This is a N. Austin Cleveland Browns viewing location. They give the Browns Backers the entire back room which includes sound for the game (while a couple other games are video only). Pool tables, dart boards, etc. are a nice distraction and they provide table service for both drinks and food. read more

We came here last night and were overall pleased with our experience. TopSpin advertises themselves as a karaoke and wing bar. I pictured a smoky bar smelling of fried food but that was not the case at all! It is smoke free (except the patio), it is newly remodeled and has a sports bar like atmosphere. The bartender Leo was super friendly and gave us some info on the menu. They have a solid line up of draft beers to include some Texas taps. The wine menu is small. I wish they offered a larger selection of wines and better quality wines by the glass however they do have a few great wines by the bottle. I ordered a glass of Top Spin cabernet, pan seared pork dumplings and edamame. The cabernet was OK. The edamame came out nice and warm with a dusting of spicy goodness. The savory pork dumplings were absolutely delicious! I wanted to eat something light and the combo of the edamame and dumplings worked out perfectly. Jesse ordered the Kobe burger with fries. The Kobe burger was topped with freshly cooked bacon, thick slice of melted cheese and a spicy sauce. I snuck a bite and loved the flavors. The food was great so I was not surprised when I learned the family that owns TopSpin also owns Cedar Park's beloved Local Slice. Leo gave us a taste of their ginger chili infused Patron and wow it was good! The happy hour is daily from 3pm-7pm offering $6 appetizers, 1/2 off wings and discounted margaritas & wells. You'll pull up and see that TopSpin is in a strip center with a Dunkin Donuts and Not Just Mail. Hesitate, roll your eyes, and then go on in!!! Had a great time at Top Spin. No problems parking. Very clean and comfortable inside. Had two very friendly, helpful servers that kept an eye on our group all evening. Watched the NCAA tourney (muchos televisores) until singing started. One lady belted out a killer version of R-E-S-P-E-C-T and a man who's appearance said "intellectual x 2" knocked out a rendition of ACDC's Shoot to Thrill that had everyone cheering. You go singerpeople!!! Decent selection of beers on tap, including some local brews. Beer was cold, in clean glasses (yes clean glasses, you've been there... you know it) and generous pours. I tried their Top Spin Frozen Margarita... at $5.00 with Blood Orange and Grand Marnier...the taste was a "YUM." It was not overly sweet, smooth consistency,beautiful color, and I'll have another please. My friends and I tried the pork dumplings and fish tacos. Both items were good. I especially liked the fish tacos. All of the ingredients looked and tasted fresh, and they had a sort of "cilantro cream" drizzle that gave them a bright extra layer of flavor. Make sure you squeeze the fresh lime wedge over your fish tacos... adds just the right amount of extra zing and moisture. A suggestion to TopSpin if you're interested... yes, you're branded a "Karaoke and Wing Bar," but with all of the creative and upscale choices in and around Austin... might you retire the rectangular paper containers and plastic forks for food service? I love a place with good queso, so I love this place. We ordered chips and queso and it was so good I spread some on top of my buffalo wings. The wings were very good. Perfectly cooked and tasty. We also ordered the chicken avacado wrap and my lady was quite happy with it. At first I liked the look of the place, though the smaller size was unexpected. The prices seemed steep but after receiving the food it was a little more obvious why; the portion sizes were pretty damn good (of food, not drinks). The only downfalls of the place in my mind were the drinks. Super expensive for such a small sized mixed drink. I ended with just soda after a drink and it too was small, which was fine until they told me only one free refill. Seriously? That's insane. Wanted somewhere to watch the NCAA Men's National Championship but needed a place that was close-by and wouldn't be too loud. It was a Monday night and until 10 PM, there were probably only 10 other patrons inside and about half of those people were at the bar. That left an assortment of high top tables for us to choose from, which helped with our group of 7. The space was much larger than I expected. I didn't go to the outside area but it looked to be a decent size. When I was walking up to the building I could hear the game, so I assume they had a TV or 2 out there. In the main area, there was a large projector screen with the game, and the bar had several TVs. In one corner was the DJ booth and opposite it, next to the projector screen, was the karaoke stage (the large lyrics screen is diagonally across the bar facing it). At 9:45 PM the DJ told us we could move to the next room to watch the game without being serenaded, so we moved over. There were only a few tables in the next room in order to leave space for all the games (darts, pool, arcade), another projector screen, and I think another couple of TVs. We could hear the karaoke from the next room but only as much as you would normally hear background music at a bar. More people seemed to show up after 10 but there weren't a ton of people so there was a decent amount of just normal music playing in between people singing. This seems more like a sports bar to me, so we appreciated that they held off on the karaoke but I'm not sure how they communicate that to patrons who are coming for the karaoke (which is what I assume is the reason more people showed up). There was a waitress but she disappeared at some point and then one of the bartenders was taking care of us. This was fine once we knew that, but someone should have come by and told us or re-iterated it while picking up our empty glasses, if we all missed the memo the first time. They were both perfectly nice though. The beer selection was pretty lame. I get it's a suburban sports bar, but even the nearby sandwich shop has a better variety of local craft beers. The other reviews made me hesitant of the food, especially with those prices, but I think the "Top Spin Trio" was a great deal - for $10.50 you get to pick 3 items from a list. I got a set of 3 mozzarella sticks, pile of loaded skinny fries, and 3 wings. It was good, but nothing special. We might be coming back, but the prices for the lack of a deserving menu ($11.50 for an OK looking burger and some skinny fries?? $9 for the chili martini??) is definitely a deterrent. Would give 3.5 if I could but rounding up because of the potential of the place. read more

