So happy there is one here now! I had tacos when I was in Houston and loved them! Small but mighty and pack filled with good meat and fresh ingredients. The taco shell is specific. Soft but, corn style and grainy. The salmon one and jerk chicken was good! Hot sauce was hot! I can't wait to come back and try more options. Update- I went back for the Hogfather and the Crossover brisket! The brisket was my favorite so far! The hogfather id like to see, maybe a cilantro mayo on it, and then diced fresh jalapeños instead of pickled, that way a cilantro mayo or sour cream could offset the heat but, I like heat! Same with the rice, a bit more cilantro and maybe some kind of cilantro cream as a choice to add to the rice.

Coming from California, I have a certain set of expectations for something called a taco. None of those expectations were fulfilled by the provisions available at Torchy's. Nevertheless, the tacos at Torchy's were incredible! I had the Republican - a taco made with smoked brisket - and I've never had a taco like that in my life! The flour tortilla was buttery soft- and the smoked brisket was straight up Texas-worthy! Yes i said that! That taco was delicious!!! The Bushfire taco was awesome- the fresh mango juxtaposed with the sour cream and epically hot habanero pepper sauce was just so so good! The fried avacado was 'meh' to me. The Churros were great! The service was great!

Sat at bar for full service. My Mexican margarita was good and flavorful. I e like the 3 sum for chips and queso. Guac super fresh and liked the salsa. I ordered the republican and a chorizo egg and cheese the republican was great meat super flavorful the eggs on the other were overdone but it's was ok. Stopped in here while on vacation in Florida, and will definitely be coming back next time we're in town! Amazing food and drinks. Great service and quaint atmosphere. We purchased a variety of food from the menu and everything was fantastic! Wish we had one in Michigan.

Never heard of Torchy's before my friend brought me here, now I'm a fan and will be on the lookout for them when I am out and about. Especially since I just found out there is one not far from where I live. This is fast casual to a tee. It is an amazing experience, and the food is some of the best Mexican I could ask for in a setting like this. My friend decided that we should sit at the bar instead of standing in line and ordering. I wasn't mad about that. Even though the menus are overhead they give you a menu at the bar. It made it easier to do so when wanting to decided, instead of having to crane your neck. It was hard for me to decide since I was never here. After looking over the menu like fifty times, I went with a few things. To start I went with the Damn Good Tots. When they say that they are the larger size, I expected more. Only downfall here. When you say large tots, you need to mean large tots. These are topped with queso and bacon. Salty, yes; satisfying, also yes. As for the mains, I went with the Trailer Park, get it Trashy. Chicken, topped with (if trashy) queso, green chiles, pico de gallo, mixed cheese and poblano sauce. Hunch over to eat this, as it will be dripping some of the goodies out of it. I also go the Grande Burrito. I had it plain, added no meat. Refried pinto beans, rice, pico de gallo, sour cream, guac, mixed cheese inside a flour tortilla. Come with Roja sauce and Tomatillo sauce. Both are delicious and I suggest alternating between the two when you take bites. A totally satisfying meal. Something to look forward to with future visits. Service here was amazing. The woman attending to the bar area was very nice. She chatted with us a lot while we were here. She was a doll and knew everything about the menu without having to look.

**Vegetarian Friendly** LOVED this place in Dallas many years ago, and was excited it was in Orlando! The menu has 2 Vegetarian Taco options, but they cashier said they could make many of them vegetarian friendly. (1) Queso - Deliciously gooey and cheesy, with some spice! If you're getting queso for kids, ask for the Diablo Sauce on the side. We had leftover queso, and it did not congeal overnight! Sign of not-so-fake queso (2) The Fried Avocado - personally, the fried avocado was too much for me that I would skip it next time. (3) The FoSho - loved all the different textures! Too much rice for me, so I would ask for less if you're not into rice. About 5 miles from any of the Universal Parks, so makes a great quick dinner after a day in the park! PRO TIP: You can swap corn tortilla for flour tortilla in any of the tacos.

