They were both MASSIVE, loaded with meat, and surprisingly a few pinto beans mixed in too which added this lovely creamy texture to the mix. The salsa roja was a perfect balance of spice, acid, and a little garlic, and complimented the tacos very well. They also serve the tacos with a nice mix of grilled onions, pickled carrots, fresh radish and a serrano. My wife got the veggie burrito with salsa verde and absolutely loved it. The place has a small dining room in the more prominent drive-through area. They've got the standard offerings of tacos, burritos and sopes. The day we stopped by, we were just grabbing a number of different tacos, and by the time we had tasted everything we decided we would definitely be going back there were seven or eight different types of tacos, all of which were very good. Interestingly, the chicken was one of the best, and the Carnitas was a close second. The birria tacos were something new, and were phenomenal as well! The tacos were something like two dollars each, but more larger than many at other places, and the flavors were just magnificent! The folks working here we're all very nice, and despite it taking a bit for our Baker's dozen tacos, it was worth the wait. This adds to the ever growing number of awesome Mexican places in the valley, and continues to cement in my mind, the Yakima is one of the best places in the country for Mexican food - come try our spots out, and try to prove me otherwise!

There's a lovely mural on the wall that makes for an excellent backdrop to some of really good food. They've also got a huge collection of small clocks that are akin to the dashboard hula girls of yesteryear - though these are mostly Mariachi band gentlemen with an occasional dancing sunflower! Hilarious! The food here, like most places in the valley, is hyper authentic- like grandma is helping make it, authentic. I had a few tacos and the carnitas de puerco - a delicious pork dish with the meat slow simmered in some delicious spices! I got mine to go so the presentation was off from dining in, but the total experience was spectacular! The meat was perfectly tender and the flavor was right on. They have a number of other special preparation meat options and I look forward to trying them soon! Tacos run about $1.50 each and the specials $7.95. The adobada being one of my early favorites as well as the flautas de pollo. The Sopes were nice and hot really good to enjoy with the side of rice.