Hands down the best wings in town. And trust me, I've looked at them all. I spent a good part of my time on this earth near the Buffalo area (I know, forgive me, I love Texas the verrrry best!) so I am choosy about my wing places. The Chili Martini is surprisingly good. You have to be here by 8 o'clock on a Saturday if you want to sing at all. Maybe regulars are here leaving rave reviews, but every time I've been here with huge groups of people relatively early drinking heavy and tipping well, no one gets to sing. We've been here as early as 10 o'clock and been given a 2 hour wait time and not been able to sing, while watching the Dj let his friends or "favorites" go multiple times. For the owner and staff manager - We came to check out TopSpin on Tuesday, July 3rd around 7 pm. While you have a great bartender, with tremendous multi-tasking skills - you had ONLY HER managing a full bar and the dining area. There were nearly 30 people in the bar and seating area not to mention outside. There's only so much one person can do. It's not safe, and it's also bad for customers because wait times are long because you have one person trying to manage the bar and the dining area - not to mention she also tried to bus tables in between trying to get receipts for tables, cash people out at the bar, pour drinks, and run the food to the tables. It causes a bad customer experience, due to understaffing at peak times. It also hurts the business because if you had even 1 more person covering the floor, they'd be able to help get refills on drinks, ask for any other items - which means more money for the business (and higher overall tip for whoever is serving). When we came in, we found ourselves a seat. We waited and looked around to notice no other workers in the dining area or bar. Other people already looked upset as if they'd been waiting either for a check or food. We went up to the bar to ask where to order and she said the bar was taking all orders. We ordered. No one brought the food to our table, the cook brought it out and it was left on the side of the bar. We then went to the bar to go get our food and bring it to our table before it got cold. The food was good (very good wings and queso), but again the overall experience was bad. The people near us waited at the bar for nearly 15 minutes trying to get help to cash them out. We waited about 10 min to get ours cashed out. The bartender apologized and said she appreciated our patience. I felt so bad for the bartender at this establishment. If the owner or bar manager control staffing, please hire more employees for your dining room/bar. read more

