Totally a surprise to find this place! We were walking through the Promenade shopping center at dinner time and walked into this place. Holy hell, it was good. They start out with a basket of chips and we selected a salsa with roasted corn and pinto beans. It was flavorful without a ton of heat. A really nice start to things! My husband got the beef tacos and fried plantains. OH MY GOD. They served three tacos with so much smoky barbecue goodness!!! I got the enchilada verde which were smothered and covered in a rich, creamy cheese sauce and green salsa. And, although my husband ordered them, I helped him out with the plantains. Such a nice crust on them from the cooking process. But the STAR OF THE SHOW was the avocado ice cream which we got for our 4 year old... Never had it? You're missing out! This is one of my favourite place for when I want to have spicy yet savory food.. the lights, the music just perfect to match friday mood. I have been to this place a couple of times and one thing that I always always order is their Nachos. They are topped with black beans, guacamole, cheddar cheese, shredded chicken and fresh jalapeño. It's flavourful and zesty!! Other than this their Adobo chicken fajita is to die for. citrus tequila shrimp fajita was a bit of disappointment, it didn't really tingle my taste buds but overall it's a great place for those who like Mexican food and it's an awesome place to hangout with friends and have fun!! read more

Never had a complaint with this place. Perfect for a quick snack, drink & dessert or full blown meal. One of the best margaritas in the LV and killer tacos to boot. Perfect combo. Servers are always friendly and attentive, as are the managers, Tim and Alex. Great teamwork on everyone's part - food is always out on time and glasses are never empty. Monterrey tacos are a highlight, the tuna is killer and the guacamole is a must-have. For dessert, the tres leches cake with avocado ice cream is a unique treat. Perfect addition to the Promenade shops! Love the decor, service is so friendly! We were there for the pre-opening and was able to sample the menu. We shared the nachos with pulled pork which was really good and could be a meal in itself! I've never liked guacamole but I'm a fan of theirs! I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly for me and my husband has the quesadillas which was beautifully presented and he said was also delicious! I've never had a bad experience at Torre, and as someone seeking plant based options, I was very pleased with my last dinner and compelled to write a review. We had a lovely waitress who happened to be vegetarian (what luck we had since we were looking for vegetarian/vegan options). Not only did she ask us questions about our comfort with food being cooked on shared surfaces as meat (never have I had such a conscientious server), but she later came to us with a marked up menu for future dining. She mentioned that they actually had a "vegetarian menu" where Torre has pulled out the vegetarian options from the main menu so you can easily find veg-friendly fare. She also marked down how you could veganize the items on this menu. The food was really tasty, good drinks, fair prices, and the vibe inside is casual chic. This has got to be one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! Everything was absolutely fabulous! Our waitress was exceptional. Very friendly and knowledgeable. At one point she even brought small samples over of two different beers for my boyfriend to try since he was having a hard time deciding. She really went above and beyond. All employees for that matter were friendly and even the manager came over to see how everything was for us. You don't see that much anymore and it was nice to see this place is one of the few around who still cares. As far as food goes, again absolutely incredible. We had the calamari for an appetizer which was truly the best calamari I've ever had. The sauce that came with it was also very tasty and it paired well with the calamari taste. I'd come back just for their calamari. I also had a salad then as my main dish which was also delicious. I truly thoroughly enjoyed every part of my meal. They also give everybody complimentary veggies. It was an assortment of different veggies with some type of sauce over them. I didn't care too much for them just because I thought the sauce was a bit too spicy for me, but I thought it was a nice touch this place had. I honestly couldn't say one bad thing about Torre. It's not easy having dietary restrictions and eating Mexican but Torre delivered! Bridget our waitress was outstanding- she knew the menu and the options like the back of her hand ... and didn't write anything down!!! The carne asada had a good charred broiled flavor, she replaced the fries with grilled zucchini which was excellent, and brought cucumbers and carrots with the guacamole since I can't have chips. It should be noted when I mentioned my allergy to canola oil Bridget made sure they special grilled the zucchini. Wife had the mahi mahi tacos which were great. Torre missed the mark this time. I had visited during the summer and was blown away by the enchiladas del mar and casa guacamole. The service was exceptional and I should have written a review then. But, I didn't. I decided to take my girl friend out for her birthday dinner and knew Torre should be the place because of the impression they left on me earlier this year. I'm disappointed. A runner brought us some unappetizing pickled vegetables and spiced peanuts (what the...!?!?!?). My girl friend and I laughed and moved on. Next we ordered guacamole and chips, which were on point! We had a few drinks...the mojitos are amazing!! Then we ordered enchiladas, yuka fries, and plantains (pretty good...I liked the seasoning on the yuka and the side of creamy chipotle dipping sauce). However, the enchiladas, this visit, were average, at best. Our server was attentive and friendly, but did nothing that "wow'd" me. A manager even stopped by, but sometimes that's annoying. Here's why I gave only 3 stars... when I made the reservation, I made it a point to stress to the reservations girl, that it was girlfriend's birthday and I wanted it to be a special night. Let's start with this. I won't be going back. What do you typically expect at your table at a Mexican Restaurant, Salsa and Chips, right? Well, not here, they serve seasoned nuts and pickled veggies. Not bad, but not normal. I got the Mole Chicken. May be the worst I have ever had. The Mole sauce was like brown gravy. It was good chicken, quality and tenderness. And I have never had fried