For first time attendees, there is a $5 fee to get a lifetime membership card. After that, you just pay for bays as you play (charges by the hour). Prices are reasonable too. I believe they vary based on the day and time of day. I went on a Sunday evening and it cost $47 for one bay for an hour. This allowed 5 of us to play and it was definitely enough time. I brought my cousins who were visiting from out of town and they had a blast. None of them play golf but it was fun just to hit the ball. Towards the end everyone was getting the hang of it. I came here recently for a work event with my coworkers. This place is super fun! It was my first time golfing ever, and this place is great place for beginners. The point system and color coding in the game helps you figure out where you should be aiming. I also like how easy it was to switch between different clubs. Aside from the game itself, the staff took great care of us. We had open bar & also catered food. Everything was on point. Food was all fresh and tasted great. The alcohol was chilled and constantly refilled. And I really liked the golf game they had! We had no issues with any broken machines and the venue looked almost new because it was well taken care of. Arrived early and was greeted by a nice lady. Our reservation was for 2:15 and we asked if we could get in early due to it not being crowded. The lady told us we could but we would lose our deposit fee. I laugh and said " It's not crowded and you have berths available and if we move up our reservation we lose our deposit fee. This makes absolutely zero sense to me. We kept our original reservation and waited for an open spots that was already available for another 40 minutes when they notified us via phone. I also spoke with our waiter and he said " It was a really slow day". The food was just okay, typical overpriced frozen bar food. The drink menu was nice and had a large selection of alcohol drinks. My friend got a mixed drink and it barely had alcohol in it. I would suggest ordering beer of wine. Overall it was a fun day!!! I came with my friends on Wednesday night to get the $15 college student promotion and I had so much fun. We got assigned an area (like bowling) on the lowest floor because of the promo. The staff is very courteous and attentive, the facility is very clean and utilizes top-end technology for its golfing system. The food and drink menu is pretty large, so anyone in your party should be able to find something they will enjoy. You rent the bays by the hour and each bay can hold up to 6 people. Each bay comes with a sitting area, selection of clubs for both men and women, screens that give the stats of each drive, and an individual driving area to hit from. For our event, we were on the second floor out of 3, so you had a good height advantage to begin with for your drives (which is something I need since I am very bad at golf). Prime time is a bit on the expensive side but for a special occasion or birthday it is super fun! We are not golfers by any means and still had a great time! Our server Sam was awesome and both the managers who were there stopped by to make sure we were having a good time. I was invited to a company event during the day. I can't speak much about the event but I enjoyed being here. With most Yelpers said, it can be more affordable when you come with a group of 6 to split the cost. I drove by Topgolf on Katy freeway all the time and never noticed what was behind the fancy building. The facility is very cool, filed with cool AC. But it could get steamy hot at the bays, even with fans blowing. So, bring a hand towel to wipe your sweat. I have tried the food from the bar. I ordered mushi because it was so showy and got a foreign name. Not sure what to expect, just edible. Service was ok, I can't complain because we had a very large group. I can't say that I like golfing. At least I've tried it once in my life that I can speak of. For one, the ball is super tiny. I couldn't see with my naked eyes. With hundred other golf balls on the field, who knows which one is mine. However, I liked the atmosphere when other people having a good time with their favorite drinks and swings. Topgolf is definitely a fun place to hang out with your buddies and kick it while at the same time you can relieve your stress whacking away at the golf balls. However, you have to take into account that it is pretty costly to hang out here. The bay rental is $40/hour and you can fit up to (I believe) six people per bay. So if you have six people going, it would cost you roughly a little $6/hour each which, I guess is not too bad. But it was costly for me regardless because (A) I never golfed before and (B) some of my friends are avid golfers so I thought I was paying too much just so they can show me off. Anyway, service here is TOTAL CRAP! Like, seriously crappy! We were placed at the far 3rd and 4th bay on the first floor so our waitress never came around. Every time we wanted to order something, we'd have to find our waitress just so we could place our order. Moreover, even after you've placed the order, don't expect it to come unless you ask for it again. Let's just say my steak quesadillas never came around and I had to leave this place hungry. They had an area by the restrooms where they had with tables and Nintendo Wii so you can play. I think they're free but I didn't check. But they only had two pool tables (on the first floor) and thousands of people at the range. So I don't know what the policy to shoot pool there. All in all, I had fun. I think I'd go back if I could get enough people to go to share the rental cost. But I will make sure that I'm going with my belly full. P.S. This place reminded me of a ski lodge when I first walked in. I came here on Sunday with 3 people at around 2 and there was a 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait. We each had to purchase a $5 membership card since it was our first time there and we gave them our phone numbers to text us when our bay was ready. The bays are $20 per hour from 9-12 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and $40 per hour after 12. On Monday through Thursday, they are $20 per hour until 6 and $40 per hour after 6. Each bay can have up to 6 people and you just have one person swipe their card and split the price between all the players. We hung out at IKEA while we waited and Katy Mills, Memorial City, City Center, Ranch 99, and Super H Mart are close by as well if you want to kill some time and go shopping and/or eat while you wait. There are also pool tables and kinect in the basement and a restaurant and bar when you first walk in. We came back after 2 1/2 hours and they texted us when our bay was ready. We got assigned to bay 122 on the bottom floor. I've never played anything besides miniature golf and I had so much fun! There are bays on all floors and the goal is to hit you golf ball in one of the giant holes. We played 2 games - top golf and top score. I would recommend both if you're a beginner. There are clubs at each bay but a lot of people brought their own clubs. If you're a beginner, I would recommend using one of the bigger golf clubs and putting your ball on the tee. Keep your eye on the ball, legs shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent, and left arm straight and right arm bent when you're swinging if you're right handed! read more