Let me start off by saying this is a bar and because of that its typically not suitable for kids! I didn't realize this and decided to take kids for wings. They let us eat despite it being over 21 and I'm thankful they did. Appetizers were decent but nothing to write home about. Cheese fries were pretty good. Quesadillas ok! The wings though! Fantastic! They were huge and delicious! 10 wings for $11 seems a bit expensive but given the size they were worth it! Come before 7pm and they are 1/2 price! I did order one drink called the antidepressant for $10! Most expensive drink on the menu and pretty tasty! Server was all smiles despite trying to serve 15 other people in the bar. I love having a karaoke place like this in the neighborhood. They serve cheap, strong drinks, surprisingly good bar food and have a lovely patio. I also enjoy their large selection of songs. My only true gripe is that the music is SO LOUD it borders on audial punishment. If they could just turn the volume down a bit so others could have a semi-decent conversation AND listen to the performances, we'd all enjoy TopSpin even more. read more

Invaded during a couples shower event when us He-Men finally had to bail and find a sports bar and catch some games, eat some pub food and wet our whistles. This place was a good location and easy to find though little challenging to get too based on the parking lot and street entrances. End of a small strip center with a small outside patio. Inside its just the right amount of dark to allow good TV viewing with mostly high pub tables. We pulled several together to accommodate our group of 10. It was not as busy as I would think for a Saturday in fall and the bartender ended up waiting on us. She was quick with drinks even if a little overwhelmed handling a large group as well as the bar. Food was good. Nachos and wings were big winners along with mozzarella sticks. Good value as draft was on special and not bad for harder cocktails. read more

For a neighborhood bar, Top Spin provides a nice atmosphere, friendly staff with a good beer selection and a full bar. They offer food but I came here for the brew, and to laugh at the American Idol rejects, present company included. The KJ, karaoke Jock, has a good singing voice but not too much personality or audience interaction, but she new how to shuttle people on and off the stage. The only negative thing I would say about this place is the neon beer signs hanging on the wall. I'll never understand the reason to still use those dated signs. read more

I didn't want to have to write this review but felt in order for management to receive better training it was necessary. Looking forward to see what changes/training is done to ensure management can handle situations effectively. So i had a group of friends join me and a couple from out of town to watch the Tyson vs Jones fight and all was well and then there were what looked to be underaged girls pigeoning the bar for drinks and some of the people in our party bought them drinks and later that night cops were outside near my vehicle I asked the people around the area what was going on and they told me it was none of my F"n business while things were happening near my brand new car I shortly started hearing from a woman claiming to be the manager of the bar named Danny rivers or at least that's what she called herself and proceeded to tell me to leave the premises. Obviously trying to avoid any issues and to make the LEO's jobs easier I left but did inform the manager I would be leaving a review of how poorly handled the entire situation was. I had been coming to this establishment for about 3 yrs steady and this was not the first time these girls had caused problems to begin with but only the first time they cried foul. Decor and set up inside is very nice. Overall, seems likely me a fun place to hang out and have drinks and sing/listen to karaoke. Hot wings were really tasty. Fried crispy with a good coating of sauce. This was best part of meal. Kobe beef burger was a disappointment. I figured that if you're selling Kobe beef, you are probably buying it fresh and hand forming the patties and cooking to a lovely medium. No. These are thin, pre-formed, frozen patties that are cooked way too long. Nothing was juicy about the burger. Couldn't even tell the beef was Kobe. Sad. French Fries were also of the frozen variety rather than hand cut. They were ok though, not horrible. But could have been salted. There was no salt at all on fries. But really, no big deal. I just prefer hand cut fresh fries. Beer selection is pretty limited. I think the could increase the craft beer choices and I'd definitely come back. Overall, not a bad place, they're just not doing anything too special with the food. Typical processed bar food. Would have loved to see a place in Cedar Park at least do fresh food, especially because of the concept of a karaoke bar/restaurant. I still give 4 stars because it seems like a fun place to go. Bartenders are great too and will make fantastic drinks, but I ate here a half dozen times, from burgers (mouthwatering) to plain appetizers, but if you have a request, on the food, the chef (cook) will definitely step up and give you his full attention, which will have amazing results!
