Damn Good Tacos! Went here with a group of buddies over Labor Day weekend since we were craving some tacos and was not disappointed. Got myself the Baja Shrimp Taco, Green Chili Pork Taco and Democrat Taco - all of which were exceptional. Baja Shrimp - Fried Shrimp, Cooked Cabbage Slaw, Picked Onions & Jalapeños, Cotija Cheese, Cilantro & A Lime Wedge, topped off with Chipotle Sauce on a Corn Tortilla. This was my absolute favorite out of the three that I got! Green Chili Pork - Pork Carnitas, Green Chilies, Cotija Cheese, Cilantro, Onions & A Lime Wedge, topped of with Tomatillo Sauce on a Corn Tortilla. This was super flavorful. Democrat - Barbacoa, Avocado, Cotija Cheese, Cilantro, Onions & Lime Wedge, topped off with Tomatillo Sauce on a Corn Tortilla. Very similar to the Green Chili Pork, only real difference is the meat. Service was top notch and the staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend coming here if you're in Denver! read more

I've been to other Torchy's locations before, but this was my first time at this Denver location. There is a parking lot which is nice. The service was just OK, and the food was not great - it was served very sloppily, and everything I ordered was cold. After Stranahan's Whiskey visit, munchies became irrefutable, so we decided to address them. My friends decided on Torchy's Tacos and were pretty perplexed that I have never had them. When it comes to Mexican cuisine, I look for the most authentic restaurants, which explains why I've never been. It may also explain why I might not go back, let me explain. The parking at this location can be tricky with only a few spaces in the designated parking lot. Srreet parking is a secondary option. The ordering process is simple, and there's plenty of special taco creations to choose from. I went with Mr. Pink and Crossroads Tacos, it was plenty of food even for someone with munchies. The Crossroads taco was pretty tasty, but Mr. Pink wasn't pink at all. The Ahi Tuna was severely over cooked, lost all of its color and was very dry. Munchies prevailed and not wanting to wait for another, I finished it without indulging. In my opinion, the menu has too much theme and unnecessary creativity for something that was already authentically tasty. I would dine here again, but it's not a place I must routinely visit. I was in town and wanted some tacos came across their website and looked very decent. The food is good I have to give them that much, but I was very very disappointed in the size of their tacos, they were so small It looked like it was food for a cat not a human. I got two water bottles and two Coca-Cola's with a side order of salsa and my order came up to $60 and change , when I called and spoke to the manager Brad He told me that there's nothing he can do because I ordered it online and I will have to call Uber eats to discuss the prices with them now who in the world calls Uber eats about the prices of the restaurant so this guy had no idea what he was talking about. so unfortunately I have to give them a 2 stars!!!!!! read more

My fiancé and I sat at the bar and it felt like the biggest inconvenience to the bartender. Anything we asked seemed like we were annoying her by speaking. Then when our food came. Crickets. Crickets. Never asked how we were. If we wanted more to drink. And I found this lovely piece of plastic in my taco. Couldn't get their attention enough to tell them about said plastic. The Trailer Park Taco is fantastic! Great combination of flavors and textures. Love that this place has free, off street parking. Masks are required to enter and table service is limited to the bar. Unfortunately, the limited seats at the bar fill up quickly. So, you have to order food & drinks at the kiosk and your order is brought to your table. This is the worst torchys experience I've ever had. The food was awful, cold, and I had shrimp shells in my tacos. The chips were stale. As a Texan living in Colorado, I know what to expect at torchys and this location fell short. The music was insanely loud, like club status loud. Even the employee taking our order said she leaves with her 'ears ringing every night'. Tried a variety of tacos. Went in with guarded expectations, which were just about met. Tortillas were mediocre and the combinations don't really fly at all. Likely more appropriate for a drunchy experience. One of the pork tacos was absurdly dry. The others were edible and a decent size, so at least we were full at the end. Decent for a general fast food experience, but cannot be described as "good" tacos in any way, shape, or form. Waiter spilled my water all over the table and did not even offer to refill the cup. read more

