Came here for the views and drinks. Ordered chips and salsa with guacamole and hummus with bread. The pita bread was nice and soft hummus had capers in it. It was very good. Guacamole was nice and fresh. Salsa was perfect. Had a nice flavor and not very spicy. The drinks were amazing in that bar of a spec spectacular. The views in the sunset were just as gorgeous as well. Service was quick and friendly.

Such a cool spot! Love the screen above and view of the pool and golf course. During our stay this weekend, we tried the: - curious George (gin & prosecco) - easy peasy (gin) - temple of doom (mezcal) - ice cream man (scotch & aperol) - snow summit (pina colada) - garden state (vodka) Our favorite drink hands down was the ice cream man! Perfect blend. As a tequila/mezcal drinker, never thought I'd enjoy a cocktail with scotch. Such a unique drink!

Wow this place is pretty dreamy! The views of Newport in the distance are beautiful and the ocean lcd roof makes the bar a unique experience! Service was five star. Brett was whipping up some great cocktails and was extremely personable. Joseph was also in the bar area and he was so funny. Kept us laughing at the bar even though we went on a Monday when sun was shining and randomly started to rain! They both kept us entertained and we enjoyed our time. The summer sounds pretty epic here so I will definitely come again! Cocktails ranged from $16 and up. My favorite was the ready player rum ($17) definitely had me dreaming of summer! I also loved how the vote for Pedro drink had a nice little kick to it. Chips and salsa are $12. Side note: you don't have to be a hotel guest to enjoy this bar. If you are lucky enough to snag street parking it is free instead of paying for valet.

Nice pool area with lots of attendants to take care of you. Drinks and Poke bowl were amazing. Kelli was a great server. Music kept the vibes going into the night. Dj had a good playlist on Sunday

My first time here and the experience was absolutely incredible! There's no guest parking but valet is free if you dine/drink at the bar. Amazing! Upon arrival, we walked out onto the beautiful pool deck and the views were spectacular. My friends and I came here to celebrate my birthday and the bartender Wesley overheard and made sure to show us an amazing time! His customer service was phenomenal! All four of us girls felt so special with his attention and kindness, from serving us, taking our photos, and checking in on us. Justin was so kind as well, I have dietary restrictions and asked if there was fruit I can munch on and he went out of his way and gave me garnishes of fruits they had for drinks. We were all in dresses and it started to get chilly and Brenmen was super sweet and offered us blankets! The service here was the absolute best and made my Birthday even more special! It's the act of kindness for me! Thank You Wesley, Justin, & Brenmen! We're definitely coming back cause of y'all!

This bar is so cool! I came during sunset hours & the view was divine with beautiful beach settings & the VERY cool LED screens of an aquarium. The drinks are definitely more on the pricier side but you're paying for the ambiance. I wouldn't say their drinks are amazing or anything but they get the job done! For a pretty packed day the bartenders managed their time efficiently with everyone at the bar. I'd definitely go again!

Went during the day on a Sunday and it was a neat bar to see! Drinks were okay and service was okay. For food we got a couple sushi rolls but their menu lacked a little as it was just a poolside menu and there weren't many options or standouts. For drinks my friend and I got an Aperol spritz and she got a mock tail that the bartender made. We had to walk through the hotel and past the pool area to get to this bar, but they accept people that aren't staying at the hotel to experience this bar and will validate the vallet if you ask. The LED ceiling of the bar was the best part and the grass golf course view! I could see myself coming back here maybe at night!

Ask the Community - Edge Bar

Do uou need to be staying in the hotel to be able to go to the bar?

No, it is open to the public

    Is there dress code?

Not really. The pool area is very casual. You will see individuals that have been at the pool, as well as people that had early dinners and are grabbing a drink before the sun sets. Very casual, come as you are but can also dress up if you are…

The staff who assisted with seating and bringing silverware were also friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our dining experience declined once our order was taken. We ordered the Beets Salad as our starter, followed by the Chicken Piccata and Salmon as our entrées. The salad arrived within about five minutes, but we then waited nearly 40 minutes for our main courses without any acknowledgment or update. When I asked our waitress about the delay, her only response was, "Your order was fired 15 minutes ago." When I asked why it had taken so long, she simply repeated the same statement. At no point did she offer a sincere apology or show any empathy for the extended wait. As someone who has owned and managed businesses, I know that delays can happen. However, a simple apology and proactive communication can make all the difference in how guests perceive the experience. The food itself was excellent, and both entrées were well prepared. Unfortunately, the service continued to disappoint. After we finished our meals, our waitress immediately cleared our plates and brought the check without asking whether we would like dessert, coffee, or anything else to finish our evening. That was surprising and made us feel rushed. I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that every business can have an off night. In this case, however, the issue was not the kitchen delay--it was the lack of communication, empathy, and basic hospitality. Had our waitress simply apologized, kept us informed, or involved a manager, this review likely would not have been necessary. I hope management views this as constructive feedback. Andrea and several other staff members represented the restaurant exceptionally well, but I believe additional customer service training would help ensure that situations like this are handled with greater professionalism and care in the future.

For such a special milestone occasion, we expected our family to be able to enjoy a meal together. Instead, our food came out 45 minutes apart, we were a family that waits for everyone to had their food and by the time everyone had their food our sub par food was cold. That is simply unacceptable. Our server, Patrick, was very good and did his best to take care of our group. The problem was clearly with the kitchen. Food arrived extremely late, some dishes were not prepared as ordered, and overall, the flavors were subpar. The waterfront view is nice, but it does not make up for poor kitchen execution and disappointing food--especially for a special celebration. Skip this place. JOEY Newport Beach, down the street, near fashion island is consistent and offers a far better dining experience.

Nice looking spot with plenty of outdoor seating. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly. So why just 3 stars? The food was just eh. If I had more hours in California I would have made up for the lackluster food by making a trip to HB's Tacos Los Cholos. I had the recommended Enchiladas Suizas. When my plate came out I knew immediately it would be just ok. The enchiladas didn't even look saucy. The refried beans looked (and tasted) like canned beans. The rice was very boring. The tinga chicken, somehow, was dry. My wife had the tostada salad. It was like $26 because of the $10 add on of steak. $26 for the most gringo thing on the menu. Best part of it was the steak, the rest will be repressed from my memory. A friend had the taco trio. $19 for 3 tacos and no sides. That's pretty steep. He didn't even finish the 3 tacos. He had the short rib, al pastor and carnitas. None of them looked very good. I had a pinch of his short rib meat. It tasted like grandma's Sunday pot roast. And just like the tinga chicken it was also dry. My wife's strawberry marg was quite good. The beer menu was very basic. Gotta step it up. When the free chips and salsa, and add on steak are the highlights of the dinner you know that the place needs help.
