Such a great concept for someone who has never been to anything like this before. I really enjoyed my time here with some friends, and was glad to hear that they are building one closer to me, since the closest one has always been in Vegas. While I did find the prices to definitely be on the pricier side, if you split it up with friends (which the computer by you allows you to do, it makes it much more convenient and affordable. We definitely waited to come later too, which obviously made the price go higher since they have price tiers the later it gets. We only had to wait 10-15 minutes for an open spot even though the place was really crowded, and it was a Saturday night. I also was very impressed in the fact that you get your own table and server which is so convenient for getting drinks and/or ordering food. Overall, just a very cool concept, and will definitely use my membership at the future LA location when they open! read more

The food is hit or miss, this seems like the kind of place where you have to try a bunch of things to see what's good and what isn't. The nachos were good but the burger sliders were not. Grilled chicken sandwich was neutral. Food was barely warm so they really need to work on making sure food gets out when it's fresh, not 5 minutes later, all of our fries were old and we had to send them back which took like 15 minutes to get fresh ones that were actually crispy. The orange creamsicle drink is really good and I'll definitely be getting that again. It's a fun experience and a lot of fun even though I have no idea how to golf. read more

This is fun place, but we wanted a more adult playground to be honest. Teenage girls screaming and kids running around is something better left for Dave and Busters. In any case, we didn't have a problem with the $35 an hour for golf, but making us buy a membership for what would likely be our only time golfing (I hate golf) seemed ridiculous. So we decided to go downstairs and play pool. The place was not busy yet even though it was around 2pm so we grabbed a pool table, a pitcher of beer, and some grub. The nice part is that the pool was complimentary. The bad part was the youngins that followed shortly. So bad that one of the littlest tykes thought it would be fun to pick a ball up off our table as my wife was about to shoot in his direction, which would have crushed his little hand. No comment. This, added to the teenage girls shrieking at an unbelievable decibel, which surprised me that packs of dogs didn't arrive, make me leery of even coming back here on a weekend. Now don't be misled, I like kids. I like them if I am in a place designed for them, but not when I want beer, pool, and adult entertainment. I have just never thought of a driving range with booze and pool to be a "kid" zone. All this being said, I might consider trying it again as I agree with another poster that I appreciate their business model. BUT... scrap the idiotic "membership," and just charge per hour. This year our 12 yr old decided that his location of choice in celebrating his b-day would be top golf. We called to see if any bays were open the employee mention that we could just walk up and wait much like at a restaurant and it would not be a problem. I went ahead to get us on the list. When we arrived at the top golf there was a private event booked until 1pm , we had our party of kids on route. The employee at the desk Ashley was great she immediately asked if she could see what she could do. I called my wife to start to plan out where else we could move our party. Ashley was able to ask for help, one of the managers or supervisor Jordan. Together they were able to help us out and got us setup with a bay for our party. Both Ashley and Jordan deserve praise for there fast thinking and being customer centric focused ! We will be telling all of our friends how awesome of an experience we had. I'm a beginner and I've beaten really good golfers because you are scored based on the area where your ball land and rolls into. Genius! no one ever feels inadequate or embarrassed which is great. The food here is really good and the prices are not expensive. They have the best pretzel bites for $7.50, and they serve alcohol to your "bay" (private golfing area you are assigned). people i've gone with have had the steak quesadilla and wings and said they both were awesome. A bit expensive per hour to play, but the environment is so cool and fun, it's worth it. Parking is free in a big lot which is very important since i hate paying for parking and i won't even attend the event if parking will be difficult. It's the LA in me. Anyways go. We really love this place! The prices are reasonable and if you have a party of six it splits well to fun entertainment for each. Daytime costs are less for the same amount of fun (minus the lights on the range). The lines can be longer for sure in the evenings as well so be prepared to wait. The first time each person plays they need a membership. It's a one time cost of $5 and can be used at all their locations. This feels a little rough but is worth it and it never occurs again ($1 to replace a card however). The food is fabulous! We have enjoyed all the selections we have ordered. Salads, the rolls, the chicken and waffles, and even the burgers. In regards to food they have it down!!! Why the -1 star? The service can be frustrating, often we are waiting for our server and just see them standing around or chatting amongst themselves. Also, the computers seem to have issues frequently or is used as a standard answer whenever there is an issue with orders or pricing. "Walk in list full." This was a sign posted at the front as you walked in. There was no other notice that this was the case. I'm not disappointed that it was full, but nothing on their website mentioned that the walk in list was full. In fact, as the photo shows, it shows there is only a 15 minute wait. Although the website allows for reservations, there is nothing that I saw that would indicate that reservations were needed or even highly encouraged. Think bowling for golf. We really enjoy going to TopGolf, even when it's freezing out (they have awesome heaters)! Our 6-year old loves it and is able to have fun even though she can't hit the ball very far. They have "Junior Memberships" that score them differently and more fairly against the adults in the group. The food is decent (not really anything special, just typical sports bar food). The s'mores dessert is so good, but definitely share t with one or two people, it's very rich. My only complaints are 1: you have to wait for a bay even though there are bays open. My husband and I jokingly refer to it as the "Olive Garden effect". You have to wait no matter what. 2: The servers can be flakey and there's no call button to get their attention. When you're 20 bays down on the end, it's hard to get anyone's attention. 3: if you don't have a group of 6 it's expensive. $25, $35 or $45/HR depending on the time of day. So if you only have your little family, or are a couple, it's quite a lot! Heads up: you need to get a Membership card before you can golf so plan an extra 15-20 minutes depending on how busy it is. Memberships are $5 for your lifetime, unless you lose your card, then you have to pay an extra $1 to get a new one. read more

