Let's start with service. We arrived a bit early (10 Mins) for our 6:00 reservation. We were…read moreseated immediately at a table (stage window) we pointed out as desired. Restaurant was approx 10% full. Great start! It's BYOB, we brought a bottle of red and put it on end of the table in plain view of the hostess and others "kids) milling around the reception area. Nobody noticed. We waited 10 mins for waitress (more "mature" than kids) to arrive at our table, introduce herself and offer the usual "Welcome" comments. She stressed "outstanding" steak quality and commented on the chef's pride in steaks. I thought..."hmm, CCH is promoted as a premium steakhouse afterall." We expected a Mortons or Ruth Chris steak/food experience and value. We're not worried about atmosphere (it was good) or pomp. My wife ordered Filet Mignon, ($65) medium rare and it entirely met her expectations. My daughter ordered the braised short ribs. The meat was excellent but the gravy mixed with the meat and mashed potatoes was very, very salty. She picked out the meat and left the potatoes since they were soaked in the too salty gravy. Unfortunately, the gravy made the meat salty too but ate the meat. Too bad...stop adding so much salt to everything! Same for the creamed kale..it was very salty. I ordered the 18oz ribeye, ($68) medium. What a mistake! I expected a marblized steak with "some" fat knowing the cut. I estimate 6+of the 18oz were fat and gristle. Plus, it was overcooked and tough. I've eaten plenty of premium steakhouse steaks of many cuts. This was the worst ever. Outback would have been better value for $25. Sorry guys, this is the truth and delivered constructively to help Tommy and the team learn and grow. Quality, value and positive customer experience are key ingredients to your success and growth. We want you to succeed as we need business to thrive in SIC. I know it's only a couple years after Shoobies, Brightspot and life changes. Please read mine and other reviews to make changes to promote and sustain growth. Best wishes.

Both were very good. entrees were ribeye (not dry aged) and swordfish. Both were very good and portions were generous. we chose sides of asparagus and mashed potatoes, ending with a chocolate mousse pie. Chef/owner Tommy stopped by each table to greet the guests. We enjoyed the experience and will return.

It is BYOB so don't forget your wine.. or even margaritas (that's what we brought this time lol) The place can get crowded so expect to wait a bit during peak season. They don't take reservations but you can put your name in and wait outside their shop or even hang by the dock to the left of their place. The dock is not huge but a nice size and can sit up to groups of 8 easily at some of their tables. They do a full service dinner and includes their Caesar salad and bread with a delicious olive oil sundried tomato dip. The dinners come with 2 sides or 1 side of pasta. My favorite is their crab cakes or any crab stuffed dish. My other favorite if you are feeling hungry is the crab Marie. It's a fettuccine pesto light cream sauce with an abundance of lump crab meat. The seasoning is delicious on all their dishes is amazing. Full of flavor and butter. If you aren't into dining in or waiting get their takeout. It's just as good! And don't forget to grab a loaf of their Italian bread and sharp provolone in there.

I enjoyed our visit to Anthony's. There were some missteps and issues, but all in all it was a…read moregood meal. First, they get busy, so I highly recommend a reservation (they do have a bar but that seemed to fill up quickly). Inside, it's well laid out, plenty of space and tables. It looks great. The service was very good the entire time. We didn't wait on anything and our server always seemed to know when we did need something. They serve a good semolina bread with sesame seeds, the olive oil they bring out has seasoning in it. That's typically not my thing, let the olive oil speak (if it's good) but it worked. For apps, we ordered the fried green tomatoes with lump crab, the stuffed long hots, eggplant parmagiana, and the grande meatball. Meatballs are my favorite; these didn't disappoint. They are large, not tough, and well seasoned. The salad they came with made no sense, but it is what it is. The long hots were stuffed with sausage and had a kick, but that's the fun part about long hots. They were very good. The fried green tomatoes and eggplant were mediocre. Both dishes lacked flavor. For the entree, I ordered the veal chop, and while I'm not sure if there are many other served in SIC (they claim "the best in the city"), this was great. It's old school, but it was cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. I crushed it. There was a side of mixed vegetables and potatoes, which were not good. Undercooked, likely made ahead of time, held and scooped out when needed. A few strange things: they have multiple tomato sauces, and they served two different versions of the sauce on the same pasta at our table. One was chunkier and good, the other was runny and flavorless. Second, they upcharge for any changes...if you want a different pasta noodle with a dish, it was $8 more. While I would understand if they were serving high-end fresh pasta, they're not; it's simply a money grab. But even with those issues, it was good. I'll go back next time I'm there and stick to the veal chop...because that was really good.

It was definitely not the best seat in the house, but hey, we did show up on a busy July evening! We were seated in the back of the house on the 3rd floor. It would have been great to get the ocean side of the building, but I could still see the ocean from the window near our table. FYI- There is an elevator if you cant do stairs. I had wanted to sit outside, but it was the middle of a heat wave so we chose the air-conditioned indoor table. The indoor temperature was perfect! We were greeted right away, and given menus. The service declined from there, but it was not terrible. The server was just not as attentive as I would have preferred and we waited for things we needed on 2 different occasions. We were surprised to find out it is BYOB. The waiter suggested a nearby liquor store where we quickly picked up a bottle of wine. He gets points for this suggestion! They did not charge an uncorking fee, which surprised us. We ordered an appetizer, one of the salad specials, the Branzino and the seared tuna. The presentation of the meals was very pleasing and the food was excellent. It's very pricey, but the food was delicious and the portion sizes were more than adequate considering the type of restaurant it was. I am still giving this a 5 star rating despite the slight annoyance I felt toward the server's lack of attention. Also, to be fair, he could have been having an off night. (I was a server years ago and you just don't crush it every night waiting tables! Life is hard and I watched other servers crushing it with their guests.) I'm very picky about restaurants and enjoyed this upscale dining experience. I would not recommend this for children( as a mom there are limited choices for littles and its more fine dining than a burger joint) but definitely a great establishment to try if you are interested in paying for good food.

Female server finally stopped and apologized because the 3 of us had our meals for at least 10 minutes. We had to finally flag down a male server who was not serving us and told him about the missing Dover Sole. He apologized and disappeared. After the rest of us were all done eating I flagged our original server and told her to forget the meal. The male server brought us 2 desserts and some limoncello to make amends but it was too late. My husband never ate and we definitely won't be back. The original female server never came back again probably because she was embarrassed? Never had such bad service in sea isle. We have been coming down over 30 years and now own a house in Townsend inlet. Will bring our business elsewhere

That seemed strange based on the restaurants on the island. Four course fixed price meal. You select your entrée and your dessert. For our entrées, my wife enjoyed the pasta with clams, although only six clams. I had the spare ribs which were very nice, but the accompanying corn and sauce was cold and it was a bit weird for me to have a cold sauce with hot spareribs. Our server volunteered to us that it was Jersey corn but I highly doubt that given Jersey Corn doesn't come into play until August typically. Dessert was excellent. We both had the lemon pudding creation.
