I was interested in leasing a small SUV after test driving the Trax asked what I could expect to pay monthly on a lease. He quoted a number without asking what I was putting down or what my credit score was which I found surprising. When I got up to leave the shady manager followed us out and said "come back and talk" I told him you already told me you couldn't possibly do better so no point! They are shady and unprofessional. However the service department is so bad it would be funny if it wasn't my fully loaded 2ss camaro being the bad end of the joke. Most recently I visited because of my interior having multiple bad rattles. I pointed out that this is factory sound system and that the rattles occur at half volume 3/4 bass. The dealership excitedly told me that they had simply turned down the bass and that the problem was solved. Additionally my seat needs to be replaced and my infotainment system likes to freeze. It's been about a month since i visited the dealership during which nothing was done except for a promise to call me back. Still no call back and I have left messages

Due to ongoing disagreements over warranties, pricing, and repairs, the deal was not finalized until March 22, 2026. Since taking delivery, we have continued to fight for repairs. The dealership only agreed to address two tires, despite an official Tesla inspection confirming all four tires had poor tread and needed attention. We were informed the vehicle had only a light accident with no damage, yet upon delivery we observed a scratch in the wrap. When we attempted to negotiate based on this, our concerns were dismissed. We also asked about warranty options and were told only one package was available. After doing our own research, we discovered the provider offers multiple coverage options, which were not disclosed to us--leaving us feeling pressured into accepting what was presented. Now, with our first payment due April 22, we have no fully executed final documents--only draft/review copies. Over the past week and a half, we have made multiple attempts to contact the dealership, but our calls have gone unanswered, sent to voicemail, or we were told we would receive a callback--which never happened. We have informed the dealership that we intend to return the vehicle, but at this point, it feels like communication is being delayed or avoided to run out the clock. To add to our disappointment, we have since found a 2025 Tesla with the same options, lower mileage, and a lower price than what we are currently paying. We will be uploading photos of the tire condition and the damage referenced above.

This is an honest review for Legacy Automotive in Old Bridge, New Jersey. I have recently purchased…read morea vehicle from this dealership in the past few months and this is my personal experience. If I had to purchase another car from them in the future, I would not. I was looking for a particular vehicle which Legacy advertised online. I stopped by the dealership to inspect, and test drive the vehicle. I was only allowed to drive the vehicle on the back roads behind the dealership. They said they don't have dealership plates for me to take it out on the highway. I was like "wow", it seems strange that a car dealership does not plates to allow customers to test drive their cars "that's crazy to me". After I came back from the short test drive we started to talk about the price for the vehicle. To my surprise I was hit with a PVP fee on top of the price of the vehicle plus the standard tax, doc, and DMV fees. This PVP fee was $2695 for the dealership getting the car ready for sale that they had explained to me. This includes a hundred point something inspection of the vehicle. Please read on from what I found after I purchased the vehicle that make it seems like a joke. Even after the bogus PVP fee they tried to tack on the purchase price, I negotiated the fee down and did agree to buy the vehicle. It took a few back and forth and we finally agreed on the selling price. I left a deposit and would come back to pick up the vehicle a few days later. When I came back to pick up the vehicle it was ready that time that I had scheduled, and I was out of there within an hour. Quick advice if you have a bank cashiers check ready the closing would go quicker because you don't have to sign additional paperwork. I came home and inspected the vehicle a bit closer because I am mechanically incline and knew what to look for. Now you remember the PVP dealer prep fee that I was supposedly getting charged? Upon further inspection I found out that these people did not even do the things they had mentioned. First the coolant level in the reservoir was empty. The car could have overheated if I was driving longer. Second, the brake fluid was at the minimum line, and they did not top off the fluids. Third, my TPMS light was on during the test drive, and I thought they would fill air in my tires. I had to go fill in the air myself and luckily it was just air and not the sensors. What happened to the inspection that was supposedly done at the dealership? Guess what? It was never done and proof that their fee is another way they try to scam people to get more money. I wouldn't mind paying for the fee if the work was actually done and now, we know that it was bogus. Please beware of this fee. Here's the next issue, if you are in New Jersey you are given a 30 day temporary plate. During the last week that the plates was going to expire, I called the dealership asking when should get my permanent plates. They just kept telling me its processing and will call me when it's done. After my initial temporary plates expired I called them back and asked if they can get me new temporary plates. The answer was "no" I can not get new temp tags. I asked them if I get pulled over by the police what do I tell them? The rep said the dealership will pay for the ticket. Again strange to me that instead of giving me new temp plates they will pay for my traffic ticket? After 6 weeks my purchasing the vehicle I finally got my permanent plates. This is after all the phone calls and them avoiding me. Someone actually put me on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up on me. This is bad business practice for anyone to do that to their customers. On a side note, I did not drive the car for two weeks because I was afraid of getting pulled over by law enforcement. I actually did the dealership a favor by not risk driving with expired plates. Luckily, I had another vehicle to drive in the meantime. Other customers who does not have a second vehicle will run the risk of being stopped by police. Overall, I liked my vehicle but not like the purchase process. Funny they advertised their service department can service all type of cars and needless to say I won't be bringing it in for service. From the bogus extra dealership prep fees to the long time it took to get my new permanent plates I would not come back to purchase another car from them. Even if the price is good, they will hit you with the bogus inspection fee that they do not perform on the vehicle. There are other people on these reviews who also went through the same experience. The dealership might say this is an isolated incident, but others posted similar experiences if you guys do your research. Buyers Beware is my advice.

