First off, the place is huge, well kept, and clean. Service was great and the food was good too. Just know that if you're late to your tee time, they start the clock at your reservation time. Also, each player needs to enter their name in the game computer at the golf bay. Advice is to get there early. Two hiccups: one of the heat lamps was not working, and a cold breeze was unwelcome. Second was the price per hour. So I talked with the manager Dexter and we resolved the issue, with a nice outcome. With that said, I just want to let you know that if you want the price per hour before noon, you have to start your game before 11:15 am. This was my first time at a Top Golf ever, and I was pretty impressed with the Venue. The night started out great. I checked in for the two Bays I reserved for my husband's birthday. My husband and his friend were finishing up a round of drinks at the bar, enjoying themselves, so I asked the check in staff if our 2 hour Bay/play limit starts right at reservation time or is there flexibility determined by when we click "start". I was told the latter. Since we were told the latter, we arrived at our Bay around 15 minutes later. When we finally got to our Bay, we took us a while to figure out the sign I system, and was surprised it is $5/person to pay, which is a price ON TOP of the reservations, which I guess is what it is. All in all we couldn't formally start playing until 45 minutes into our initial reservation. Long story short, they stopped our playing time right at when our timed reservation, not how long we were at the Bay. This was obviously staffs miscommunication but quite disappointed that I was told something else, so I basically paid for 2 hours for 1 hour of play. I even rushed to pick up my 3 year old son back to the venue because I thought we still had 30 minutes to play. My son was so disappointed to say the least. Not to mention service was so slow. The food was your typical bar food. Not great but not bad. We had two pitchers of beer for the 11 of us, and when we asked to order another one, they said no because there's a limit for one drink per an hour? They also told us a pitcher only serves 3 people ? They finally realized the math didn't add up so eventually allowed us to order a 3rd, but by the time the third pitcher arrived, they were kicking us out of our Bay already! The clean up crew was rushing so hard to clear our table that they almost threw away a nicely un-drank shot of tequila with a lime still attached to it until someone from our party told her to stop! The manager came out and simply told us sorry that's how it is , sorry there was a miscommunication here's a $30 coupon. I understand there were other parties waiting, but I was hoping we would be honored the additional 30 minutes that we were misinformed about. Maybe because I was a Top Golf Newbie ? But I really wish there was clearer disclosure of how things work. During play had an interruption with a sweepstakes entry, a different server trying to get me out of the bay and then the manager. Just hitting balls within my allotted time, minding my own business concentrating on the swing. So the different server , not the one who took the order comes up asking if I want to extend. My time isn't up, I can see on the monitor when it stops or if a ball doesn't shoot out. Again interrupting play time AGAIN. Now my foods out, a manager comes up "CAL"hat guy. Again do you want to extend. Couldn't believe it. The game will stop when the game is over. But here they are interrupting me again. Was like they were trying to boot me, was a single in the bay for a 35 minute play time. Wanted to relax and swing. NOPE, not according to them. Your time is approaching need you out or spend money and extend. Said to the manager, "CAL" hat guy, this is the worst service/ experience he says, yea I agree, want to check out.. WOW!!!!! Our first time here was not the best. However we decided to give topgolf another try and we are so glad we did! Our server Felipe was awesome! So attentive, greeted us within seconds of arriving! The food and drinks were also great. This time we also got a bay with a booth instead of a table which we found a lot more comfortable. Food takes forever - Placed our drink and food order right as we got to our bay and the food didn't get there until 45 minutes later. Most of our food was just simple bar food like nachos, chips and guac, fries, tots and wings. Pretty simple food that shouldn't take long to make. Placed our food second order of wings, pretzel bites and hummus dip and that took over an hour and we didn't get that until 20 minutes until our reservation was almost over. The staff there were pretty friendly and looked like they were doing their best but the kitchen is just extremely slow. Our waitress kept forgetting napkins so I just grabbed some at the bar but not a big deal. The bays and the golf experience were pretty fun and like other top golf places. They also have other activity for younger kids to play at the ground level but not too much. The receipt also suggest to tip 30% which I chuckled at after reading cause there is absolutely no way I am tipping 30% on extremely slow food service. read more

