Toppers Pizza is a unique experience. They have so many different sauces/toppings for their pizzas that it almost seems like the combinations are endless. I ordered over the phone for pickup. The employee said it would be about 15 to 20 minutes. I arrive, and there is plenty of parking around as it is located in a strip. They have a few spaces reserved for curbside pick up also. I went inside it's a small place so it is only carry out options. The employee asked my name and got my to go order. I paid at the counter, and they have plates, napkins, red pepper flakes, and parmesean packets you can grab yourself. Now on to the food. I ordered a medium pizza with half their specialty Mac and cheese pizza and the other half the smoked bbq chicken pizza. One thing about toppers is I love that you can do half specialities it's a way to try more of their combos in one buy. They tend to have deals going on, so always be on the lookout for those. I loved both the flavors I got. The wings, on the other hand, were why I only gave 4 stars. I enjoyed the boom boom sauce it was tasty it was just the size of the wings for the price I paid that I couldn't get past. They redeemed themselves with their cinnamon Stix for dessert. The combo of cinnamon and icing were perfect, and if you needed more icing, they gave you some on the side to dip. Overall good experience next time I know to skip the wings. read more

Sad to hear the location closed as it was a pretty decent pizza spot. I definitely preferred it over other fast food pizza chains. The service was nice and quick. The pizza was cooked exactly how I wanted and the wings had great flavor. I loved the packaging with the cows. Hopefully they open again one day. read more

One Star - Extremely Unprofessional Experience We're staying at a resort near Toppers Pizza in Gurnee, IL and decided to order four pizzas for a group night in. After waiting over an hour and a half with no update, we called to check on the status--only to be told that the order had been cancelled. No phone call, no email, no notification of any kind. It's incredibly frustrating and unprofessional to just cancel an order without letting the customer know, especially after such a long wait. We were left scrambling to find another dinner option late at night. Definitely would not recommend ordering from this location if you're hoping for reliable service. read more

Feeling hungry after a long night out? Toppers are open late 1AM during weekdays and 2AM on weekends! I've been here a couple times and their pizza has always been hot and fresh! Their Mac and cheese and sausage / pepperoni are my favorite. The place looks clean, staff is friendly, curbside pick up is available, and if you also want ice cream, that have that too! I do love the Wisconsin cheese that they use. Their pizza is not as salty compared to the other pizza place by six flags and ingredients are fresh. We order for pick up. They had a really good special of their pizzas. The order took about 25mins or so. The food was ready by pick up time. We got the mac n cheese pizza and the new Italian beef pizza. I was a little nervous of how big the cuts of beef were at first glance. But everything was so delicious. The guys at the front also gave cheese and pepper for the road. Great location. I would definitely recommend. read more

Came here after a night of drinking and was craving pizza. OPEN LATE so it's the perfect pick me up! We went for the crazy option and got the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese and I honestly wasn't expecting much, but it was SOOO GOOD!! I just wanted to say how pleasantly surprised I was by this pizza place last night. We were starving after Six Flags, where we waited in line for 30 minutes and never got served for the $16 slice of pizza. It turns out that it was a blessing in disguise. We were going to the restaurant next door, but it stopped serving food. We were so happy to find this place. We got a great deal for pizza and drinks for my carload of teenage boys for a fraction of what we would have paid at the park. Plus, it was delicious as well and made fresh in front of us. Best dairy free pizza hands down. It tastes sooo good, that even my family loves it too and they don't have the dairy allergy. They are so accommodating and great with allergies and requests. My family also LOVES their normal pizzas and say it's the best pizza too! I will always be a toppers fan, especially this one because they are very nice and respectful as well. Above average pizza. That is compared to the big four P Hut, Domino's, P Johns and L Ceasars. Comparable to Marco's and Casey's. So would definitely come again. The wings were screamin'. Had the Boom Boom and Parmesan Garlic. Boom Boom needed more sauce. read more

Zero Rating - worst experience... Order total $93 - big expense... Vegan pizza is hard to find, so we chose Toppers. Received our order with no vegan pizza. The door dash guy did his job and Toppers did NOT. I called the Toppers (Gurnee location) and the guy who answered the phone said "You'll be refunded in two business days." They did not make a vegan pizza because they were out of Vegan cheese!?! We never received a call to tell us they were out of vegan cheese or to tell us they would refund our money. We had to call Toppers... They sent the door dash guy with half our order. No manager was available to speak to at the time. I was told the manager would call me later. Never received a phone call. I will now have to go to Toppers to make sure I get a refund... Again, not a cheap dinner.... Take note of our experience and think twice about Toppers as your dinner choice. Really good pizza place, they have the best prices!! I ordered for a birthday party about 10 large pizzas they had them done right on time nice and fresh. My favorite part of the thin cheese pizza is that it gets Italian seasoning and makes the pizza have a way better taste. On the other hand the house pizzas are creative and good. My personal favorites is the baffalo chicken topper and the Mac and Cheese pizzas. I 100% recommend this place it's so underrated and deserves more attention since it just opened. read more

Ordered their 3 item deal (14" Veggie pizza, Spicy Buffalo boneless wings and, roasted jalapeño cheese bread) but upon arrival in my kitchen I noticed the cheese bread didn't have jalapeños on it and I was up-charged for it. I called the restaurant to let them know of their mistake and that I didn't want anything just to let them know my order was incorrect. The young guy that answered the phone blamed it on the "pizza maker" and advised that I called around 4 the next day to speak with the manager. I opted not to because it wasn't that serious. After getting off of the phone I grabbed a slice of pizza and was immediately turned off. Not exaggerating, every single slice in that box had at least one piece of onion skin (not the brown paper like stuff but the tough part of the onion) on it. Of course who wants to eat a pizza that you have to keep spitting tough onion pieces out? I just chocked it up as a loss. I'll stick to Papa Johns for a regular pizza but their boneless wings were alright. Nothing to rave over but they were definitely the better part of my order. read more