I had high expectations for Torchy's Tacos. My first experience was many years ago in Houston, Texas. So, I knew what to expect, and the Orlando location did not disappoint. This was my first visit to the Orlando location, and I knew it would be busy due to foot traffic in the general area. However, despite the crowd (which really was not so bad), service was QUICK. I got my order pretty quickly, and it was how I remembered it in Houston: GREAT! I ordered the Baja Shrimp Grilled and the Crossroads tacos. I didn't get any sides this time around, but I did request that the jalapeños be on the side to control the spice. I didn't end up needing the sauces that came on the side as the tacos were just as flavorful without. I did end up adding the spice back in, as it added an extra kick. Overall, everything tasted great. I will definitely be back to visit and order more from their menu. On a quick note, the restaurant has a cute retro feel to the interiors. There is ample seating indoors and outdoors. The staff is BEYOND SUPER DUPER! And did I mention, the tacos were good! Also, great price points. All in all, I've been a Torchy's fan for years now, and I am happy Orlando has a few locations. Now, I don't have to book a flight to Texas to get some tacos!

For those that know, no explanation needed! Just "Damn Good" food. Tex-Mex at its best with a twist. They have breakfast all day for those just getting off of work or craving Breakfast. Full bar to wash down those amazing tacos, chips, queso, and guacamole. The queso is hands down the best thing you shouldn't miss out on. Pro tip: They have a secret menu!

My favorite Torchy's items is the taco of the month and their fajita plate. Torchy's has upscale tacos, drinks and desserts. Lately I have been trying the tacos of the month and enjoyed the last two: The Front Man - June Panko fried chicken, tangy gochujang teriyaki sauce, champagne vinaigrette slaw, sweet grilled pineapple, a cucumber spear, cotija, and cilantro all served on a warm tortilla with a lime wedge on the side. Tokyo Drifter - May Teriyaki green chile pork, crispy wonton strips, sweet and sour veggie slaw, sesame sriracha mayo, plus cilantro on a fresh flour tortilla. Both tacos felt adventurous and fancier than your average taco stand. Are they authentic - oh hell no, but very tasty. I generally don't like spicy food and because of that I don't enjoy their chips and dips. They do have really creamy guacamole. Torchy's has many spicy food choices. Their bowls were ok but my absolute favorite is their fajita plate which you can usually get even if it is not appearing on the current menu. It has plenty of peppers, meat and toppings. Torchy's is a fast casual restaurant. The staff I have encountered ordering are friendly and helpful. Customers order at a counter and fetch your own drink unless you order a cocktail. Take a seat in a booth or table and they deliver your food using a number. Food comes on little metal trays and they have garbage bins in the dining room to bus your own table. There is also patio seating. Generally a clean fast food vibe. Torchy's has a selection of soft drinks and custom juice drinks. I frequently see families eating out as this location is close to the theme parks. A good choice to grab a quick meal when you want to eat more than fast food.

This is the 2nd Torchy's that I've ever been to. I am definitely becoming a fan. Just like the Winter Garden location, there is plenty of seating inside and out. The room is very spacious and there is a bar to order food and drinks from. They offer a self service soda station with to go containers and foil for wrapping up any leftovers. The bar offers a limited number of the most popular liquors to make cocktails from scratch or from their signature drink menu. They also have beer on tap, wine and seltzers. What I really like about this location, compared to Winter Garden, is that they are open an hour later each night so weekdays until 10 pm, Friday and Saturday until 11 pm. To keep it new, I ordered 2 different tacos and also tried the queso and chips. A great thing about Torchy's is that you can easily order any taco or burrito with either flour or corn tortillas or in a bowl. The first taco I had was the Mr. Orange taco. This had a thin piece of nicely seasoned blackened salmon, with black beans, corn, cotija cheese and cilantro. There was also a generous drizzle of the avocado crema sauce. It was a little fishy which I expected because it's salmon but still very good. I do wish the salmon filet was a bit thicker though. My next taco was the Crossroads taco. It came with beef brisket, onions, jalapenos, cilantro, avocado and cheese. The brisket was seasoned well and was tender. They give you a generous amount of meat and toppings so it's a good value. The jalapenos were mild and had just the right amount of heat that I was looking for. The queso is also very good. A bit on the spicier side because of the diablo sauce drizzled on top but flavorful. It includes a small dollop of guacamole, which is a nice touch. I preferred the bar at the Winter Garden location but the extended hours at this location will likely make it my favorite Torchy's location.

