I had to update my review, because there have been many changes to Torchy's menu since 2018! They now have a fajita plate for only $11, bowls, and horchata!! I've visited this location twice in the past couple of weeks and have not come during a busy time. Service was very prompt and it was easy to take orders through the kiosk. The place could be cleaner, but the vibes are on point with great music and bar scene. The hatch chile queso with diablo sauce is still my all-time favorite and my go-to tacos are the baja shrimp taco with corn tortilla, trashy trailer park (fried chicken with cheese instead of lettuce) taco with flour tortilla and fried avocado taco. I'm still so grateful Oklahoma has Torchy's! read more

SOLID. This location is better than the one off 63rd and Grand. Clean and well maintained. Awesome, friendly staff. Our food came out hot and fresh and exactly how we ordered it. We came at 2:30 in the afternoon and it was pretty busy. We were able to order fast and were served in a reasonable time. We ate so fast I didn't have time to snap a pic except the street corn. I had the chicken fajita tacos wasn't damn good chicken and vegetables was good but the tortillas was tough and hard to bite through. I had such a great experience at this Torchy's location. Tempest was able to assist me in taking my order when I was having some issues with the tablet ordering system. I've been severely depressed recently. Her bright smile and cheerful attitude really made my entire week. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in her job. I was also checked on a couple of times by other staff members who were all wonderful. I ordered 2 Democrat tacos and they did not disappoint. LOVE the queso and the guac and tacos and I almost always get the Brushfire taco (minus jalapenos and spicy sauce). The manager here is so kind, I accidentally ordered a taco without chicken on my app and he called and confirmed that I did want chicken. Torchy's is one of my favorite go-to's for brunch. Jenni was great. We were greeted with smiles and kindness. I have allergies and she made my meal free of allergens. The food came quickly as always. Torchy's has been one of my husband and I's favorite date night spots. We've eaten at the Edmond location and loved it, but after last night, I have to say I enjoy this location on Penn more! Maybe it's the food, the vibes, or maybe it's the fantastic drinks made by one of the coolest bartenders, Preston! (Ask for him when you go and you won't be disappointed) Whatever it is, the experience was Just about everything a person can ask for on a Friday night. I'm only giving 4 stars because the Tito's Cherry Limeade was in a slushy machine and I pretty much got the end of it, so I didn't get to fully enjoy it. We've done 2 group orders for work meetings. Horrible. The first one was 45 mins late. The second one was over an hour late and some people didn't get their food (including me). I thoroughly enjoyed my tacos from torchy's. Tacos are sold one apiece, so you can mix and match from the broad selection. They also have a seasonal taco. I ordered chips and guac, two tacos, and an order of churros, and it left me very full. They have some delicious hot sauces, you do need to order these when you order your food as you're not able to get them where the condiments usually are. The staff was super friendly though, and when I asked after being seated, he brought me a wide array of the sauces available. it's a fun spot, lots of seating, I would say good for groups or for two. I had only had takeout from Torchy's before. We were in the area so we decided to stop in. It took us a minute to figure out where to order. I saw people come on after us that were confused too. The girl taking our order was very friendly and was able to answer all my questions The prices are really reasonable, the service was great. We got our order quickly and it was delicious. I had a brisket taco. I had them remove the peppers because I don't care for peppers. I loved my taco, They have a full bar and I'd love to go some evening for dinner and drinks. We stopped by on Monday and we were told the truck hasn't arrived and they were out of avocados and sauces. We appreciated the heads up and left. I called today and they were out of limes. I'm not sure what was going on, but it's disturbing. We didn't go in because I can't imagine Torchys without limes. We are visiting from CA so I didn't want to spend lots of money and have a poor experience. You might want to call ahead and see what's on the menu before arriving. read more