While our server was nice and helpful it was really disappointing to hear over and over again "oh sorry we are out of that" As a brunch event we were expecting creamer with our coffee but not on that Sunday morning. Expresso martini? no sorry. Red wine? Nope. What about orange juice? Out of that too. Clearly the management staff needs to beef up the ordering as I'm sure this place with stay busy regardless of their lack of liquid inventory. As far as the food: it came out really slow but thankfully we had no issues there. It was good, we just had to be patient. On the other hand the bathrooms were unkept so for me that is a big deal. Bathrooms lacked seat covers and paper towels so that should be addressed every day and probable hourly with the number of bodies in that place. I made a reservation two weeks ago and the staff here first couldn't find my reservation and when they finally did they put me at a bay that was a last resort because they didn't have anything available. Unfortunately, like many of the folks who reviewed Top Golf Burlingame, I too feel that that they failed to deliver on the experinece that once had in other locations in Las Vegas, San Jose, and Southern California. There instructions given to us for our party were conflicting and promises around where we would be located were not met. The manager of the kitchen did not care that they messed up the instructions to us about what we can do with the cake (Stacey). I called to speak to the manager and he refuse to take responsibilty for the incorrect instructions on what kind of cake we could bring to the event stating the error made by the cordinator was something they would not honor. When we got to the Bay itself, there was employees sitting around our bay with the cleaning fluid laying around. We asked if they could move it so we could put our stuff there and they asked us to move it ourselves. I would recommend that all parents and folks planning parties to stay as far away from this place as possible. I was planning to have multiple business events at this location but after my experience here, I am cancelling those ideas. Head back to San Jose where service is better. Dont embarass yourself with your guess by having an event here. This must be some cheap owner who bought rights to a franchise but does not know how to run it right. read more

We booked a single bay for two hours, which comfortably fit all eight of us--their max per bay. Our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was classic American fare, and the wings, burgers, and fries were all delicious. With the Costco deal and Tuesday pricing, it was totally worth it! TopGolf itself is great. I've visited many different locations and have loved the experience at every other TopGolf. However this particular location has its hefty share of operational challenges and customer service adversities. They haven't figured out how to navigate their own system. They email with confirmations and instructions on what to do at check in, but if you follow those instructions correctly, they somehow cannot find your reservation and go into no greater effort to locate the reservation. After they've navigated through their mistake and you actually get to the bay to golf, you'll find that the background is beautiful. The table and sitting area is not as comfortable as the Las Vegas location, but it's not bad. High tables and high chairs. The young host who helped us with our bay lacked personality and lacked knowledge. We ordered food as soon as we got there, and the food didn't come out until 70-80 minutes later! By this time, our event was more than half way over! When the food finally did come out, it was decent. Also, their drinks have barely any alcohol, so you're better off ordering beer. After being told that they were going to ensure we were given our full event time we paid for, after the 30-40 minutes fiasco of them misplacing our reservation, they ended up kicking us out from our bay at the normally designated time because another event was happening after. So they did not give us the time we paid for. In an effort to try to enjoy the evening we did not dispute it and just did as they advised. Later I contacted TopGolf in regards to the issues we experienced and the game time we were shorted. I had to call and write multiple times until I finally spoke with someone who cared enough to provide an option to remedy. The solution was a refund for the time we paid for and were not given. I expected a little more due to allllllll the trouble that was caused on their end, but at the end of the day, I guess it's something. I just appreciate that he didn't brush me off like all the other representatives did that I talked to prior. I would go again, maybe in a year after they've ironed out their operations end and hired better staff and not high school workers who have more interest in flirting with one another rather than serving the paying customer. Buyer beware. We went to try to play tonight, no reservation, it was a 2-hour wait. We bailed and made a reservation for the next evening. After getting home, I realized we have plans the next evening (2 hours after I made the booking), and try to adjust the time to earlier in the day. Impossible to change a reservation, can only cancel, and lose the deposit ($40). Can't get the local place on the phone, "phone hours" for corporate end at 7pm PST even though Burlingame is open until midnight. In addition to the no-changes booking policy there is a $15 booking fee and a $5 per-player "lifetime player fee" making this more expensive than it seems. After reading everything here about awful service once you get inside, I think they have quite a few wrinkles to iron out. read more

My wife surprised me with a birthday party there on 3/15. We rented 2 bays side by side. We ordered our drinks and food immediately upon signing in and walked to the 2 bays. Our first round of drinks arrived 45 mins later and came one by one. We raised empty hands in the air to do a birthday toast. We decided to order our food immediately after the drinks arrived. We figured to play it safe, especially if getting drinks was any indication of how slow the service was going to be. Food once again arrived one at a time over the span of the next hour. As our 2hrs were nearing an end we still did not recieve all of the food we ordered. Two kids didn't get their food AT ALL and when I personally complained to our host, his reply was "our kitchen is a little backed up". THIS IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. Meanwhile the staff was already clearing out our bays asking us if we needed take out boxes for the food that just arrived! We booked 2 hours and not getting our food on time is just plain unacceptable. The way they shepherd you in out of there did not make the event very memorable at all. read more