This place on a Saturday night is an unreal sight as you pull up and see what seems to be hundreds of cars circling the parking lots waiting for a spot to open up, people parked illegally all over the place, the fire lanes were impossible to see, it was like being at a Winco the night before thanksgiving. This parking lot was huge.. but just not big enough. Walking up the building is big and flashy and you can hear the dance music blaring from halfway across the parking lot. They don't take reservations which I think is a terrible idea and made things tough. Average wait for a lane on Saturday night seemed to be 2 - 3 hours. No joke. The place was lined with people all over. It was hard to see anything going on. I definitely look back to coming at a calmer time of the week. So show up hungry so you can burn some of the time off eating. The bar area was so insanely loud everyone was yelling and the music was blaring. I didn't know if we we're supposed to eat or get up and dance. The bar it's self is pretty with flashy lights. I saw some food come out but I didn't try anything myself. However I did enjoy a few of their Patron drink on their signature drink menu. It was strong and good. The golfing is awesome. The lanes are large and have a table where you can eat and relax while also driving some balls out as far as you can. Playing and getting to know just how far you actually hit the ball is definitely more fun if you're competitive. I definitely recommend dressing relaxed.. No heels, no one golfs in heels. Dress for the weather, there are heaters outside but they're not powerful enough for a t shirt on a Saturday night in February. I wouldn't bring children here on a weekend evening, there were quite a few drunk people sloshing around in the building. Overall it was totally fun, out waitress kicked ass in serving our group of 16 people for a birthday. She seemed like she was always there ready for orders and bringing out everything. Flawless. That was my first experience at Top Golf. We showed up on a rainy, rainy Saturday and knew this place was going to be busy. It was beyond busy. Line almost out the door. Oi! Since it was our first time, we had to get a Top Golf membership ($5) but they mow through the line with clear efficiency. The worker who got all 5 of us cards was personable and quick. We were told it would be a two hour wait, so we grabbed a booth in the restaurant. Despite it being packed to the gills, our server was over in under 5 minutes and go out food and drink orders in a flash. We ordered the quesadilla, mac & cheese egg rolls and chips/guacamole. The food was super good and presented nicely - something I rarely note but the mini fryer was freaking adorable. The Moscow mule was perfect - and they have a huge beer/cocktail/whatever your heart desires. We finally got to go golfing - on the top, yah! Our server explained the basics and got us going to golf. I am not a golfer - before this I'd never swung a real golf club. Just putt putt. After being awkward trying to swing right handed, which I am not, our guy got me some left handed clubs and I became marginally better. It was pretty fun trying to hit the targets - or in my case, I was happy when I just happened to hit the ball. It's not cheap during their peak hours - $45 - but it's a lot of fun so it's worth it. Came here with family and some friends and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. We've been back once since. This is a tri-level putting range. The balls are chipped with gps, so when you hit them the computer can tell you if you hit any of the targets and how far your ball went. You can play different games and each successful hit gives you points. In a way it's like bowling but obviously a golf version. They have clubs, but I saw quite a few people with their own. The setup is nice. We were on the second floor as well as the third. I think it depends on what kind of shooting you want to do to have a preference over which floor to be on. If you want to go for the closer targets, it might not be ideal to be on the third floor. They have space heaters above the green and above the tables/couches so you can stay warm even when it's raining out. They have a good selection of beer and a full food menu. Not much for vegans, so I wouldn't recommend going for lunch. The pricing for the range isn't too bad. The earlier in the day you go, the cheaper it is. Also it's less crowded early and on weekdays. When you add in food and drinks it gets expensive. I'm giving it three instead of four stars because our first time going here we were kicked off our spot after our time expired. I guess there was a wait list and we would be added to that wait list and get a new spot later. I get that they want to make sure people get to play, but it would have been nice before our time ran out to let us know that was the case, or maybe even give us the opportunity to extend if it looked like there was going to be a waitlist forming. Another time we went the guy who was checking us in did us the "favor" of letting us pick our level. We went with the middle level and started playing. After an hour we were told we had to leave because of a special event. We weren't done playing and there were plenty of areas open, so it was really annoying that we weren't placed somewhere where an event wasn't about to take place (seems common sense) or at least warn us. Let me start off by saying that we are definitely not some seasoned golfers. 2 out of the 4 in our group have never even touched a golf club. When we first arrived, we were greeted and taken out to our driving bay. We were given instructions on how everything worked and we got some drinks. About half an hour in, our waiter came by and asked if we wanted some free tips from a pro golfer. The pro golfer Tara came out and spent time with each of us and easily made us 5 times better than from the start. The waitress even added 30 minute to our total time for when Tara was helping us. BLUF (bottom line up front, for you non military types :) - expensive fun. Yes, I said it! Located off Rt 26 near Hillsboro, you can see this huge structure easily from the highway. Pull off and there's a pretty large parking lot that is always full. Your first time there you'll have to register for a TopGolf Card (very convenient way of making you feel like you aren't paying that much when you start up another game, because after all, you're taking out your Golf ID and not a credit card!) It's $25/hr before noon; $35/hr noon to 5p; $45/hr after 5p. However, I'm pretty sure that is divided among the total number of players that have their own TopGolf IDs. The structure is 3 stories tall with open air table areas. There is a roof with many hanging heaters, but obviously no other real walls. You can probably fit 6-8 around a table comfortably without getting claustrophobic. The drinks were spendy and pretty weak (unless you get a beer/wine where you know the ABV). The food was averagely priced and averagely tasty. Your typical bar food: burgers, salads, wraps, tots, apps, etc. My fried chicken sandwich was a bit on the salty side and actually kind of gave me a stomach ache on the way home. I do have to say the service was really good. Our waiter was always available and very prompt. He made a point to introduce himself, get to know us, check on us regularly, and divide up the bill as necessary. I appreciated him! My friends have been raving about it since it opened. I've been to other locations on the east coast and it is very much the same no matter where you go. I'm not the biggest golf fan either, but you don't have to be a pro to try it out. There are many "games" you can set the computer to, and try to aim for different colored holes or targets or just hit as hard as you can :) read more

