This weird metal like pointy thing in the noodle

I like to do extensive research before I spend my money anywhere with food. I saw a review on goggle for Top's China about something like this in their food but they didn't provide a picture. My family member said to still give them a try. Now I regret it. This is dangerous and a lawsuit waiting to happen if this is swallowed. Be careful.

19.03.31 A very forgettable lunch two days ago. I requested, to go: Spring Rolls Egg Roll Hot & Sour Soup Pork Lo Mein The man took my money and gave me change. On the counter I noticed the usual packets of Soy/Mustard/Duck. Ten minutes later, my food came up; the same man put the bag on the counter. saying, "Your order's ready." No smile, no thanks, no "kiss my ass." Just "Your order's ready." Picking up my food, I also picked up 2 packets of Mustard. At home, I went for the Spring Rolls first. Very good Spring Rolls without condiments. Even better when paired with Fish Sauce from my fridge. On to the Egg Roll. One packet of Hot Mustard. Wow! The Egg Roll was very good, and the Hot Mustard was very hot. I wish all Chinese restaurants had mustard that hot. Next up is the Hot & Sour Soup. I ladled some from the carryout container into my own bowl. Then went for the packet of Crispy Noodles. Major disappointment. The noodles had been purchased from a food service company. Had I known that in advance, I would not have ordered the H&SS. Then the Pork Lo Mein. I added my own Tamari Sauce, and enjoyed every bite of the PLM. But there was nothing to distinguish it from the PLM in a dozen other Chinese restaurants within the same distance. Primarily because of the lack of warmth from the staff, I don't expect to return to Top's.

Not sure what's going on with this location. Ordered shrimp lo mein today and got shrimp spaghetti.

Small Shrimp Lo Mein (~$6). Pretty good.

Not too much to say other than this is a solid choice for cheap take out Chinese. And it's a mere quarter of a mile off of I-64. I've gotten take out twice and both times have ordered shrimp lo mein. The small portion is just enough and is delish! Plus the price is on par with your standard chain. The people who work here are always friendly. I'll likely come back as it's easy on/off 64, solid take out food, reasonable prices and friendly service.

Quality of the food has gone down substantially. The Top's China in Williamsburg is much better.

Food has been inconsistent. General Tso chicken was overcooked, and very chewy for the second time in a row.

Probably the best Chinese in new Kent but that's not saying much ‍ our order is always correct but the service is lacking.

Panda Garden in New Kent is a hometown staple and a stop we have to make every time we come back…read more No exceptions. A quick call in order gave us just enough time to run into Food Lion for a Ukrop's watermelon, a Richmond area classic for those who know, and then a short walk over to pick up what might be the best takeout in the area. Walking in always feels the same. Warm and familiar. The person at the register was super friendly and the checkout was easy. All around the register were the cutest anime style mystery box collectibles that my niece would have spent her entire paycheck on without blinking. We avoided the temptation and headed out. Everything was packaged individually and still hot and fresh by the time we got home. The beef and broccoli was still one of the best we have had anywhere. Cooked to perfection with a dark sauce so good you would want to buy it separately just to pour over rice. The shrimp egg foo young was cooked well. I am pretty strict when it comes to egg foo young and while the gravy was not as rich and ran a little dark for my liking it was good nonetheless. The fortune cookies were not the freshest in the bag which was a slight disappointment but an easy thing to get over. Sauces were in ample supply and more were available at the register if needed. Forks were tucked in the bag which made it easy to sneak a sample before even getting home. Three of us ate and still had leftovers for the next day. The portions were large and it was so good. Panda Garden is a table worth coming home to every single time.

We got a seat but everyone behind us was waiting for one to free up. I could tell it was busy when we found one of the only parking spots in the far back almost to the mall. What was going on?! I guess summer in Kilmarnock. We usually only go out on weekends in the summer so this was an eye opener. Good for them! The hostess was bizzy as she was also the flight boss for the large number of take outs going on. Once we were seated it seemed that all the frenzy was gone. The place was absolutely a Chinese restaurant and had the perfect decorations of a long established place. I love the NNK because any time I can get crab-whatever I go for it. So of course I ordered the crab wontons. No idea how much crab or krab they contained, but they were kinda tasty. I'm almost always a fried dumpling orderer, but here - I'm going to always change it up from now on. For the main meal, I went with the old staple General Tsao's Chicken because I couldn't decide. Definitely something I'll be changing off of next time. Not because I didn't enjoy it but because I want to try it out. So, was it a fantastic Chinese restaurant. Nope. Was it much better than I was expecting. Absolutely. And since it's my "home turf" I'll be going more often. Heck, I may be one of the hordes of people there next time.
