We had just filled up and were good on road snacks, but we still swung by and of course found something to get. This location is a tad smaller than other locations, especially in the gas pump area Still large compared to your standard stores, but smaller compared to other Buc-ees locations. We got to experience the ole "brisket on the board" as soon as we walked in, and of course, we decided to scoop up a few sammies to eat when we reached out hotel. It was the perfect welcome snack for us! Outside of the brisket, we went ahead and scooped up hotel room snacks and drinks. We planned on doing that at a store near the hotel, but when in Rome... Inside to outside was well kept and clean, and of course the service was stellar! Overall, solid Buc-ees location!

There's a reason why I skip over so many gas stations and convenience stores along the highway to pick a Love's and this one is a great example of why. Clean parking area with room specific for RV's. Easy access pumps with a high roof and the long squeegee sticks so I can clean my entire windshield. A free ten cent per gallon discount on gasoline that makes them the least expensive fuel in the area. Inside, a "Welcome to Love's" from the young man behind the register. Tons of snacks and coolers to choose from. Restrooms that are actually clean. Overall, super positive and I'll continue to patronize Love's. Terrible. Horrible experience…read more I came here to get some cheap gas, but I was completely disappointed. As I was pumping gas, all of a sudden, the nozzle started shooting gasoline all over me. There was no stop warning! I was soaked in fuel. That has NEVER happened to me and I have pumped gas hundreds of times. I went to the bathroom to clean up, but guess what, there was no toilet paper! To top it all off, the restroom was disgustingly dirty. Never again. You are much better off not stopping here!

I didn't want to drive Hwy 49 ALL the way back to Hwy 280, and when I saw the neon OPEN sign in the window at Store 34. I pulled in - I knew they had pizza, and I was happy to support a local business. I parked, walked to the door, and tried to open it - but it was locked. "That sucks," I thought, "I guess she forgot to turn off the sign." I returned to my car. 2 doors down, I saw a woman exit the Lake Martin Pizza Co. holding a cardboard box. "Terrific! I can support another local business," I thought. I looked at the door and saw that on Wednesdays they're open until 9pm - great! Since it was only 8:22 pm, I wasn't coming in at the last minute! I walked in and was told by the smiling young lady at the counter "We closed at 8:00 - sorry!" On my way out, I looked at the hours on the door - yep - open till 9:00. So, I drove all the way out Hwy 49 to 280 and crossed it to the Subway at 17957 Highway 280 Ste C. I walked in, and I was greeted warmly by the person working the counter. He custom-made my sandwich, I paid a fair price, and I drove all the way back to Stillwaters. When I passed Store 34 and Lake Martin Pizza company, they both looked visibly closed from Hwy 49. It was 8:41 pm. So - among these three establishments, I recommend the Subway. They do what they promise. I like to support local businesses - but I also like a good meal after a long day.