Golfing experience (specifically the technology): 3 stars. -We were chatting with the person assigned to our bay, and apparently, unlike other Top Golf locations that use sensors inside the golf balls, this location uses camera tracing technology to project where your golf ball landed/rolled. It was wildly off. We'd watch a ball hit in spot (a) and roll to spot (b), but the screen was always off for both. Hopefully this is something they can adjust for better accuracy. -Regardless, it was fun to hit some golf balls and watch airplanes land at SFO in the background. Food and Service: 5 stars. -very attentive, helpful, nice people :) -elevated bar food (it's not gourmet food, but you aren't at a gourmet restaurant). The service was SO bad; we left really disappointed. We've been looking forward to the new TopGolf for a long time since the San Jose location is a trek. And overall the new location is cool, pretty clean, and I love the new screens in front of the tees. But man, we were here for two hours and only got one of the drinks we ordered after an hour and a half. We ordered right after we got there, about 9:05PM, and said we wanted to order food in a few. The server never came back. We finally flag someone down around 10PM since nothing has come out; another server says the first server didn't write the order down correctly, so she takes our order again. Two drinks, sliders, and waters. The sliders and water came out around 10:15; they were pretty good. Still no drinks. ONE of the two drinks comes out a full 40 mins after we ordered the second time, around 10:40. Our server comes back around 10:45 to say the other drink is 'still coming' but since we only have 15 mins left we ask to cancel it. I appreciate that the server did comp the only drink we did get, but there were SO many servers, seemingly doing nothing most of the night. Why it took two hours to (not) get a four-ingredient cocktail is beyond me. We'll probably try again sometime, but it'll be a while. read more

I went there for 30 minutes to hit some balls. I decided to go for a while I was waiting for my mother-in-law who I had dropped off at a nearby clinic. We live an hour away and I wanted to do something while I was waiting for her. Plus I am trying to get back into golf. The parking was plentiful, they have tons of bays to choose from, the staff was very attentive to me, even though I would not be buying food or drink, they have clubs for anyone who doesn't have their own, the balls are in good condition, and they have multiple "games" you can play if you come with a group (or more than one person). I liked how the machine feeds you your next ball. You just have to wave your club in front of the "eye". I didn't like being on the second level. I was afraid of falling off the platform. I know that seems silly but that's just me. We are going back today with a group of 4 and we shall see how we like it after that. read more

I purchased a summer pass on Monday no wait no line we went right in. Went on Tuesday. Wait was 2 to 4 hours we left. Went again on Wednesday around noon. They only allowed us to play for 80 minutes saying it was reserved all the other times. Today at 1:30 I had to wait till about 3:15. This is ridiculous and not worth it unless you have time to waste. The Summer pass is from 8 to5 walk in only. Make it sound so easy on the first day, all the other days were a struggle. Waiting a short time is no issue but to wait hours or only get the bay for under 2 hours is a waste. I bet if I walked into purchase a bay they would say no wait. Don't waste your money. Golf is fun, but pricey. But I'm so mad they replaced their nachos! Best part used to be the OG nachos that were individually done so that every chip has all toppings. Best nachos ever. They stupidly replaced it with cheap basic nachos which is a heap of chips with a couple toppings thrown on only the top chips. No real melted cheese, sour cream, or guac. Just a few drizzles of white and green stuff. And they put corn on it. Seems like they cheaped out. The Nachos was the best part of this place. I won't be going anymore. read more

Nice venue but horrible food service. Reading the previous reviews it looks like many others have had the same issues with food service. We reserved a lane for 2 hours. About 10 minutes after we ordered our food and drinks. Our drinks came out after about 10 minutes. When we had only 45 minutes left to play (an hour later) we started wondering where our food was. We asked our host and he went to check on it. Another 10 minutes later we asked again, trying to figure out why our food has not come yet. We were told that they were busy and that we had a big order so it is taking longer and the platter that we had order takes a longer time to make and that it would be another 5 minutes for the food to get to us. This sounds like b.s. because there were at least 4 other lanes that got there after us and had gotten their food before us. We finally got our food with only 25 minutes left to play. An hour and a half after ordering. Looking at the platter we ordered which we were told was the reason it took so long: it was 6 sliders, premade pretzel bites, chips from a bag, dip, and Mac and cheese bites. Didn't look like it would take half an hour since half the platter didn't really need much cooking. No apologies at all for the food. We were offered a discount (about 13% off when we were told 20%). But they should have apologized and made it right by given us at least 30 mins more time to enjoy playing and eating. If anyone is thinking about coming here, make sure you eat before coming. Read previous low ratings and you can see that many others are seeing the same issues about the food taking forever to get to you. read more

Took my disabled Mother in law to watch us hit some balls during their morning special. She uses a walker and is unable to swing a club. They ended up charging her $20 and said she was a player. We talked to the manager explained the situation and she said she still has to pay to watch. Doesn't make sense at all but I guess $20 is $20.... Just an fyi to anybody wanting to take a disabled family member to Top Golf Burlingame. Update... Colin Director of Operations spoke with members of my party and stated they have educated their managers on common sense strategies. Hopefully this remedies the issue. We booked 3 bays next to each other on Mother's day.. 1 of of the bays did not dispense balls for over an hour causing disruption to the entire party as people were drifting from one bay to another trying to get any play time. They came over to fix it and said the belt was broken and they would compensate us. But they did nothing. The entire experience leaves a lot of be desired and would not recommend while this management remains in place. read more