I think I've had TopGolf bookmarked for years. However, there was always something that kept me from coming here. But not this time! We came here on Labor Day, which by the way had normal business hours regardless of it being a holiday. If you come here before noon, it costs $20/hr per bay. After that, it's $40/hr. It's also first come, first serve. So, I was already expecting a long wait, but we were seated right away. Each bay consisted of a table, enough seating for 4 people (comfortably), and a plasma screen TV for viewing any sports. Now, what I appreciated here was that we could start playing golf anytime, and no one was pressuring us until we were ready. So, we decided to eat lunch first. Usually, I'm not expecting awesome food at activity based establishments like TopGolf. But, I was surprised to find that the food was above average here. Just a note: if you get here before 2 pm, you can catch their brunch menu. So, we ordered the Eggs Benedict, the Smokehouse burger, and the cheese fries. The Eggs Benedict was delicious. Eggs were poached perfectly and the insides were still runny. The hollandaise sauce over it was lemony and creamy. Fried potatoes on the side were seasoned really well and had good crunch. The burger was cooked exactly to medium, and remained juicy. Cheese fries came with raw, spicy jalapeños (none of that canned jalapeño stuff), which I appreciated. I do have to say the food and drinks are pricey, though. Add this on top of what you're already paying per hour to play golf, and it can get really expensive. Service was great. Our waiter, Roshi, made sure we were doing good during our entire time there - even filling our water several times, since it was hot and humid outside. Parking was not an issue, since we had no problems finding a spot. I can't speak for peak times, though. Overall, we enjoyed hanging out here. So, even if you're a novice golfer, you'll definitely have fun. I do have a newfound appreciation for golfing as a sport. Now, what are you waiting for? Come check them out! read more

My only complaint was that the service was super slow since our waitress was nowhere to be found. The service at the bar was just as slow even though there wasn't really any customers, the bartenders really need to step it up and learn to move faster! The chicken and waffles are pretty good but beware because the picture on the menu makes it look way bigger than what it really is. Made me feel rushed and killed the experience. Even so, at the end at 15 minutes till, a manager has to come by and verify you don't want to extend you time. Why?! Whether you're a scratch golfer, just want to mess around, want to drink or want some good food, this is a good bet for you. Practicing is easy in any weather. Hot is not much of a factor because it's shaded and has super blasting wall-mounted fans on you the whole time. It faces east which is nice from noon on bc it will always be shaded when people generally come out. You hit off a mat or their tee which can give you a lot of confidence, but remember real grass is much more challenging obviously. But the motion activated ball dispense isn't perfect, it can be screwy, it may take some patience or even assistance at times. But there are so many people that work here it shouldn't be hard to find an employee. You can use their clubs and not bring your own, which is kind of nice if you're just having fun. Their stock clubs are fair but of course you can get real nice ones to practice with too for a pretty penny. Price wise they have some good initial prices when you sign up for membership, as in a free hour. Those are generally found at malls and I've seen them online. The food is pretty darn good considering that's not the main drag. I had a great chicken n waffles dish while I played. Top golf is a great place to go and gets more people interested in golf. If you're a serious golfer, this might not make your list. But for people looking to have a good time and have a good experience with golf, this is fun. It's a three tiered driving range. They have a full bar and food. They have a rooftop outdoor area to relax as well as a place for pool and darts. Everyone can find something to do here. The facility is really nice. They have chips in the balls to measure distances and keep score during different games. It's pretty cool. The staff is more or less good. This varies by individual. The first time I went, Tiffany did an excellent job. I went yesterday, and the person working our area wasn't overly helpful. We asked for additional water, and she seemed bothered. Downside It is ridiculously expensive. You can go to a driving range for under $10. They charge an arm and a leg for the experience here. Which is fun, but only makes it worth it in groups. For the same price you could play 2 full rounds of golf at a decent club. Overall Worth it. Give it a shot, you will like it. Don't expect a cheap night. The more that go, the cheaper it will be. Came here with 3 friends last weekend around 11 AM. We were assigned a bay on 2nd floor (their recommendation between 1st and 2nd floor). There was a group to our left when we arrived that left after a bit, and then a group came in a few minutes later and set up in the bay to our right. They bays were heated, which we appreciated, and we were able to adjust the settings ourselves! There were also barriers set up between bays so I never felt like we were in close proximity to others. We were also able to see the bay to our left get cleaned thoroughly between bookings! The employees who helped us get set up and order food and drinks were very helpful. We all had to buy a lifetime membership (one-time $5 payment), though I had come before and thought I had already purchased one. We then got two bottles of champagne for mimosas that came with orange, pineapple, and cranberry juice. I believe they were $25 each. We also got an order of chips and guac, which came with too many chips and too little guac and salsa! We played for two hours--the first hour was $27 (morning rate), and the second was $37 (afternoon rate. The experience was relatively smooth, though we did have to reset the game once and move some scores around when we forgot to press our name before our turn (it's not automatic). With my healthcare discount, our total came out to $37/person before tip! The next day, we all got an email to fill out a survey, from which we received $10 off our next visit. Looking forward to returning--with the $10 and without the $5 membership fee, this place is pretty affordable, especially if you play from 10-12!
