Very good time here! Beautiful resort and beautiful pool. They give complementary valet parking! They sale food here but I did not try it only their drinks. I ordered the "my best life" and it was really good! The service was good even though they were really busy because it was a concert, but the service was still exceptional! TGIF happy hour cocktails. I've seen pictures of this spot and have had it on my bucket list. I was not disappointed. It's outside past the pool and overlooking the golf course and Pacific Ocean. Those aren't even the highlights of the bar after you look up at the ceiling and see the unbelievable ocean scene being displayed. Came here for the views and drinks. Ordered chips and salsa with guacamole and hummus with bread. The pita bread was nice and soft hummus had capers in it. It was very good. Great value for the food and the views - the environment is definitely a league above the food - not in a negative way, it's actually a great thing you get some high-brow pub grub for a fair price and get the fancy views, ambiance, and service... at times it could've been a bit faster, but this is a great spot to hit for a fancy vibe without breaking the bank. Wow this place is pretty dreamy! The views of Newport in the distance are beautiful and the ocean lcd roof makes the bar a unique experience! Service was five star. Brett was whipping up some great cocktails and was extremely personable. Joseph was also in the bar area and he was so funny. Kept us laughing at the bar even though we went on a Monday when sun was shining and randomly started to rain! They both kept us entertained and we enjoyed our time. The summer sounds pretty epic here so I will definitely come again! Cocktails ranged from $16 and up. My favorite was the ready player rum ($17) definitely had me dreaming of summer! I also loved how the vote for Pedro drink had a nice little kick to it. Chips and salsa are $12. Side note: you don't have to be a hotel guest to enjoy this bar. My first time here and the experience was absolutely incredible! There's no guest parking but valet is free if you dine/drink at the bar. Amazing! Upon arrival, we walked out onto the beautiful pool deck and the views were spectacular. My friends and I came here to celebrate my birthday and the bartender Wesley overheard and made sure to show us an amazing time! His customer service was phenomenal! All four of us girls felt so special with his attention and kindness, from serving us, taking our photos, and checking in on us. Justin was so kind as well, I have dietary restrictions and asked if there was fruit I can munch on and he went out of his way and gave me garnishes of fruits they had for drinks. We were all in dresses and it started to get chilly and Brenmen was super sweet and offered us blankets! The service here was the absolute best and made my Birthday even more special! This bar is so cool! I came during sunset hours & the view was divine with beautiful beach settings & the VERY cool LED screens of an aquarium. The drinks are definitely more on the pricier side but you're paying for the ambiance. I wouldn't say their drinks are amazing or anything but they get the job done! For a pretty packed day the bartenders managed their time efficiently with everyone at the bar. I'd definitely go again! read more

Went during the day on a Sunday and it was a neat bar to see! Drinks were okay and service was okay. For food we got a couple sushi rolls but their menu lacked a little as it was just a poolside menu and there weren't many options or standouts. For drinks my friend and I got an Aperol spritz and she got a mock tail that the bartender made. We had to walk through the hotel and past the pool area to get to this bar, but they accept people that aren't staying at the hotel to experience this bar and will validate the vallet if you ask. The ambiance and sunset are beautiful. I'm surprised they are only open to 7 pm because the Ceiling fish tank screen is beautiful and is best at night. But I'm sure it's a liability thing since the pool is nearby. Great drink menu and the bartenders are on it. French 75 and espresso martini were good. I wish they had a better option for Chardonnay, I only saw one on the list but I'm sure I could have asked to see if they had more options. Afterwards we did go inside and have dinner. Bad service. Im a guest who also paid for food and a drink and they still wouldn't let me use the WiFi. The woman at the bar wouldn't give me the code. The pool waiter later gave it to me but the fact that she told me to call the desk to get it was kinda insulting. I had the dissatisfaction of being served by Laura and Hannah. Some of the worse customer service I've ever experienced. They don't smile. They serve you like they're burdened by your presence. I sat down and said "hi how are you?" like a polite adult human would do and Laura just blew it off and asked what I wanted. When I asked for another drink, Hannah who was right in front of me walked away and went to talk to Laura and her other coworkers waiting around the main bar. I noticed how they would gladly help/greet others who looked or spoke a certain way, but were very rude with me for no reason. Like I was being purposely ignored. I've been served by others here and they are very polite/welcoming. But these two really stood out for their unwelcoming demeanor. Which is why I wrote. If you see them here, leave. Visited Edge pool and Bar last the other day. I've been a SoCal resident for the past 20 years and I'm constantly looking for new places to try. I'm posting this review solely for the service I received. The food was pretty good, and the drinks were cheaper than montage. I enjoyed the spicy tune bites and truffle fries. My Server Liana, displayed some of the best service I have ever experienced on the consumer side of the food and beverage industry. She was so attentive, and had the best attitude. She's going to go very far in life so long as she keeps the hard work up. I wouldn't be surprised to return and be treated by her as the new manager lol. Beautiful place for a weekend brunch, nice ambiance but the food was terrible. I ordered the chips and guacamole first; the guacamole was very tasty although the chips were a little bit stale. I wanted to order the tacos but the the waiter said they were made with flour tortillas and couldn't be replaced for corn, I can't have wheat so I ordered the steak salad instead. It was very bland, it had almost no dressing, the broccoli tasted old and the steak was overcooked and cold. We brought it to the waitress attention and he just brought several mediocre dressings. My friend did order the tacos and when they arrived they were actually made with CORN tortillas. I've had better food at fast food restaurants. Meh! read more

Food was good but a little overpriced in my opinion. I paid $20 for 6 pieces of sushi. The mock tails were great! They don't have a menu for them but the server said she would ask what they could make us. The service was horrible. Our server was friendly but we sat there 10 mins before asking the couple next to us how to get a menu, then when I walked up to the bar the bartender said he saw us sitting there and was just about to come over with menus...ya right. Our drinks and food came out on a pretty good timeline, but we sat there with empty dirty dishes on our table because no one would come around to take them away. Even the table next to us didn't get there dishes taken away for 20 mins after they left and birds started sitting on the table looking for leftovers. I paid with money and asked for change back, it took our server 10 mins to come back to our table with my change because the registers weren't stocked up. Please keep in mind it was busy at all, me and my guest, 2 guests at another table and 5 people at the bar. The views of the golf course and the sunset are great from the bar, and they do validate so you don't have to pay for valet, and you don't have to be a guest at the hotel to eat there.