plantains with Mexican. The other meal was pulled pork tacos. Not with Mexican flavors, but with BBQ sauce, with habanero salsa. Again, not really Mexican. Now, the price. Torre is just an okay restaurant. Their food is usually hit or miss. Their bocadillos are good (especially the calamari, that's a must have!), guac is good. They serve you pickled veggies and spicy peanuts to start off with, which are okay, but not typically what I'm looking to start off my meal with. Their enchiladas are what I typically get because I'm usually disappointed if I order anything else. My favorite thing about Torre is the atmosphere. It is decorated very well, and I love the whole design aesthetic. The last thing I will say is that I am not a fan of going here for drinks. The food at this restaurant is great but it is not exactly Mexican. I ordered tacos with mole sauce and I was surprised that the tacos basically were grilled chicken in cubes with corn and fresh cheese. They came with a little bit of mole sauce on the bottom. These type of tacos should be with shredded chicken and mole sauce on top to cover the chicken. We were seated right away, service wasn't slow, wasn't fast, decor is BEAUTIFUL--they really did well in that area. Onto the food: I ordered the deep fried fish tacos (I forget the name) with a side of yuca fries. The food is on the pricier side, but I thought my food was quite good. The tacos weren't doubled up on corn tortillas, so eating the last taco was a bit messy. Yuca fries were fresh, hot, super crispy (which I love), and a good texture inside. It was a bit on the salty side though, because they really doused it in the seasoning, but nothing a few little scrapes with the finger couldn't fix. Overall it was enjoyable. Pricey for Mexican food, so I won't come here as frequently, but I wouldn't hesitate to go again and try other items on the menu. read more

The good: The food was excellent. Great flavor and presentation. The Pueblo Burrito had just the right amount of spice and wasn't greasy like you would expect from the Chorizo. The Roja salsa was good bit my wife and I prefer a little more heat so we would try something a little spicier next time. The Veracruz tacos were great. Big shrimp, large pieces of avocado and mango and corn salsa. It was hard to eat the tacos because everything fell out when you folded the small 3 inch shells. The Souther Tier 2XIPA was great. The bad: I thought it was pricey for the portions but it is in the middle of a shopping center so I'm sure the prices reflect the rent price and other overhead. Well got there about 4:30 with another couple for some drinks but received a little attitude because of lack of reservations for seating. Got to our seats, Got drinks and nachos, which both were good, not great. Our other couple came got drinks and apps but we never had silverware or napkins, had to ask for them. Meals came all good but not great. Asked for silverware again because server took everyone away after apps. We've been here two or three times and the food and service were great. Sat at the bar today and it was awful. The bartender seemed unhappy and was unwelcoming. She was eager to get our drink orders but basically disappeared when it was time to order food. Then, my order was made incorrectly even though we specifically discussed my request for an alternative sauce. My boyfriend asked for additional sauce for his tacos and by the time it arrived, his food was cold. Finally, the bartender continued to ignore us for the rest of our time; never checking in to see how our food was when it arrived or after our meal. We loved the nachos! (Brisket). We ordered the fajita trio and that was hugely disappointing. The veggies weren't cooked and the steak was really tough. For $40, it was a mess. We also had the brisket tacos (corn tortilla) and they were excellent. Our drinks were good (coconut tequila and another lemonade tequila drink). This was my 2nd visit here. It's a great location inside the promenade shopping center and on such a nice night with the open air dining it was a great atmosphere. It was packed with a trendy crowd and was moderately loud. Where this restaurant is lacking is in the food and drink selection. First with drinks it basically breaks down to margarita, sangria or an IPA (outside of Bud or Miller). Their beer selection is severely lacking, especially considering the large amounts of taps seen at most restaurants today. With food, outside of overpriced appetizers and sides you're left selecting from various tacos and a few enchiladas. If you're ok with a limited selection continue reading. I picked the Yucatán tacos which is house-smoked pulled pork, salsa habanero, pickled red onion. Between the pickled onion and salsa this meal is a texture disaster. Flavor is also lacking as all you can taste is the salsa and corn tortilla. I ordered a side of Yuca fries which were better than my meal, but for $5 you get 4 medium size "fries". We have always enjoyed Torre. From the drinks to the quality and quantity of food. However, this last visit, we were a bit unimpressed. They no longer offer chips and salsa on the house, you now have to purchase. That's fine, as we know COVID has affected the food industry in a big way. So to give you an idea of the occasion, we made a reservation for a party of 12 for a wedding reception expecting to be served with the standard in hospitality. However, this was not the case, not only was the food overpriced, the service was subpar. We expected to receive quality service to go with the overpriced food. To give you an idea, the vegetarian fajitas were priced at 18 dollars. Now because this was a wedding reception, we had been ordering drinks the entire time, and trying to make light of the situation. The fact that our server wasn't being attentive to making sure the bride and groom were being cared for on their day. I have worked for 4 course restaurants, and I understand when a kitchen is busy, entrees can take time, but not for a salad, that shouldn't take more than the time for entrees to come out. Not only did they take a long time for a salad, they took forever to get a cup of ice cream for the brides daughter, we had to take it to go because of the lag and delay. The final cherry on top, while closing out our tabs, one our party members was charged twice, her bill was only supposed to be 50 dollars for one person and she was charged 84 dollars twice. By far one of the worst experiences, worse than Taco Bell on a bad day, ridiculous. Please heed my warning, go anywhere else, I recommend you go to Tacos & Tequila or Plaza Azteca in Allentown.
