Came here on a Saturday and it was absolutely packed. I'm pretty sure everyone stopped by after hiking, which was actually really great to see. I love that small businesses are getting so much support. The ambiance inside is moody and earthy, almost like a Tulum-inspired vibe. There's a little window where the kitchen hands out orders, and it added such a cute touch to the space. Since they're still in their soft opening phase, a few items weren't available yet, including oat milk, which I usually get with my matcha. I ended up trying something new; a black tea called Uva tea. It was surprisingly delicious, and I got it with the crème brûlée cream top. The cream was caramelly, smoky, and so good. pretty decor! it looks like a cute boba cave! they have a wide selection for their most popular drinks & i would say anything with their tapiochi is pretty solid. we got their cassia milk tea & creme brulee ice milk - i think we preferred their creme brûlée more, but just make sure to drink from the top or really mix otherwise just taste the milk when you use a straw. the service was quick & they were able to get through a line of 20 pretty fast within 10 min we had our drink! read more

The tea quality at the chino hills location is inferior to the diamond bar one. I do like the taste itself, and the place itself is extremely nice. Ambiance is cozy and the staff are exceedingly friendly. The drinks lean on the sweet side, though, and are pretty pricy for the amount + quality. I wouldn't come here over other boba shops if I was truly craving a good hearty milk tea but if I just want a casual sip with friends at a nice spot this is good. I recommend Koan-Im MT or Osmanthus Citrus Refresher. Personally, the popcorn MT is not my favorite, tastes a lot like the multigrain bars you get as a kid on the go. read more

Torotea, which has other locations in Diamond Bar and San Marino, has been my favorite 626 tea spot the past year-- I think it's dethroned Chi Cha San Chen and 3Cattea in terms of tea quality and selection. Because I frequent their other locations, I recently stopped by to try this location== their drinks are just as good as the other Toros, so definitely stop by to try their teas (especially if you've been bored of Omomo). Torotea's teas feature drinks with several different flavor profiles (varying levels of sweetness, astringency, tartness, etc.). This includes florals, creamy blacks, roasts, einspanners, and cocktail-like fruit teas. All of their teas have a subdued, but clear and pronounced flavors-- which are excellent indicators of perfectly steeped teas that are devoid of added flavorings. (The only drink that is the exception to this is their popcorn milk tea, which is probably the sweetest drink on the menu.) Torotea doesn't include boba in their toppings-- instead, the topping of choice are jellies that are made in house. They're firm, but also have a nice gelatinous "chew." The black sugar tapiochi is great with milk teas, and they also have other offerings like osmanthus and barley jellies. (If you aren't sure what jelly goes with which drink, order from their signature menu.) You cannot go wrong with any drink-- my favorites include the Mulberry Oolong (sour and refreshing), the Uva Milk Tea (a smooth and sweet black tea), and their Barley Tea (order it with barley jelly). Service is quick, the interior is tasteful, and there's free samples and spa water to try while you wait. read more

Stopped by as a party of 3 for a cup of tea and ordered the mulberry oolong tea with light sugar and my cousin got the Cassia milk tea with tapiochi at perfect sugar. Both were yummy, with even the cassia milk tea being pretty light and malty and mine a light fruity flavor. I've never experienced a bubble tea shop that refuses to let customers remove toppings, especially when the price stays the same. If I'm paying the full price, I should be able to choose not to have a topping I don't want. I've been to the Diamond Bar location many times, and they always allow me to remove toppings or even switch to a different one without any issues. Came here on opening day, I think because of the rain it wasn't too busy, so the line was surprisingly short at least compared to the Diamond bar location. The staff was very friendly and explained the menu in detail. The cafe itself is very cute and aesthetic although not much space for sitting other than waiting for your drink. I ordered the popcorn boba with brown sugar tapiochi, which is one of my favorites, but they forgot the syrup! They added it after asking, but maybe it was just because they were busy on opening day. They do have a location exclusive drink that resembles a blended frappucino, I was told, although I did not try it myself. I am glad this location opened closer to the IE and will be back! read more

Torotea is such a great addition to the Chino/Chino Hills food scene. I stopped by during their soft opening and a few things stood out to me. Higher prices here compared to their other location (about 5% increase). Drinks also taste more watered down and less "rich". I had my go-to crème brûlée ice milk and probably wouldn't get it again at this location until they streamline their recipe. As highlighted by others already, the ambience is still top notch. Chino Hills location soft opening! I'm sure a lot of us have been waiting. Line was short right when they opened. Drinks were same quality as their DB location. Tried their new koan im tapioccino but it was kinda sweet. I'll probably go with my standards next time. Store area is a tad bit smaller than the other ones but they have some seating outside for waiting area. Overall great experience! They don't have milk alternatives (from what I was told by the worker) which was unfortunate for me as I'm lactose intolerant, but honestly that's on me. The only downside is that it is very small inside so I wouldn't really recommend sitting inside when you already have your drink (it's more like a waiting for your drink area). It's popular for a reason, it's sweet but also salty from the popcorn flavor which is such a unique taste I've ever had in a milk tea. I have been to Torotea many times, mainly at the Diamond Bar location, but chino hills occasionally whenever I'm in the area for grocery shopping and decided to finally leave a review. I absolutely love Torotea. I'm a creature of habit and since the very first visit, I have always ordered the osmanthus citrus refresher with the osmanthus jelly. My wife likes to switch it up from time to time, but her drink of choice is the manor milk tea with brown sugar mochi. However, during our last visit (chino hills) my wife got the Cassia Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi and I stuck with my usual, osmanthus citrus refresher with osmanthus jelly. No matter the location (Diamond Bar or Chino Hills), the staff has always been really friendly and helpful. The owners are super friendly and kind when you can spot them, to me anyway. We haven't tried the San Marino location, but I'll stop by there soon. All of my visits have been pleasant so far and I'll keep returning. 5/5 from me for sure. read more

One drink is enough to get you hooked. I ordered the cassia milk tea on their website. When I arrived, the line started to get long and I didn't want to interrupt the cashier but luckily another employee came out and I got his attention to grab my order or I don't know if he came out to check for online orders. Hopefully there's some kind of a clearer system for that bc I don't want to interrupt the cashier if they're talking. But the staff is nice and the interior is unique and calming as you can see from people's photos. It is small so I can foresee the line going out the door so I recommended preordering if you want/can. The drink was absolutely tasty and their menu looks amazing that I want to try all of them. Usually I stick to one or two usuals but I definitely want to try everything here.
