I went in to get both a pedicure and manicure. The woman did a great job on my toes. The man however, made my nails super ugly. I asked for short square acrylic nails and each finger is a different shape. They are super lumpy, thick and ugly. I had to ask him to do the middle finger and it still came out terrible. He rushed the process and only made conversation at the end of the appointment. Never going back. read more

My Mom and I went in for a mother daughter bonding time. It's my mother's first time getting acrylic nails. The lady I had was wonderful. My poor mother got the man that was there. He was very heavy handed working on her nails. He kept burning my mother with the grinding tool used for acrylic nails and she told him gently multiple times that he was burning her. His response was unique, he told her, she would get used to it. Everyone else there was wonderful but him. Unfortunatly we will not being going back due to the mans behavior towards my mother and how he did not apologise or try to stop burning my mother with the grinding tool. read more

My mom and I have been coming on and off to Toro Park Nails since we moved here 4 years ago. Every time, regardless of the nail tech, the end result has always been what I wanted. Sometimes it can be a bit busy and they may have to step away to answer the phone, but hey it's a small business and you want to stay busy. There was a time where I got my nails done for prom, and my dog stepped on them at home. I went back the next day to ask if they could re- do the foot and I would pay whatever cost they wanted, however, they fixed it for free - it was my senior prom and it was a great relief of nerves and put a smile on my face. Even today, after not coming in more than 3-4 times in the last year, they remember my name when coming in. At the end of the day, they've always cared about the end quality of the nail, and are down for friendly conversation - the best! Or, if you're more of an introvert, you can sit back and watch one of their shows, or just read a book. Hope you try them out! read more

Not the best. Just got a fill on my regular nails... the color looks patchy and the fill is bumpy. Nail tech knew she had made a mistake and she went back to file my nails after she finished applying color... which made it worse in the end as the top coat was filed off at the end of my nail. I'm only giving two stars because she was nice. If not, it would have been just a simple one star. This was my first time there and I did not enjoy my time. I am not one to complain or even go to the extent to right a review but I was disappointed with the the quality (not worth the money) and the atmosphere. The individual doing my nails was so condescending! He was not cooperative nor friendly. He made me feel like I was putting him out. I have been to Toro park nails three times. The nails services are mediocre, but since it's the only place around I can see why people come back. I just moved to Corral de Tierra oaks and thought I would give it a try. The door says walk in's welcome. The first time I walked in they place I was greeted by am annoyed man who asked me if I had an appointment. I told him I didn't and her was clearly annoyed. He was able to accommodate me, but the lectured me by telling literally five times that I needed to call ahead. I got a schelac manicure and regular pedicure. After three days my schelac chipped. The second timee I walked in, I was not greeted with "How can I help you?" The same male again so you have an appointment??? Again he seemed very agitated, and told me I needed to call ahead. I am a person of color and look younger than my age. While sitting getting my nails done he did not greeted other clients in the same fashion that her talked to me. Again he scolded that I needed to call ahead. I was embarrassed, but the women I got this tine did an excellent job on my schelac. It had me questioning if I should return, and I probably shouldn't have. Finally, because I was leaving on a last minute trip, I decided to try the nail place one last time. I called ahead and made an appt. Took my daughter with me. Again I entered and the same man just started at me. No hi, how are you. He said " What are you here for?" I said I have an appt. I asked if my daughter could have her toes painted. He said, " don't worry about her, let's focus on you!" I asked him if I could put left over lunch in the fridge and he just looked annoyed. Kept scolding me and told me literally five times, that I had to remind him at the end. It was all about his tone. I felt like everytime I'm three in treated like a child. He then snapped at me to go pick my color. The whole thing was in a room full of other clients. Again, I have never heard him speak to anyone else with the distain he spoke to me. Finally, I am asked him what was wrong? I told him that everytime I come he never greets me kindly, he barks at me, and this time I made an appointment??? I should have left. Instead of trying to understand my point of view he told me, you must be having a bad day! I calmly told him that his tone with me was always short and scolding, even when I did make an appointment. He honestly was never friendly or welcoming time. Instead of talking with me and trying to work it out out, he stormed off. My daughter was so uncomfortable and said he kept staring at us the entire time. Racism and bias are conscious and unconscious. I feel like I was treated differently because of the color of my skin and will never return. I've seen the raport he has with everyone else, but somehow never was granted the privilege of kindness, or any shread of customer service. Supporting this business encourages this type of intolerable behavior and I encourage you you to stay away. I am certainly will NEVER go back. I am a physician in the community who gives back to everyone, no matter their race or Creed. I ask you to consider my experience and decide if you want to support this type of behavior and business. read more

