I ordered from Ron and Pat's for the first time today. I ordered a 12" Denver White pizza and the Caprese salad. Initially it said that it would take 75 minutes for the order to be delivered, but I actually received it in 45 minutes. The pizza was good but needed a good sprinkling of salt. The Caprese salad was also very good. The basil was super fresh and the balsamic vinegar on top was yummy. It is pricey, so I wouldn't order from here regularly, but overall I was really happy with the quality of the meal. read more

We tried them last week for the first time and just ordered again from them today! Growing up in Chicago with all the great pizza joints made us pretty picky when it came to our pizza. We've tried all the regular local Antioch pizza places, but have yet to find a favorite. That has now changed. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the crust was delicious. Who would expect to find the best gluten free pizza in the area in this little off the main road pizza place? Certainly not me, but I am so happy to be pleasantly surprised. They've had me questioning whether or not I got the correct pizza a few times the gluten free crust was so good! It's crunchy, medium thickness, and has a nice Parmesan flavor. We've been going to Antioch for years and never heard of this cute little place. Our son-in-law told us about it so we decided to give it a try. The outside was a little quirky with metal signs as decorations on the building but going inside we found it charming and comfortable. Food was wonderful. We ordered the Greek salad and it was amazing better than some big restaurants we've been to. For the pizza we ordered Italian beef and mushroom. The crust was homemade and the pizza was outstanding! What was almost better than the food was the friendly staff and friendly owner who saw to it we had everything we needed. We are definitely going back as much as we can. I'm sorry to say they didn't make a very good first impression. We wanted to finally try this place after being around Antioch for ten years. We placed an order on a Saturday evening after 5pm. They said 35-40minutes. We went to pick it up after 35 minutes but had to wait another 30 minutes for pizza, sandwich, fries, mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms. Pizza and sandwich okay. This is not the best pizza I e had since moving to Antioch, it's 3rd. The other side to that is this pizza shack is #1 for sides and other menu items compared to all other pizza shops in the area. How to improve the pizza? Make the sauce more tasty. Add some zing to it, right now it's barely better than fast food pizza sauce. Also, take it easy on the cheese. Yes pizza should be cheesy but not at the expense of smothering out all the flavors of the other ingredients. They will continue to get my business when I am after tasty sides more than I am pizza. Plus, they deliver unlike so many pizza shops in Antioch which is weird. Antioch is a small suburb yet so many pizza shops won't go beyond 3 miles to deliver pizza, weird. read more

Drove up to the Harley Davidson Museum on my trip to Chicago recently and we were craving pizza. We searched on Google for great pizza spots driving back to Great Lakes, IL. (my son had just graduated from Navy Bootcamp and we were on our way back to drop him off). We stopped at one place that had great reviews but they didn't have dine-in available. Ron & Pat's was our 2nd choice and I can't express how happy we were to have found this pizza shack. Fist of all, this place is just too cute, the gas station decor made it very different and unique. The people there, including the new owners were super friendly and definitely made us feel like we were guests in their home. I can't remember her name (sorry) but she was was just so sweet!!! So we started with the crispy fries and beer cheese - These were just so good - we ordered more!! Then, my son chose a specialty pizza and we went with the Siracha/Ranch Chicken Pizza. They come in dofferent sizes and since we were "really" hungry, we all decided to go for a bigger size.. This pizza was round but cut sicilian style and oh em gee it was really really good. Excellent pizza! I didn't notice any reviews about their par baked pizza so here's mine. I ordered it on line. I live 40 minutes from here but pass by it from work. Decided to order a par baked pizza and finish cooking it at home. I really wasn't sure how it would work, but it turned out great! Preheat the oven to 425 and wait 5 - 10 minutes before putting the pizza in and for about 15 minutes (your time may vary) and you have a hot fresh baked pizza. Tip: be sure to order the pizza uncut. It was excellent! I ordered onion, green pepper and half sausage. Plenty of toppings and cheese and a good crispy crust. The par baked is not too thin and it's not deep dish either. Just right for me. The order was ready on time at 4:45 for a Friday and they were already super busy. Quick and friendly. I will definitely order here again. Enjoy! read more

This old time pizza shack was recommended to us. Friendly, attention to detail, good food/service. They have a vegan cheese that my wife says is the closest to regular mozzarella she has had.
