Needed to get a custom hitch for my shuttle bus, which has a very unusual chassis. It had to be sturdy enough to carry my motorcycle cross country on a rack...not pulling a trailer. As you can imagine, I needed something heavy duty that I could rely on so I wouldn't end up dropping the bike going down the freeway! They custom made a hitch for me that could hold up to 750lbs, and was anchor in four places, which was more than enough to do the job. They even had me bring in the motorcycle rack so they could custom fit for it and install the rack at the same time. One stop full service and I drove away with my bike securely riding on the back. A big thank you to the mechanics who came out after closing to help me load the motorcycle for the first time and showed me how to strap down! I feel like it was money well spent for a very professional job and they went the extra mile to help me out. Back in April ......CSA......Ben hooked me up with shop worker Felipe...and he assisted me with finishing the install on my previously purchased bottom stable load system to my 2020 Chevy 1 ton Diesel @ no charge......... Even though the circumstances of my visit were less than desirable (rv dealer unable to correctly install my weight distribution hitch), these guys squared things away (Felipe, John, Ben) and I left confident with my configuration. The team and service at Torklift Central were fantastic. Can't recommend this business enough. Drew, Zoe and Nick helped us in a real jam with our boat trailer after we smoked out a barring. They went overboard, staying late on the Friday after 4th of July to help get us and our boat back in the road for a fishing trip. Drew hustled to help us find the parts we needed from another local business. They also performed a thorough trailer inspection to make sure we'd be in good shape. In addition to being knowledgeable and charging a fair price for service and parts,the facility was nice and clean inside with comfortable leather recliners, wall chargers for a dying cell phone and a TV to help pass time. They also had water, coffee and a clean restroom. We'd just had lunch when we arrived, but heard from locals that the Mexican restaurant next door is also really good if you get hungry while you're having work done. Big thanks to the team - while we don't expect to have to have any work done anytime soon, we will make the drive from Seattle when we're due for routine maintenance. I bought a 2011 Subaru Outback and was happy to see it had a trailer hitch installed, so I rented a Uhaul trailer for my next big move only to learn that I needed hard-wired lights. Apparently this is common knowledge, but I didn't know because I've never owned a car capable of towing anything. I learned that I needed trailer lights the day before my moving day with paid movers planned. I was in a tight spot and needed trailer lights installed ASAP. Like several other reviewers, I found that they can be rather disorganized. Several reviews here were upgraded after Torklift contacted the reviewer to "make it right". In my case, I am a fair distance away and have other options closer to home to get welding work done. So, it was basically not convenient for me to make another trip up there as they suggested. But, I think they are sincere in wanting to make things right. It appears they have developed a following of knowledgeable people who can attest to the quality of their work. Torklift is THE place to get your hitch installed. They're knowledgeable and easy to work with. We got a hidden hitch installed on our 2016 Honda Odyssey the day before our first big road trip with the hitch and bike rack. When I got home, I accidentally put the 2" to 1.25" converter for the rack in backwards and it got stuck! I called 5mins before closing and they said to swing by. Torklift SAVED THE DAY by calmly and quickly removing the stuck part and helped me install the rack the right way. Overall I had a good experience with TorkLift when they installed the hardware and wiring to tow my Honda Fit behind my new motorhome. They were able to get it done with less than two weeks notice and I was able to tow the Honda on the day I picked up my motor home. The quality of workmanship was great, and I left TorkLift with confidence I could safely tow my car. There were a few minor distractions from a perfect experience: (1) I reached out via Yelp's built in messaging. This was hit and miss. Sometimes they were super responsive and other times I had to follow up to get a response. I later learned why. They are SUPER busy and often missed Yelp's notifications. (2) it was expensive. Over $5000 for me. This was more than twice what I expected it would cost. To be fair, it's expensive because it's a lot of work and parts to make this happen. I don't feel I overpaid. I just had a little sticker shock I feel like I need to mention. (3) we arrived on a Friday about 2 hours after we received the call that they were done with the Honda and ready for us to pick it up. We arrived around 3:15pm, and waited nearly 90 mins for the tech to show up and finally finish the install on the motorhome side. Fortunately once the tech arrived it only took about 30-45 mins longer then we were on our way to our first camping trip. I definitely would use TorkLift again. They do good work and made it happen for us. It's awesome to be able to tow our car behind our new motorhome on day 1! read more

I placed an order and waited for them to send tracking info but never did get it so I decided to send an email and answer I got saying was "it's being made" and take 5 to 10 business days. That was a surprise.... if it's a made to order shouldn't they let customers know?? If I did I'd have never placed an order. Torklift Central (Kent, WA) is AMAZING!!! I was having problems with my high-end trailer hitch that I PURCHASES SOMEWHERE ELSE days earlier. The manufacturer highly recommended Torklift Central (Kent) to look at it for the issue I was having. I called Torklift and they were extremely accommodating to my problem. I was on a RV trip, as I was passing through Kent, I called Zoe at the front counter. Zoe told me to stop by to check the hitch, said no charge to evaluate it, not many companies do that. I arrive 15 minutes later and Zoe IMMEDIATELY had a hitch tech out to my truck, he examined it, and solved my problem and I was back on the road from start to finish in 20 minutes. Read the terms very carefully. They charge a 15% restocking fee on returns. I bought a front license plate holder for a Tesla, but it attaches to the flimsy plastic grille in the front. This used to be solid option for towable items, they wasted my time multiple times trying to purchase an hitch from Torklift. Told me they had eco hitch to fit my SUV, but during the installation determined that the hitch didn't fit. Torklift felt the need to blame the manufacturing, yet again pretty sad that Torklift feels the need to look for excuses. Maybe they are too busy for the size and needs of their customers. I just received and installed my EcoHitch from these guys, and have to say that I am quite pleased. I admit, at first I was a bit skeptical, as the website said it COULD take 5-10 days for me to receive my hitch, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived only 2 days after placing the order online. I did my due diligence and called ahead of time to make sure the hitch was in stock, but was a little bummed out that they aren't setup to take phone orders. Anyway, online I went, and as I said, 2 days later my hitch arrived. It was packaged well, and everything was in the box. I wasn't expecting anything to be missing, but often times the small parts like mounting hardware can get lost. No issue here whatsoever. I watched the instructional video ahead of time, and found the instructions to be fairly useful. I will say that my trunk is a a tad different than the directions indicated, but nothing a little common sense couldn't overcome. Start to finish the install took just over 2 hours, and I admit I was moving incredibly slowly. For some reason I kept hearing my wife's voice in the back of my head telling me that if I cut the bumper wrong, she'd kill me! The one thing I would have liked to see in the kit was a template to cut the bumper. It was easy enough to measure and mark, but a template that was centered on the hole you measure from would have taken all the remaining guess work out of it. Not sure if that's more of an EcoHitch issue, or a torklift issue, but it would be nice in either case. All in all my experience was great. They were easy to get ahold of, easy enough to order from, and the shipping was right on time. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an EcoHitch purchase it from these guys. Thanks! read more