So, I hate golf. I don't want to try to hit a tiny ball in a tiny hole outside for hours on end. That being said, Top Golf, for what it inherently is, is pretty good. I attended a company party here. The staff were organized and met us at the door. We were a bit early and our spot was still being prepped, so we grabbed a drink at the bar. I had previously seen a drink online I wanted to try. I didn't know the name, but the bartender was able to make it for me based on my description. I thought it was going to be freezing outside and that I'd have to spend most of the event inside trying to stay warm. Not the case. It was actually warmer under the heaters outside than it was inside. The buffet had pretty good food. My favorite was the donut holes that you inject with raspberry filling. SO good. I honestly wasn't impressed with their drinks. I had two cocktails and only drank half of the second because it just didn't taste good. So, even though I hate golf, I still enjoyed my time here. I didn't hit a single ball, but I watched other people and I ate a lot of food and I looked at their weird Top Golf cooking show that was on. read more

We are big top golf fans. We have been to the Dallas, Las Vegas, Salt Lake, and Portland locations. The workers are nice and helpful but I've had a problem of locating them when my drink is low or if we need help. The best bay to be in is higher up and closer to the middle. This time we got stuck at the end on the bottom floor but it's busy so it makes sense. The food is really good too! Don't forget your membership card because it is $1 fee. In my opinion the best group size is 4 people so you all get a good amount of time to play. Going at night is cool with the target lights but it is more expensive. I prefer going in the afternoon for the cheaper price. We love top golf and hope to go to a few other locations. read more

