I had many questions for Eric and not once did I feel rushed and he also did not try to oversell me on anything. Needless to say, I ended up walking out with a new rod and reel. I would highly recommend stopping in to Fisherman's Warehouse for all things fishing related!

He is incredibly knowledgeable about tuna fishing, does an outstanding job lining reels, and has always treated us with professionalism and respect. He's the reason we've continued to shop there.Unfortunately, our experience with Eric, the manager, has been the complete opposite. My husband stopped in while he was tired and quiet, yet Eric later commented that he came in "crazy," even though my husband hadn't said a word to anyone. That was both unnecessary and disrespectful. This also wasn't our first negative interaction with Eric. On a previous visit while Dave was lining our reels, Eric repeatedly interrupted to tell Dave to make sure we knew we had to pay for the special line marking. We never questioned the charge and had absolutely no problem paying for it. We appreciate Dave's expertise and know quality work deserves to be paid for. When my husband simply said, "It's okay, Dave takes care of me," referring to the excellent service Dave provides, Eric immediately responded, "We all take care of you." The interaction came across as defensive and left us feeling unwelcome. It's unfortunate because Dave is one of the best resources for tuna fishing and reel setup, but management makes the overall experience unpleasant. We'll be taking our business elsewhere, and that's a shame because we genuinely enjoyed working with Dave.

I wanted to share my appreciation for the excellent service I received from Michael, the Sales…read moreManager and his whole team at the Fairfield Sportsman's Warehouse. It is rare to find a manager so willing to dive into the technical details with customers. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clearly takes pride in ensuring you walk away with the right gear for your specific needs. He didn't just point me toward a product; he took the time to discuss the nuances of the equipment, which I genuinely appreciated. The entire atmosphere of the store reflects his leadership organized, professional, and welcoming. If you're looking for someone who actually understands the sport and treats your questions with respect, go see Michael. I'll definitely be returning to this location for my future guns.

This store does not appear to care about their customers…read more The store left me two voicemails saying I had until close of business on August 21 to pick up a roughly $1,000 firearm. I relied on that and went well out of my way to get there well before closing, only to learn that they had canceled the transaction earlier that morning. Mistakes happen. But what really bothered me was the response. First they blamed me - they said I was late and this was just their policy, despite *two* voicemails from their team member (Michael) telling me otherwise. The manager (Kevin) then told me that *I'd* need to pay for another background check and initially refused to cover it due to their mistake. I later emailed the store manager, Bill Curtis, to explain what happened and give them an opportunity to address it. He did not respond. I don't live anywhere near the store. I relied on their representations and wasted a good part of my day. I'd think twice about trusting them and doing business with them in the future.

The manager, Victor, needs TRAINING. I didn't even know he was the manager but I asked him whether…read morethey had a specific item in stock IN BLACK OR WHITE (I had already looked myself and only found PINK), he said "whatever is out is what we have", I asked can you check on your device? He unwillingly/rushingly scanned the PINK item and stated "Nope that's all we have is PINK". I asked, so not in back either? "No". I could tell he wasn't dilligently looking so I asked another employee if they had the item in BLACK OR WHITE..he found "THREE AVAILABLE" IN BLACK. As he was on the register he only pointed me back to the area I had already looked. I said I already looked there, he said "ok well then we don't have it, whatever is out is what we have" Long story short I looked online and ordered the item for pickup, about 30 mins later I receive a message that my item was ready & drove back to the store to pick it up. I asked to speak to the manager, and I couldn't believe it was the same guy who told me they didn't have it! We all make mistakes right, but it was just the way our initial interaction went that I knew he was being lazy. Further, rather than apologize he double-downed on his explanation that they only had PINK. Like bro I'm holding it in my hand & it says available online? I realized he only scanned the pink item, so of course it didn't bring up the other colors that may or may not be available. He was like upset I found it?? It's just annoying that I was just in the store and all he had to do was take 2 minutes to assist me. There were more employees in the store than customers & nobody could spare a couple minutes to simply look for an item, isn't that apart of the job? It was super weird bc Dick's employees are usually very helpful. I hope Victor is having a better day.

I recently found out about this place from a friend's Instagram story when they went. So I made…read moresure to plan a hike here for when I had time. I was able to come here in the middle of the week around noon. The GPS made this place easy to find. There is plenty of parking here at pena adobe park and lagoon valley park. The hike is located at lagoon valley park, so don't mix those up. You do have to pay $5 for parking, and the machine kiosk was broken when I went, but you can still pay through the park mobile app, which is what I did. The hike is listed as moderate, but felt borderline difficult to me (maybe I'm just out of shape). There is a lot of up hill when you first start, and because there wasn't a lot of shade combined with me going on the hottest day of the week (low 80 degrees), it did make it feel more difficult. After I parked, I was a bit confused on where to go so had to ask someone finishing up their hike for the direction. I was instructed to go up the main trail past the gate for the main trail to the lighthouse at the top. There are lots of trails here, but the one to the top of the hill is the most popular, and probably the most difficult). Once you park in the lot by the lake/pond, you cross the road to the grassy side and follow that trail to the gate that keeps the cows inside. There is another easier hike/walk your can take around the lake/pond, which is mostly flat. The views on this hike are great. Despite it being a little warmer, the breeze helped a lot. I liked the views and made it to the top after about 1 and a half hours. In total, it took me about 2 hours to finish the hike. And that's with a 20 minute break halfway going uphill. Going downhill is a lot faster. I'll be back for one of the other trails and how to bring family and friends to join.

We made a quick stop here so that I could do some birding while on a roadtrip through the area…read more What a great park! There is a great trail around the lake where you can view many waterbirds. Trees and bushes hide smaller birds and provide shade in spots. It looked like they had lots of picnic tables, playgrounds for kids etc. We were not here long, so I'm sure there was a lot more to see and do.