Went on a taco Tuesday date with my bff here , stayed not too far from here. Went on a whim and definitely was satisfied. I'm glad we stopped and tried the various options. Wouldn't normally order tacos like we got but it was the perfect amount of everything. The trio was amazing as well. The two servers were amazing as well and kept the place well organized and cleans the food came out quick and there was potency of seating

The food and service did not disappoint. It was not crowded, so we had a choice of practically any table in the restaurant. They also provide outdoor seating. I had the shrimp taco and it was very flavorful. I also received my birthday queso and chips. What a wonderful perk!

Came here for lunch right before the rush, around 11:55 or so, here is my spiel- The Good: Good service, clean and modern space, easy parking, fast The Bad: Room temp food (chicken and salmon should be piping hot). I was told by the cashier "this is a scratch kitchen, so expect the food in about 12-15 minutes", this suddenly upped the expectation. We got the food about 5 minutes after ordering, and to my surprise it was room temperature, more of a cold room temp. Next is flavor... I expected it to be more. I don't think this spot was bad per se, however the website and marketing really play up the food. Its between a Tijuana Flats & a Jimmy Hula's. They are brand new around here so I will totally go back and try other things on the menu and hope for a better experience. read more

Torchy's never disappoints and has some interesting combinations. The price is average and the staff was very helpful. We used to go to the Winter Garden location which was only 15 minutes away, and recently shut down. I do not understand why it shut down other than staffing issues. The food was good and it was always busy but it seemed like they were always running behind. Not here. They were very efficient, despite the busy nature, and placing the order while using our earned points was a breeze with the helpful counter person. You also have an option to place your order electronically. The tacos are HUGE and so tasty. We rarely finished them and they seemed bigger than before. The salsas are very good and the rioja is nice and spicy. We are disappointed that the old location closed but this is a nicer better run location and the ride isn't too bad. For my money, this s is one of the better taco locations in the Orlando area. read more

The Democrat taco and Queso dip were absolutely phenomenal! Honestly left me craving more for days! I wish there were more locations especially in New Orleans (hometown) so I could sample every item in the menu!!! The house margarita on the rocks was ok sorta of generic due to using a premix, but I got there close to closing time and drank too slowly to try the specialty margaritas. That's in my TO DO NEXT TIME & there WILL BE a next time! Staff was accommodating and met all of my needs even while being very short staffed that evening. Don't miss the gem read more

Torchy's Tacos has one big problem on their hands and that is CONSISTENCY. We get pick up or delivery from here 1-2x/wk and there have been times when the food has been absolutely fire, and times where it was served completely cold with cheese unmelted in burritos. We waited 40 mins for one breakfast burrito on more than one occasion. Some of the best items on the menu in my opinion as someone who has tried most of the menu: Trashy trailer park taco, brushfire chicken taco, fajitas plate, breakfast burrito, street corn, chips and queso or chips and guac (they have really nice thin salty chips which I love) Overall, I think Torchy's is worth a visit or two. I can't speak too much to the ambiance since we haven't dined-in but the inside is nice and inviting and staff is friendly. I have had a lot of great meals from here and I think if they could work out the issues with quality control, consistency and timing, they would be a 5/5 easily. read more

This restaurant is conveniently located, if staying close to theme parks. It was a nice switch up from theme park food and was quite tasty. A little pricey for tacos but satisfying not to mention just delicious! We walked in about 30 minutes before closing, and they served and treated was wonderful customer service. The food was hot and fresh and no complaints! I would certainly visit again! read more

Torchy's used to be a Texas icon but the quality started going down as they grew. But, we recently visited this brand new location in Orlando and it was great. They made the tacos perfectly and didn't skimp on the ingredients. Food also came out very fast. Definitely worth the visit and I hope more new locations maintain the quality! read more

Went in for a pick up order during the week and was pleasantly surprised. They have a pick up entrance that goes straight to the pick up shelf which streamlines things for customers. We got a burrito bowl and three tacos. I tried the brisket, pork and barbacoa tacos. I was very happy with the flavor and the presentation, plus it felt like they loaded up the tacos and I got what I paid for. The toppings are very creative but you can also get regular street tacos with onion and cilantro. I love the variety of options and this seems like a great place to go with large groups as there is something for everyone. I will definitely be back! read more

