Best sushi I've ever had, highly recommended the Pink Lady and Ocean rolls, vv good service. I made my friends drive this route specifically so I could take them to this Sushi place.

Salad & miso starters, plus plum wine.

I've been to Tora a couple times over the last few years. I was just reminded how lovely the food here is. Having spent many years in Japan, I found the food here to be rather authentic. What a gem! I could not believe that the owners were not Japanese! The dressing on the salad is perfect, as is the miso. I had a plum wine- it was very sweet, but yummy to sip throughout dinner. The tonkatsu (pork cutlet) is delicious. (Ask for an extra side of sauce!) The sushi & sashimi options are tasty and the options are plentiful. The kids meals are also great, with a lot of options!

A decent sushi place to check out in Astoria. The service was good and the atmosphere felt good. The only concerning thing was a bug in our soy sauce, However, the sushi was good.

Philadelphia and something with tempura asparagus and toro

Yummy sushi, quick service, easy going vibe. They also have a sushi bar you can sit at, and watch them make your food.

CA roll and a Specialty roll. Great!

Update: 6/26/23. I need to update my review of Tora Sushi lounge. While I'd like to give them 4 stars, I'm sticking with 3. The disparity in different service levels and attention to detail is a problem. The Pros: Jordanna (spelling) is an excellent server! And the food - when I've eaten in person - is great. The Cons: The accuracy of takeout orders is random. Last night, I ordered $51 of food. I didn't check the order before I left. When I arrived at home in Long Beach, my wife's Tempura Vegetables were nowhere to be found! Great. I'm not driving back to get the missed order. And a phone call to complain was almost useless - no one seemed to be able to comprehend that I didn't get part of my order - the 3 people I spoke to kept thinking I wanted to place a new order. Ugh!

Great location and very nice ambiance!! Our food was so fresh and amazing. A very full menu and so much to try. We had the fried tofu, Pink Lady roll and shared a 3 entree bento dinner. I would have given 5 stars but our server was lacking in customer service and seemed to hate his job. He barely made eye contact and seemed bothered by us. Our tip reflected his lack of service unfortunately.

I arrived at 8:50 pm , they told me that was to late , they supposed to be open till 10:00 pm I can't understand their schedule, is Friday night

We came in at 12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and were seated right away. Their menu is HUGE! I ordered the lunch special with two types of rolls. Pink lady roll-this was eel and imitation crab in a sweet sauce. Salmon avocado roll-simple, but excellent quality and refreshing. Our food came with a small bowl of miso soup to warm us up from the cold weather outside! We loved the decor and were very comfortable.

I was very happy with lunch at Tora Sushi Lounge. I got the pick 3 and had left overs for later. I picked the spicy tuna roll, California roll and the tempura mixed. I was super happy with everything. Service was also great friendly staff very helpful.

We had hoped to arrive when they open at noon but had to circle a bit to find parking so arrived closer to 12:25. It's a small place with just a few tables so by then it was a 30 minute wait. So we poked around town and got back around 12:50 and they were just calling our name. The menu sports all things seafood from fish tacos and fish and chips to ceviche and barn mi to crab cakes, crab cocktails and much more. We opted to share an order of the crispy pink shrimp and crab cakes (2 per order) followed by the unique fry bread topped with fresh Dungeness crab. Amazingly delicious! And so different. Would definitely recommend both items. It's a great spot for fresh seafood but try to get there early. At 1 when we were seated the wait had stretched to 90 minutes. Also they aren't able to accommodate group over six and are best suited to 2-4 people. If you are anywhere near-this place is a must.

Because we were driving through on our road trip, we decided to make a stop here for a late lunch this last Tuesday afternoon, around 2:15 pm. After we parked, we walked inside and headed towards the salad bar/ hot bar food area. After looking around (there is also a counter that you can order made to order sandwiches and burritos), I ended up deciding to purchase the following: Peanut Chicken Sesame Noodle Salad, $8.99- This was quite a massive portion so I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it and then had the rest over the next few days (I ended up mixing it with some chopped cucumbers and tomatoes that I had to make a large salad). I loved the peanut sesame dressing and noodles in this salad but wished there was more chicken. Mayak Egg Noodle Bowl, $8.99- My husband picked this salad for himself but I didn't have any. He thought it was good and appreciated something fresh, as his bowl had shredded cabbage, like my salad, and cucumbers and shredded carrots. Pumpkin Pie, $6.99- My husband saw this small pumpkin pie and decided to get it because he is such a big fan of it. I actually don't like pumpkin as much as when I was much younger. But I did like this pie and thought the flavors were well balanced, not too overly sweet. ---------------------------------------- (Total= $24.97) I really appreciated that the little dining area (there is also an outdoor dining area as well but because it had rained previously, we opted to sit inside) had plastic bowls and plates available for you to put your food in. This was helpful for me to be able to thoroughly mix my noodle salad since the dressing was mostly on the bottom. Then after I mixed it, I just put it back in the plastic container and only left about 1/3 of the salad in my bowl to eat. If I lived in this area, I would definitely be a regularly of this market (specifically for the prepared food area).

From start to finish (appetizer-entry-desert) had so much flavor that each and every bite was an explosion of perfectly seasoned and melded flavors. We had the crab cheese dip, house bread and prosciutto wrapped asparagus for our appetizers, my husband had the Ribeye steak and I had the King Salmon. His large steak was cooked to perfection and the flavors involved in the King Salmon concoction left my tastebuds in awe - seriously BRAVO! With no room left in our bellies we of course ordered the strawberry-rhubarb cobbler and pear margarita sorbet. Both were absolutely to die for.