Ordered carryout Hampden Ave Denver. It was late. Not one seemed to want to help until 15 min after it was supposed to be ready when a manager came up. She went back to the kitchen and came right out with it. Weird thing, the food was cold, not room temp, but cold like out of a refrigerator. Even cold the tacos were ok, probably would have been great hot. Lastly they sent a "tell us how we're doing" email. I told them, they didn't care. My Second time visiting this Torchy's location (tried in this time last year- 2017). Kind of a cool place. One side the have a normal restaurant, where you order/pay for your food, find a seat then they bring it out to you (if you dine in). On the other side they have a full bar and more tables. They have black toilets. On to the important stuff: Food! I ordered 2 of the "Trailer Park" tacos "trashed". I had this taco previously as well, they are really good, if you like chicken tacos. I got avocado sauce on the side, which was good. Tacos are filled with meat and toppings making them very filling. The street corn here comes in a cup, which is great and easier to eat with all the toppings. The corn was a little hard (overcooked) so I didn't really care for it. The Mexican rice was okay, nothing special. Probably won't order it again. They have breakfast tacos which I haven't tried yet but they look really good. Overall they have a lot to offer. Not really authentic Mexican food but it's decent. The fountain drinks are Maine Root (I'm so used to only having Coke or Pepsi in Minnesota), they have a really good pink hibiscus soda. I like the decor and chill vide they have going on. They have their own private parking lot which is nice because its in a busy area. I have to go here at least one time every time I visit Denver. read more

A limited review for the takeout process. They have divided the restaurant so if you're picking up or placing a takeout order you need to be on the south side of the parking lot at an outdoor window area. There's a bunch of confusing signage if you approach from the north and some tape, that will (somewhat) direct you around the building. We placed a carry out order last Saturday and were quoted a 15 minute wait. That was true to form. When I gave the buzzer to the guy working the cashier he strangely asked me if it was ready, to which I was like, well it was buzzing. He returned with a bag and asked if I was "number 6"...Ummm...(There was a number on the receipt, so I had no idea). But I looked at the tag stapled to the bag and it was in fact our order, so we took off. Once home, it was hard to decipher which tacos were which--some were labeled, some were not. After getting organized, we discovered of our order of 8 tacos, we had only received 6 of what was ordered. We did, however, end up with 12 tacos overall...? No idea what was going on in the kitchen that resulted in that. The tacos were pretty meh. Some of that was because they weren't sauced accordingly (we had a bunch of side sauces we only discovered later--wasn't entirely sure what belonged to what though). It seems probable the tacos don't travel (even brief distances) well. Who knows. But the queso is still amazing either way. So check your order before leaving, and get some queso. read more

I so wanted to like this place. Living in the neighborhood it would have been a nice regular hangout. Went there at about 5:30 p.m. last week Monday. It wasn't busy. Ordering at the counter was easy. As vegetarians there are a few options, which is nice. I ordered two Migas breakfast tacos. My husband ordered a Veggie Grande Burrito. So far so good, then downhill from there. The table we selected to sit at was sticky and the floor under it dirty. It wasn't just our table, others were as sticky. Yuk. The food was disappointing. My husband commented how bland his burrito was. The little cups of salsa that came with the food didn't enhance the flavor. My tacos weren't bland, but the corn tortillas were wet, the eggs rubbery and I think I counted 4 corn tortilla strips. The avocado was hard and brown. The fact that these come in a paper lines basket, and with the wet tacos I had to eat this with fork and knife instead of picking up the tacos to eat them. This resulted in wet paper stuck to my tacos. All in all not a great experience. I'm giving the place 2 stars instead of 1 because they have free parking, a treat in this part of town. read more

What an awful experience. They purposefully didn't make my order that I placed AT THEIR COUNTER and when I checked in on it they said " Sorry our kitchen is closed" . Longer version: Such a joke of a business. I went in at 940 and placed my order in person. Waited around for 20 minutes then checked on my order. They "lost" my order and then proceeded to tell me that the kitchen was closed and they weren't going to make it. Absolutely terrible business model. I hope management sees this and does something about it because they just lost a lot of big orders. I manage large orders for my business and after this experience I will not be coming back. T-T-TORCHY! If I crave tacos, then it has to be Torchy's Tacos. None of that Taco Bell, Jack-in-the-Box, Qdoba, or Chipotle business. Torchy's knows how to concoct unique tacos, which carry great flavor in each and every one of them. Plus, the tacos were much bigger than I expected. Two can easily fill me up but I definitely push for three just to bring home a little for later. The chips plus queso with guacamole in the center are perfect accompaniments to any of Torchy's tacos. I mean come on, guacamole in the center of queso? Genius. Note: Depending on which taco you order, the price per taco --about $4-$6 each-- can seem steep but I believe it's worth every shiny penny in your pocket compared to most non-authentic yet tasty tacos. read more