hi , we went to top golf for team outing. It was a Thursday afternoon. We went during lunch to eat and play.We were very welcomed at the entrance and got seated. We started ordering from a short menu they had. I ordered grilled chicken sandwich with side salad.Side Salad was additional 1$ otherwise it comes with fries or tots. I liked the sandwich , salad i got was very very small portion. We had a heart full lunch and moved to bay. One bay per hour for the afternoon is 35$, if u want to get cheaper a bit go before 12 and u can save 10$, and after 5 pm its 45$.If u go with a group its OK priced otherwise i felt its overrated.It was fun playing golf there , it works at any weather ,they have a heater vent at top of you which keeps you slightly warmer all the time. I went here with my husband and another couple on early on a Saturday afternoon. We hadn't made reservations in advance (it's $25 and that doesn't go toward your bill) and when we checked in we were told 45 minutes for a wait. We went to the bar and waited. An hour and fifteen minutes in, we got a text saying our lane was ready. We went to the front desk to get our lane and was told to wait outside (where the lanes are) while they find which lane. We waited for a bit and was told it would still be a bit longer. We then went inside and back to the bar to wait. After another 30 minutes and three times asking, our lane was finally ready. I think the place is fun, but just not managed the best in terms of their waiting system. If we ever go again, we'll definitely pay the extra $25 to not have to wait forever. read more

OK, there might be a few kinks that they need to work out, but overall Topgolf is awesome and I'm just incredibly happy to have them in Portland. I have every faith that they fine-tune the experience, and it'll be across-the-board five stars. Topgolf is essentially a fancy driving range experience, where you're not just going for distance but also accuracy. The range is covered with circular targets, and the closer to the bullseyes you hit, the more points your earn. You can compete with the people in your particular bay, or with the entire facility. As a person who loves to earn points, and loves to win contests, this setup is my dream. The technology behind it is pretty great, too. This place is seriously high-tech! You'll have a server, and they have some pretty solid food and drink. Of course, it's a bit spendy, but what would you expect at a place like this? I opted to drink a Paloma for (I think) $10, but then moved on to PBRs. What can I say? I'm not that fancy. The staff is all quite young and seemed really confused. There were struggles getting checked in, and struggles with our hostess in explaining how the game worked. Thankfully, we figured it all out and from that point on, it was smooth sailing. They're BRAND NEW, so I won't hold it against them, and I suspect that if I were to return in a couple of weeks time, that wouldn't be a problem. I have been just stupid excited for Topgolf to open in Portland, and now it's finally here! I'm confident that I'll be spending a lot of time - and money - at this location. read more

Arrived at 4pm to play for two hours. Got a bay right away, however the bay we were in was only available for 1.5 hours due to an event so after some back and forth they decided to move us. Once at the new bay the screen was locked and stated there was an event and it could not be used! After more back and forth they moved us back to the same bay we were originally in. They did give us $10 dollars off the game play for the hassle but for not being busy at all, it was a Wednesday at 4pm! It felt a little ridiculous. The food was okay and the service after the initial issue was also just okay. The girl seemed new and or very uncomfortable in her position. This place is so much fun. From opening to noon, it's $25/hr to "golf", 12-5pm $35/hr, and after 5pm is $45/hr. They also have pool and wii kinect...and tvs to watch sports. I live the creativity in their food and drinks. I enjoyed the jalapeño strawberry Margarita and chicken+waffle sliders. If you haven't been to Topgolf, your life is sad. Everything is good about TopGolf! There is different types of fun games that involve with golf there too! Not just normal golf. (For example, Angry Birds) and there food is amazing! I suggest getting their burger with injectable donuts (make sure to share it with someone because they give you a lot!) and their injectable donuts, you get to inject cinnamon donuts with 3 flavors, vanilla, jelly, or chocolate. Or, you could get a different treat I suggest. Their is one that is ice cream with a brownie around it. It is very good! So I highly suggest you go to Topgolf! read more

Had a pretty fun evening with my cousins here. The pricing is actually pretty decent and totally worth it. It's kind of like a dynamic pricing $25, $35, or $45 per hour per Bay for a group of less than 6 people, depending on the time of the day you get in. The earlier the cheaper. There's an additional first time guest/card membership fee of $5. And you can conveniently add more time at the Bay if you want. I really like the setup because you don't need to grab a bucket of golf balls. There's a ball dispenser at your bay, which is so convenient. You just step over a sensor and it dispenses a ball. There's also an interactive touchscreen monitor/console/computer for selecting players, game type, course, etc, and there's multiple golf sticks to select from right at your bay. It's a very customized personal/self-serve experience. Great experience out here. The bar food is also pretty good. We had nachos and got a couple of watermelon margaritas and mojitos. Our bar server was also pretty nice to lend us a phone charger at our bay. There were 3 of us, and we were able to get two games in one hour, including short breaks to eat or drink. We also played some pool is the small games rooms after we were done at the Bay. Really nice setup here. I definitely will return. I highly recommend it.