I have found my new favorite pedicure spot! They are super friendly and clean here! I'm a hairstylist and my feet are always in rough shape, so I always get the paraffin wax treatment and it's amazing! Sandy is always who does my nails and she's so sweet and very very thorough. I'm glad I tried Toro Park Nails out! $45 for a regular mani-pedi, which is quite reasonable. I really appreciate that this place is well ventilated, clean, and has great customer service! I was greeted as soon as I entered. Walk ins are welcome, but I advise calling ahead. When they get really busy, they run out of appointments and on occasion have to turn away walk ins. Lots of parking in the plaza, they accept credit cards, and are open on Saturdays. read more

Great spot! I got a gel french mani w/ Sandy this weekend, and she did a beautiful job. The line was clean, the whites were evenly opaque with no lumpy corners, and the nail shape was beautiful. I got a regular spa pedi w/ May at the same time, and her lines were also immaculately sharp, polish application was even, and each nail shaped nicely. Both ladies were friendly and made me comfortable. I've paid more at salons that left me with uneven polish application and sloppy french manicures, so many times I've done my own mani/pedi's. While I am nearing my due date and reaching my own feet is currently impossible, I'm dependent on a salon and I'm glad to have found one that delivers a result that I would've done on myself. read more

I called to make an appointment around 9 am and was able to get a 2:45 pm appointment for a mani/pedi. I was super excited as i have many friends who rave about this place and was gifted a mani/pedi for my birthday. Well upon arrival we weren't greeted, just stared at and asked if i had an appointment. Was told to go choose a color then seated at a manicure table. The man who did my nails didn't speak to me the entire time of my appointments, which is fine. However, he didn't ask what length or shape i wanted he just went ahead and started filing and then started on my dip. I didn't get any kind of nail bath, massage, lotion or oil. Just filing and applying the dip. My nails were buster going into the appointment and i was wanting to get tips added to get a little more length and dip. I was never asked anything except if i wanted gel which i requested dip powder instead. My left hand all my nails are filed down to where they meet my nailbeds which is painful and my right hand is longer but still short, so my hands are different lengths. The thumb on my right hand was filed extremely short to the point it was painful and my thumb looks like a toe. He then directed me to the pedicure tub where i was treated to maybe 10 minutes worht of a pedicure. He told me he couldn't use thier products on me as i had knicked my leg and had a bit of dried blood. He then squirted acetone onto my cut and proceeded with nail maintenence and a scrub only on my feet. I got hot towels on my feet which was nice but very short lived, polished and sat for a few moments before he put on sandals and told me that if i put the AC on my feet during my drive home that my nails would be dry by the time i got home. He also told me that because i wanted dip and my gifted mani was only for gel that he would not do my leg massage and call it even. I was fully aware and willing to pay the difference but it wasn't offered for me to do so. All in all I felt like i was more of a burden than a valued customer, i didn't feel welcomed and I felt rushed and ripped off. I am a stay at home mom who rarely gets any time to herself and this was a big treat for me that i was very eager to get. I was extremely disappoint and dissatisfied with the customer service and nail services provided. So i hope the correct people see this and can correct some things because it was very unfortunate that my appoinments went this way. I was so looking forward to being pampered but that was not the case whatsoever. read more

First experience here was satisfying but i had a concerns, i had a appointment at 3 but they were a little behind and i didn't get started until 3:45. the color i picked out they had ran out of so they offered to use the same color but add sparkles free of charge to match the original color i wanted. they were very friendly. I just got a gel manicure but i payed a total of $40 with tip, the gel lasted me about two weeks and a half until it started to chip. One star for kind staff and other two for being generous and last one for being taking time to make sure i was happy with the length and color and size of my nails. i would have gave five stars but they prices are a little high. if your looking for a good nail salon i do recommend this one if you don't mind paying a little extra for your nails read more

I asked for a gel polish change for my hands/toes. Mind you all I received was gel polish and a quick filing of my nails. No soaking, cuticle treatment, and no massage. They charged me FIFTY DOLLARS! A manicure (which includes the full services listed above) is $25! I couldn't believe it. They will never have my business again. I could have sat and had a full manicure and pedi for only a few $ more. Unbelievable. The worst part is the gel will likely be peeling off by middle of next week. read more
