I have always loved and enjoyed torotea. I've been lucky enough to avoid the wait times and long lines with every visit. This was my first time at the Chino Hills location. The ambiance of the place is chill and calm despite the foot traffic. It's very aesthetic but like the diamond bar location, a small space. Today my rating is a 4/5 stars because the location forgot the crème brûlée top for one of my milk teas. I had long drive home and ordered a no ice cassia milk tea with the tapioca mochi and crème brûlée top to resemble the typical crème brûlée milk creation (they do not allow modifications for this one). Considering the cloud tops are $1.25 extra, I was disappointed. I called the location 3 times to try to remedy to situation as I was already 30 minutes from the store but only reached an automated voice system. I had the drinks packaged in the carriers so I did not notice the missing top until I arrived home:( I am understanding because it is soft opening and wanted to provide feedback: suggest an improved phone line or way to remedy mistakes like these. My aunt introduced this to me. This is my first time trying Torotea. This is so different from all the other boba places for sure. I have to tell you, walking into the tea shop was like walking into a spa. Really! I was like is this a spa, too? It looked like a Desert mesa. I didn't get a picture because I got interrupted and then a swamp of people came in. The services were excellent. The girls are super friendly. We stood outside because it was freezing in the shop, and she brought our drinks to us. Their teas are really delicious in flavors. Then the highlight of the shop the bobas. So the bobas are not your regular starches bobas, these are grass jelly bobas. They have 5 different types of bobas to choose from. They have grass jelly bobas, then they have the brown-sugar grass jelly. Then there are mango jelly and passion fruit jelly. However these jelly aren't just jelly. They have a bit of a chewy textured jelly. I loved it. Also these jellies do not go bad like your regular bobas do. So you can actually have it in your fridge for a few days and still be able to have it like fresh. It's also healthier for you versus the starchy boba. And healthier is always a plus. I came on a Wednesday around 1pm and the line wasn't too long but there was a steady flow of people. Since they did not have the bamboo jade oolong milk tea at this location, I opted for the misty milk tea with roasted barley jelly. Drinks tasted great! My favorites were the popcorn milktea with brown sugar tapiochi and the osmanthus citrus refresher (without the osmanthus jelly it tastes a bit like a less citrusy lemonade but the combo is really nice). My husband's favorite was the mulberry oolong with osmanthus jelly. We also tried the Koan-in tapioccino which we enjoyed as well. We both agree the brown sugar tapiochi is better than boba. Can't say the zesty oolong was our favorite. It has a bit of an earthy flavor and kind of grows on you, but may be a bit of an acquired taste. Ordering ahead by about 10-15 minutes saved us time! By the time we got to the location, the drinks were just completed. Just be aware there is an online ordering fee. In terms of ambiance, it's very asthetic inside and a bit dark/moody. Great for pictures. The music was a bit too loud for us so we were thankful we ordered ahead and didn't have to wait too long. Overall, this has to be one of my new favorite tea places! read more

This place is SO good, I've had their Jasmine matcha latte probably a million times now. The workers know me by name! The interior reminds me of Disneyland's Star Wars bar, it's very interesting and decorative. The matcha is unmatched, I will for sure keep coming back! read more

Highly prefer this location to the one in Diamond Bar, especially because there was no waitlist. Went here on a Tuesday evening - the line wasn't that long, and we got our drinks pretty fast. The interior, like the other locations, is very aesthetically pleasing. Staff, as always, is helpful in answering questions and making recommendations. Came here for the family and friends event and we had such an amazing time! This location is sooo beautifully made. I got the mulberry oolong with osmanthus jelly, which is one of my favorite drinks. My husband got the Cassia milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi. It gave the taste of coffee that he craved without the caffeine. My friends also enjoyed the Manor black tea! The to go drink holder was so cute and fit perfectly in our car's cup holder. Overall, we had such a nice visit. Last time I went, I had to wait almost an hour and they said they had to remake it because it didn't taste right? This drink is unlike anything I've tried at my other go-to boba shops. I was able to customize sweetness to my liking and I also added their vanilla cloud foam. I got the Cassia Milktea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi, perfect sweetness and I really liked it! Perfect sweetness is not too sweet at all - just right. The tapiochi are easy to chew and are a nice addition to the milktea. Torotea opened a new location so you no longer have to drive all the way to Diamond Bar. I love that they offer coffee flavored drinks without any caffeine for people who want the taste late in the day. It looks busy since people hang out outside but I got my drink in under 10 minutes. They have all the toppings on display so you know exactly what you're getting. I tried a sample of the Pinewood milk tea and liked it so much I ordered it. HOWEVER, one only thing that I would change is to have the ability in their systems and in the back to be able to adjust things. I was excited to hear that a CH location was coming- as soon as I heard that they were doing their soft open on Monday, I drove through the rain to try. Unfortunate there were no soft opening promos. Decor was cool--similar Japan-inspired design like the DB location, but this one features darker rust-colored walls which made it feel darker (a bit cavernous) (or was it because it was dark and rainy?). They still offer samples which is nice, the menu is the same (haven't been able to get to the OG location in a while- when did they rebrand their tapioca mochi as tapiochi :O?) But.... upon getting my favorite drink ever, I was disappointed. Misty oolong milk tea with black tea tapioca mochi is my go to.. My husband and I do try some of the other MTs but this is always our favorite... So I hyped it up to the friend I was with and.. we were pretty disappointed. He hadn't gotten this one before, but he got the topping before, and we both agreed the texture wasn't quite the same (a bit harder than normal?) But the milk tea taste didn't seem right.... Even when Torotea gets a bit repetitive because I've had it too much, Misty Oolong always had an exciting taste.. I hadn't gotten torotea in a while and I didn't feel excited about the taste.. Like it was fine, but it didn't feel the same. I brought home the same drink (with no ice) for my husband and he also had the same feeling...