I'm still mostly a Torchy's Tacos fanboy but lately, at least for this location, I've noticed a decline in the quality of their service. Every recent order is like playing a game of chance. Will they get my order right this time? Will I have to wait 15 - 30 minutes extra for no reason? The wait times on the app are a joke btw. I've lost count of how many times I've relied on their estimated wait times, only to find myself sitting down with a group of other customers who are also waiting for their orders. Idk how Torchy's calculates these wait times, or whether they have specific metrics each location has to achieve for pickup times, but the past three orders I've made I've just sat there waiting 20-30 minutes past the estimated pickup time. It's like the app plucks these wait times out of thin air and leaves me wondering why I even bothered with online ordering in the first place. Also, the tacos have definitely gotten smaller over the years. These things used to be loaded with toppings, like overflowing with cheese and goodies but nowadays you're getting these sickly tacos that, while tasty, are a fraction of the size they used to be. Listen, I get food prices have you on hard times, Torchy's, but I've seen your CEO's mansion and it's huge and gawdy as heck, and I bet he's not having to feel the sting of inflation like his locations do - don't pass the buck to your customers to pay a premium for greasy, underfilled, taco roll ups. read more

Definitely don't recommend this place. We ordered guacamole and chips. The "guacamole" seems to be just mashed avocados. When we asked about it, we were told the manager would be out to see what the issue was. The manager never came. Besides that the woman taking the orders at the counter was rather rude and the food took quite a long time to come to the table. I find this very sad, because, the other Torchys I've been to have been excellent. Very unfortunate. read more

This review is for the catering service, which was pretty disappointing. I placed this order 2 days in advance, plus I called the restaurant at 10:00 that day to remind them. I was told the manager was on it. When I arrived at the restaurant it wasn't ready. They went in the back and said they were still working on the order. There was an order on the counter at that time but they said it wasn't mine. After 15 minutes someone came out from the back with part of my order. They then figured out that the part on the counter was also mine, but they couldn't figure that out earlier. When the guy apologized for not catching that, I said it didn't matter because we were waiting on the hot items from the back anyway. The person who brought the hot order out said that it had actually been sitting back there for 15 minutes because they didn't know I was there. So, cold tacos, high catering prices, and a missed order window make for a very negative first impression. What a shame. read more

So here's a few things to know about Torchy's - 1) Mimosas, tequila sunrises, sangrias, (and another alcoholic beverage I cannot seem to recall!) are all 3.50$ on weekends. That's a score for girls night out. 2) There's a secret menu!!! You might have to ask for it, but our waitress gave it to us without us asking so - thank you for that! 3) The selections are endless. So far the ones I've had both with the girls, and my boyfriend have been crazy good. I'd opt with the flour tortillas just cos I think they're slightly more flavorful, but the corn is fine if you insist. My favorite tacos were anything with the jalapeno sausage. Insanely, insanely good!! The seafood ones were good too - not overcooked, and seasoned just nice. If you're vegan you can opt for the taco with the portabello mushroom, or the one with the fried avocado! We sat at the bar and the service was alright, slightly slow with the food but they were friendly at first. Only thing to note was that when the crowd got slightly busy the service was a little less courteous, but it wasn't too bad. Good atmosphere, good food - so definitely worth a visit over! read more

My sister lives in Austin, so Torchy's is a must when I see it. This location was super clean, and ordering was very quick. They made the food swiftly, and I was through the line with my food in less than 10 minutes. Tacos are always great, this time I tried the rice and street corn as well. I recommend to stick to the tacos, that's what they're good at, the other two were pretty bland. Definitely a good lunch spot, always good food. I looooooooved Torchys when it was only in Austin, so was stoked to find out that it was expanding. This torchys is super close to where my in laws live, so we have ordered from there pretty frequently. Every-time I try a new Taco here I deem it my new favorite taco..... until I try the next one. Than that usually becomes my new favorite. Guacamole is a little spicy, but I LOVE spicy so it was perfect for me. Queso is LOADED and amazing! I get the same cashier every time and he is consistently rude and doesn't listen. I say carry out and he puts dine in. I asked for the damn good fajita meal and was told that's not a thing (which it is) and I have the 2025 queso card and was told I need the current card (which it is). Tonight my chicken in my taco was rock hard so half of it went into the trash. I would go back but I cannot deal with the cashier again. He needs to work on his customer service because it is unacceptable. Attitude will drive away customers. Did a pickup order which was very easy via their website. I'd never been to a Torchy's before. In case you haven't either, it's similar style to a Chipotle or Qdoba, but just tacos. I got the Matador, Tipsy Chick, Trailer Park, and Brushfire. All were good. The Matador was the favorite. I'll be back again. This location is right between Freddy's and Starbucks. read more
