Torchy's "new" nachos. Guacamole not shown.
    Susan E.

We hadn't been to Torchy's in awhile, but my friend craved some of their green chile queso so it was time for a visit. When you enter, a line leads to a counter where you place your order... then you're given a tracker so the server can locate your table. You fill your (non-alcoholic) drink cup at the station that follows the counter, then find your table and await delivery. We looked at menus placed in a bin just before the ordering counter, then my friend spotted a new offering that includes the queso: nachos. We each ordered them and got our trackers. The guy taking orders was very friendly and helpful. The dining area was clean and tables were well spaced out. The decor was fun, as with all Torchy's locations I've visited. While the nachos were delivered quickly and looked nice, the amount of food seemed pretty sparse for the price (about $12). We could have added a protein, for an additional charge of course. Our server came by a second time with small containers of guacamole, after realizing they'd been left off our orders. The nachos got pretty soggy from the pico de gallo long before we finished eating. Not great. Lesson learned: if you have a craving for green chile queso, get the container of queso, which comes with guac atop and a side of chips. Your chips will stay crisp and you'll save yourself about $4... which can be applied toward a great taco.

It's been a long time since I've eaten at a Torchy's Tacos. This location is spacious, and the service was fast and friendly. You order first and then seat yourself. What I missed the most is the spicy queso, and it sure hit the spot. The Baja shrimp taco was delicious.

Our first visit here and loved it. The staff member assisting us at the counter was very helpful and patient with us. We sat inside, which was nice. We checked out the outdoor area when leaving, and would love to try that next time or sitting at the bar. We had a house rocks margarita & the sucker punch. Both great. We shared a 1/2 queso with chips, which was really tasty. I has the Tipsy Chick taco , which was amazing. When I topped with the bacon jam, it was heaven. My husband had the chicken fajita taco and loved it. Tacos are a good size, so with the queso, we were both full. Can't wait to return. Until then, I'll be dreaming about the Tipsy Chick. Try it out -- you won't regret it!

The salad was so flavorful. I look forward to my next visit. The service was great; providing suggestions as this was my 1st visit here. The atmosphere was just right for conversating with my friend over dinner.

Torchy's is always a delight and a no-brainer when I need a good taco fix. Staff member who took our order was so patient. She answered all the questions my friends, who follow vegan diet, had and ensured their order was customized to their needs. Food came to our table quickly, accurately and was delicious. Tacos and queso were 5/5 while street corn was 3.5/5 (solely coz they could have easily added a little more of sauce and cheese to it, to create a good balance. I usually never had this complaint before though.) This location has good sized parking lot. I didn't notice patio seating. The area around could use some bright lighting around. It's felt like this location is tucked away and can easily go unnoticed.

Hillbilly queso and all the taco sauces that were not labeled

Enjoyed my first experience at Torchy's Tacos. I got the naughty Santa (seasonal taco) and the beef fajita. Both were good, I probably would try others before I get the beef fajita again, the meat was really chewy and not the best beef. Was really confused about the sauces provided, they weren't labeled so we didn't know which one went with each taco. They can improve in that. The hillbilly queso was the star of the night! So good and would go just got that! Service was good for our first time going. We picked up so didn't eat in but the ambiance seemed okay. More causal than I thought.

You cannot go wrong with Torchy's and this location proved it once again. Had family in town visiting Austin for the very first time so had to take them to Torchy's. Loved the Baja Shrimp, Ace of Spades, Fried Avocada and Brush fire. This location has a full bar so on a hot summer day, nothing can beat tasty tacos and a chilled Margarita. Service was quick.

The tacos are always a hit! I don't think I have ever tried something I have disliked here. The democrat is one of my favorite tacos. The food usually comes out pretty quickly as well which is nice. There is plenty of seating and I have always been able to find a table.

Celebrated a loan forgiveness letter here at my neighborhood Torchy's Tacos the other day. I ordered their taco of the month, one with salmon. This taco was a delightful combination of fresh and vibrant flavors. The soft corn tortilla had a great texture, and the pickled onions added a nice tang, easily my favorite part of the toppings. The salmon was well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the creamy avocado slice. A well-balanced and satisfying taco! I love how each Torchy's has a unique decorative theme, but doesn't fall under the category of cluttered.

Came here for a quick bite after golfing and it definitely did the trick. If you're looking for a good taco or salad with quick service I'd highly recommend. It's a casual spot, the food is good but average. Would suggest to stop by if you want something quick but wouldn't go out of my way to try!

The overbearing music that cuts out every 16 notes is obnoxious and loud. They have a few TVs for games, but doesnt seem like there was any thought as to placement. I noticed they had some new menu items and was excited to try the milanesa de res plate (as clearly written on their board). The waitress, a very nice young lady, took my order with no problem. But shortly after, she came back saying the cook told her that the milanesa could only be made with chicken. I showed her the board, which listed both beef (res) and chicken (pollo). This led to several servers having to check and communicate with the kitchen, which felt unnecessary and just made the wait longer -- I was simply hungry and didn't want the extra back-and-forth. Eventually, our server explained that milanesa de res is only available in tortas, but then added they were actually out of beef anyway. I accepted that and asked for a side of rice instead. About 10 minutes later, she returned saying the cook had decided they would go ahead and make the milanesa de res after all. At this point, I was frustrated -- why say they didn't have it, then later say they could make it? It really felt like the kitchen was making up rules as they went, which is not fair to the customers or to the servers. The only positive part of this visit was our waitress. She was kind, patient, and clearly just trying to do her job, but the disorganization and inconsistency from the kitchen left a very bad impression.

Honestly, I love lamb, but if you put a plate in front of me and then tell me what I was eating, I could not give you a description of what it was. The meat had no lamb flavor at all more of like a stewed meat. I unforced got a lot of connective tissue which I had to pick away at. The salsa they had available were very good as well as the handmade corn tortillas. I applaud this family for providing something different than the rest of the crowd.
