The order didn't take long for freshly prepared food. We received our food with all the sauces and condiments on the side and enjoyed on our long drive home. The staff was helpful to customers who didn't know what to order and the gentleman who brought our food from the kitchen had a pleasant demeanor. The taco meat didn't even resemble human food more like meat that should have gone into the garbage. we have dined at Torchys multiple times but have never experienced this in the past. We called to express our dismay, was told we would be credited, we have called every day to find out when we will be credited but it's been over a week & the credit still has not been applied. Really need a better pick up situation. No need to put an order to go, as long as it takes you to actually get your food your better off just ordering to go while your there. You have to wait behind people who haven't even ordered, and then have to wait for people to grab the phone before you get your to go order. I get maybe it's busy on a Tuesday night, but as least have a pick up shelf or someone designated to helping the pick up orders. Also, costumer service is non-existent. read more

I also enjoy Taco Deli very much, but sometimes I can't always make my way to there before 3. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu so pick which ones you like. I usually always get the egg, cheese, and chorizo taco on flour. I've noticed that the tacos are more on the oily side compared to Taco Deli, but hey, it's still bomb. It does get pretty crowded here towards the end of the week so call ahead and order if you don't want to wait too long. It's in a good area and there's plenty of parking. Customer service is always fantastic here so definitely recommend a try. Plus I hear they have a secret menu so that intriguing. Really disappointing. Just moved to Austin a few months ago, Relatives have been telling me how good this place is. The menu looked awesome! Tried it yesterday and the experience was not great. The Democrat comes with shredded beef barbacoa, avocado, queso fresco, cilantro, onions, lime and tomatillo sauce all on a corn tortilla. This was SO GOOD! The amount of food you get for a mere $4.25 is mind boggling! The ingredients were fresh and the beef was flavorful, I really liked the sauce too... just the right amount of spice. The Republican ($3.50) comes with a grilled jalapeno sausage, shredded cheese, pico de gallo and poblano sauce on a flour tortilla. The Republican was decent, but the sausage and pico de gallo didn't really mesh well. The Chips & Guacamole came with a HUGE side of guacamole! Plenty to share among for people. The Street Corn had so much flavor. They really packed in the cheese on top of the street corn so make sure you mix up the bowl before taking a bite :) I love, love, loveeee Torchy's Tacos! We ordered the chips and guac, which may have been lacking a little citrus but overall very delicious. For entrees, the hubs ordered a steak burrito and for me a trio of tacos. It is always on my to-do list, and it never fails. If I ever leave my current job, I will look to open up a Torchy's Tacos location in Northern California to blow away all of the other taco shops here. I've been to Torchy's 3 times, and the first time I went (months ago), I went with one of my co-workers, who told me that I need to order from the "secret menu". Here are my recommendations: 1. The Matador - this is easily my favorite taco there. It has chopped brisket, pickled onions, avocado, and grilled jalapeños. There is a crisp corn tortilla that give it good texture, and in epic Texas fashion, there is a flour tortilla on the outside as well to give the soft texture contrast. EPIC. 2. The Hillbilly - There is a fried chicken tender with chorizo in this one!!! What the heck?! Yeah. There is also chopped bacon, green chiles, pico de gallo, and poblano ranch. Amazing name for a taco, exceeded by its amazing taste. 3. The Mad Cow - This one has skirt steak with black beans, corn, and chipotle ranch. Holy freaking cow!! The tacos here are not overpriced like they are in California. Each of these tacos is like $3.50-$4.50, and they are humongous!!! I recommend ordering 2 total tacos, 3 if you are super hungry. If you eat 3, you will probably get food coma'ed. The other nice complementary dish to get is their queso. You can get their queso with guac in it, or with chorizo. WOW - freaking unreal. I highly recommend everyone try Torchy's Tacos. I believe they have locations throughout many metro cities in Texas, but I have only been to the ones in Austin. Food is good but delivery service is terrible. Out of the 5 times we have ordered there has been something missing every time. Especially bad with chips and drinks. Initially we thought the problem was Door Dash so tried ordering directly through the Torchy's app and got the same result. Refunding us for missing items doesn't cut it as we can't eat a refund for dinner. I mean, Dominos is 99% consistent with their delivery. Tried this place on a recent visit to Austin. It's a fast casual TexMex chain. Got a "Trashy Trailer park Taco (fried chicken strip taco)" and a Chicken Fajita taco. Also got a side of chips and queso. Food quality is very good. I tried the tacos with Diablo sauce which is a little spicy. The tacos are large and two will fill you up.
