everything was well-organized, fun, and stress-free. We've also visited locations across the country, including Tampa, Las Vegas, the LA area, and San Jose. When San Jose first opened, we were so excited that we booked a bay on the very first day. And now, with the new Burlingame location, it's even better since it's a much shorter drive for us. The venue itself is always a blast--great atmosphere, fun games for all skill levels, and solid food and drinks. The tracking technology makes it easy to enjoy whether you're a beginner or a seasoned golfer. My kids especially love playing the Sonic the Hedgehog game--it's their absolute favorite! However, customer service can be hit or miss (kind of like my swing, haha). I visited twice in one week, and both experiences were very different. Tuesday Visit - Birthday Celebration I went on a Tuesday to celebrate my birthday and took advantage of Topgolf's half-off gameplay deal. The venue wasn't busy at 11 AM, so we were expecting a smooth experience, but unfortunately, our Bay Hostess was barely around. She took our order, but after our starters arrived, she didn't come back. We ordered the Cheesy Macaroni Bites and Signature Nachos. The Mac Bites took a full hour to arrive. Our drinks sat empty for 90 minutes, and she was nowhere to be found. The bar was literally right behind us, but we didn't bother asking for a refill. She was super friendly, but it seemed like she needed more guidance or training. We also had a left-handed friend joining us a little later. The Bay Hostess said she would bring lefty clubs when he arrived, but since she wasn't around, he was just hanging around and ended up trying the right-handed clubs instead. It would have been a much better idea to bring them at the start so he could start playing right away. Sunday Visit - Son's Birthday Celebration A few days later, we went back to celebrate my son's birthday. This time, the experience was much better! Darren, our Bay Host, was fantastic--super attentive and enthusiastic. He explained everything at the start, took our orders (which arrived quickly), and checked in with us multiple times. This time, we ordered Cheesy Macaroni Bites, Signature Nachos with steak, Topgolf Wings, and a Pepperoni Flatbread. The food was on par this time, arriving hot and tasting great. When our drinks ran empty, Darren asked if we wanted refills, and once we said yes, he took care of it right away. We appreciated that he was proactive. Midway through, he went on break, and the person who was supposed to cover for him was absent, but it didn't impact our fun too much. Once Darren returned, everything was back on track. Final Thoughts Despite some inconsistencies in service, Topgolf continues to be a favorite for my family. The games, the food, and the overall experience make it worth coming back. Half-off Tuesdays are a great deal, but I just hope they work on making service more consistent across visits. read more

I am writing a follow-up because it has now been quite some time since I posted my original review, and I am extremely disappointed that management still has not responded to any of the concerns I raised. I received an email on 10/17/25 from their main office stating that I would receive a response within 48 hours but no one ever followed up. I shared my experience in detail with the hope that management would take the situation seriously, address the behavior, and prevent other families from going through something similar. Unfortunately, the complete lack of acknowledgment, response, or accountability from the management team has only added to the disappointment. I am once again requesting that management review this situation and respond appropriately. We waited more than an hour passed our wait time which we did not like. The food is just ok and they forgot the sauce that came with are charcuterie. I may give them another try in the future. Reserved for a party of 8 about a month in advance. Checking in was easy and our bay was at the top floor. There's 8 people per bay and 6 players. The seating was not comfy. Theres 5 chairs at a high table for 8 people. So 3 people are forced to stand. Our party of 8 turned into 24 and we were accommodated, but there still wasn't enough seating. I recall there being couches at other Top Golf locations. This area seemed smaller. The food was so good-- the sliders, burger, katsu sliders, nachos and ice cream. The only down side is that it took probably 30 minutes for our food to come and we had to keep asking for our food and drinks. I like how there's a bar at every floor so alcohol is very accessible. I'd probs come back if I had a smaller group of people. read more
