I will cherish when I am able to come back because it's a drive for me. I was in the area for another foodie situation so I came to get myself their popcorn drink. This drink is unlike anything I've tried at my other go-to boba shops. I was able to customize sweetness to my liking and I also added their vanilla cloud foam. The shop inside is a tad small, the line is out the door most of the time because of this and has a moody lighting vibe. Drinks took about ten to fifteen minutes. utterly obsessed with their brown sugar "tapiochi" which has the perfect texture. i much prefer the tapiochi over brown sugar bobas. cassia and popcorn are our household favorites for more traditional milk tea. perfectly sweet not too sweet with right amount of creaminess. i have tried the ember which was too light in flavor for me. definitely mobile order ahead! if not, the small seating area is a good place to hang out and wait for your drinks. read more

Torotea opened a new location so you no longer have to drive all the way to Diamond Bar. I love that they offer coffee flavored drinks without any caffeine for people who want the taste late in the day. It looks busy since people hang out outside but I got my drink in under 10 minutes. They have all the toppings on display so you know exactly what you're getting. I tried a sample of the Pinewood milk tea and liked it so much I ordered it. I've been here three times, and this is hands down the worst milk tea I've ever had. The cassia milk tea tasted like stinky feet. The popcorn drink was straight up gross. And the osmanthus tea tasted like soap. None of these were drinkable. At this point it's clear this isn't bad luck or ordering wrong, the drinks are just bad. I was excited to hear that a CH location was coming- as soon as I heard that they were doing their soft open on Monday, I drove through the rain to try. Unfortunate there were no soft opening promos. Decor was cool--similar Japan-inspired design like the DB location, but this one features darker rust-colored walls which made it feel darker (a bit cavernous) (or was it because it was dark and rainy?). They still offer samples which is nice, the menu is the same (haven't been able to get to the OG location in a while- when did they rebrand their tapioca mochi as tapiochi :O?) But.... upon getting my favorite drink ever, I was disappointed. Misty oolong milk tea with black tea tapioca mochi is my go to.. My husband and I do try some of the other MTs but this is always our favorite... So I hyped it up to the friend I was with and.. we were pretty disappointed. He hadn't gotten this one before, but he got the topping before, and we both agreed the texture wasn't quite the same (a bit harder than normal?) But the milk tea taste didn't seem right.... Even when Torotea gets a bit repetitive because I've had it too much, Misty Oolong always had an exciting taste.. I hadn't gotten torotea in a while and I didn't feel excited about the taste.. Like it was fine, but it didn't feel the same. I brought home the same drink (with no ice) for my husband and he also had the same feeling... Wait for the grand opening and a couple months after to come here. Took me 25 mins to receive my drink due to the "matcha drink not looking right." I was overhearing the manager multiple times to the workers in the back to focus on making the matcha drink because they were making other drinks for customers that came after me. Given they apologized once due to the delay but the disorganization in the back and lack of customer service for waiting for almost half an hour for three drinks was a no-go for me. After trying the popcorn milk tea, with brown sugar tapioca, the other day at Torotea's Diamond Bar location, I decided to give it a try here, too, as I was curious if there was any difference. Compared to the original location, in DB, this location has a better parking situation. Also, it is a bit darker inside compared to the original location. After about 10 minutes of placing my order, I got my drink at the counter and took a sip. There was more of a tea taste and stronger popcorn taste this time around. There is a drink for everyone here, you just have to try them and figure out which is to your taste! They are each unique craft milk teas and tea, and each one is going to be someone's unique preference. Drinks are great and I'm happy to have a Torotea even closer to me. My favorite is the misty oolong milk tea with black tea tapiocchi. I have tried the koan-im milk tea, koan-im tappiocha (chino hills exclusive), popcorn milk tea, roasted barley tea, uva milk tea, and more. I recommend any because I think you just have to figure out exactly which one you like, they're all different. I am planning to try the oojicha and matcha einspanners eventually. The employees are all friendly and very nice, they seem sweet. The ambience is a warmer, darker orange-y cave color, with soft warm lights and clay home vibes. I take my dog with me to order & pick up some drinks for my family, as dogs are allowed. :) The location is at the back/main area of the plaza as you enter (from the two entries/exits, it would be parallel to the plaza's third entry/exit), and to the right besides where dollar tree was/is. read more