Payless auto sales aka Trophy Auto Lounge : This dealership's pricing practices are extremely…read moremisleading and designed to lure customers into predatory financing. The vehicle I looked at was advertised online for $11,298, but once I arrived things changed quickly. The out-the-door price for a cash purchase jumped to over $18,500. The reason? The advertised price only applies if you agree to finance through the dealership under their terms. If you want to pay cash, they start piling on non-sense add-ons and fees such as transport charges, warranty packages, and even something called a "finance coupon recovery" fee. These are essentially penalties for not financing the vehicle through them. When I declined all the unnecessary extras and said I was only willing to pay the vehicle price plus legitimate costs like sales tax, title, registration, and their already outrageous $995 doc fee, the total came to about $13,480. Instead of working with this honest price structure (which they argue is their website disclaimer), they came back and said they would "meet me in the middle" at $15,000. That tells you everything you need to know. The advertised price is not a real selling price -- it's simply bait to get customers into the dealership so they can pressure them into high-profit financing agreements where they likely make money from lender kickbacks and inflated interest rates or when paying cash attempt to pad their pockets additional profit charges. Make sure you read the fine print on their website carefully before wasting your time. This dealership advertises artificially low prices that are simply a get you in the door advertisement and have no intention of selling any vehicle at the price unless they can rob you somewhere else during the purchase. Transparency and honesty matter when buying a car, and unfortunately, I did not find either here. Finance Coupon was the funniest additional charge I have come across in a while. This dealership appears to be engaging in the exact type of deceptive pricing practices the FTC recently warned 97 auto dealership groups about. The advertised vehicle prices seem to apply only if customers agree to use the dealership's financing, while cash buyers are suddenly hit with inflated pricing, unnecessary add-ons, transport fees, warranty charges, or other questionable costs. The FTC has made it clear that advertised vehicle prices must reflect the true "all-in" price available to all consumers, excluding only government taxes and title fees -- not conditional financing incentives designed to push buyers into high-interest loans. Advertising artificially low prices to lure customers in, only to change the terms based on financing, is misleading and undermines consumer trust. Unfortunately, they specifically want uneducated consumers to purchase from them. The sales staff was nice but are unfortunately the face of the ownerships deceitful practices. It took a lot of restraint on my part not to interfere with the customers next to me who were getting robbed and had no idea.