We were pleasantly surprised when we ran into a torchys since we moved to Florida from Austin last July- we were disappointed though when our food was completely dry and corn tortillas hard. This Torchy's def didn't take pride in its food. We won't be back- we'll wait until we go back to austin. read more

It was an interesting experience. The person who took our order was very accommodating with our wants and needs and got our order correctly. We ordered the patron margs which were not bad at all for $13. I got the Trailer Park and the Democrat. My husband ordered the Republican and Green Chile Pork. We got our drinks and food at a timely manner. The Trailer Park had a crispy chicken tender with some greens and sauce - the sauce was pretty good. The Democrat came with an avocado - which I thought was a lime at first. The avocado was so hard, I couldn't eat it . The bbq sauce on the Republican was too tangy for our preference with the smoked brisket that you couldn't really taste anything else but the bbq sauce. The Green Chile pork was pretty good. We liked that they have options for half portions for the sides and some starters. We got the taters and the Salsa Roja. The Salsa was pretty good but the chips were on the saltier side. A few open tables/seats could probably have used some love with a good wipe down. It was our first time trying Torchy's. Maybe we'll try again in the future. read more

If I'm looking for good tacos somewhere, there are some better options around town. This wasn't the worst experience ever, but far from the best. Most people here were drinking instead of eating, so that may be the better option. Service was typical of a fast casual dining restaurant. Ambiance was just ok. I wasn't impressed personally. read more

Palm parkway is new, and full of restaurants and things to do. I've had Torchys in Texas in the past but honestly can't remember if it was a "hit it" or "quit it" situation. Sorry no pics, things escalated quickly, we had the Alabama Shake, Trailor park, grilled chilli pork, Cross roads and the damn good tots. The food is mediocre, none of the tacos were hot, borderline cold. The flavors are meh after one bite I knew I wouldn't be back. Sent the tots back as they were clearly cold and they were replaced with hot ones. Just The service was great, the staff was nice and friendly and the restaurant was clean. read more

Worst torchys ever. Had to wait over 50 minutes for our food despite the place being only half full AND when we did get the food we were missing half the order. We asked for a refund and they claimed they would refund the order yet they did not. The workers did not even apologize for the wait, which was over an hour at this point. Love torchys but this is the worst one by far! read more

Unfortunately this taco place is just not it. It was exciting that it was something new to the area. I went in and it was dead due to the time of day I went. I waited for 15 minutes at the counter hoping I could place an order, the people behind there walked by me several times but nothing was set to me. Unfortunately I walked out and I will not be returning or recommending this place. read more

The burritos we ordered were small in quantity of food and cold. All I got was an "I'm sorry," when I told them. No offers to make a new one or any type of interest. She went on about her business. Hard taco shells were not available. Those two small tacos with a 1/2 order of guacamole and a drink was almost $22. There was maybe three bites worth of meat in the flour tort. They were small compared to other Mexican places I have been to. We will not be returning. Mine tasted very bland. My boyfriend said his was cold as well but tasted good but mentioned how small the serving was. read more

Horrible experience. Placed a to-go order inside, I waited 30 minutes for my food, meanwhile the person who took my order is just talking to another employee who was on her lunch. Finally, the manager noticed it took so long and asked the employee who placed my order to go check on my food. She comes out with my food then, and my food is cold! For a fast casual experience it probably can't be much better than Torchy's. The menu is mainly tacos and apps but what you get is delicious. I don't know if I've had better guacamole. We actually went here a couple of times and were able to sample several menu items. I think my favorite was the Fo Sho veggie taco. I'm not sure I've ever ordered anything vegetarian in a restaurant before but the ingredients sounded good so I gave it a shot and it was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful and or food came in a timely fashion. If you are in the mood for some tacos, this is your place. read more

Torchy's Tacos was founded in 2006 in Austin, Texas, when a man with a dream bought a food trailer and a vibrant red Vespa. Mike Rypka, founder of Torchy's Tacos, built a menu out of experimental tacos that were coined by fans as "Damn Good." By living the Damn Good mantra, Torchy's Tacos is always innovating to deliver the most unique tacos, award-winning queso and refreshing margaritas in the taco game, including the Taco of the Month, an untraditional taco offering that keeps our taco fans coming back for more.
