But today, I ordered to go and called them shortly after to let them know the guac was definitely made with unripe avocados. The food was slightly above average but it felt like the price was set up for food that would be well above average. First time there and honestly its so beautiful. I loved the decorations and the lights. Service was good and food came out pretty quick. Food had a nice flavor but i was so disappointed in the tacos. Honestly 12$ for 3 tiny tacos isn't worth it. I was really hoping to get good authentic mexican food and i was so disappointed. I should've just went the La Herencia El Camacho. This was our second time here. I wanted to love it but here's why I didn't. Our server- excellent Appetizer House guacamole- excellent House salsa- yuck! Way too much tomato paste flavor. It was inedible. Drinks- all excellent Main dish- pork belly tacos- okay Brisket tacos- yuck #2. My tacos were soggy. Way too much Mexican cheese. Huge disappointment to me because how can you mess up a taco in a restauraunt specializing in Mexican cuisine. So....I didn't send the dish back and instead ordered another. This time I had the mole de pollo. After all I had this the last time and it was excellent. WRONG....yuck #3. Chicken was basic and so thin. Looked like it was pounced out to death. The rice was terrible. Really, the rice was just not edible. Too much tomato paste. The plantains were okay though. My bill- $115 and I felt robbed. It just was not worth the money. Unless they would contact me and do some service recovery, I'm pretty sure I won't return. A big let down for sure and not the way I wanted to spend our anniversary dinner. This was my first time at Torre. I was on a first date with someone and they were never there either. It was super fun though. We had gotten a table, thanks to my date's preplanning to make a reservation otherwise there was an hour wait. We had Jared as our waiter. Jared had a great fun personality and totally rolled with my date and my humorous personalities. He was extremely attentive. My first drink i got the red sangria, as recommended by my friend. I didn't care for it and my date told Jared who immendiately offered me a replacement with a different drink and gave me recommendations. We only had drinks but the overall experience was awesome. I would defintely go back just for how acoomdating and friendly everyone was. It was a nice date spot as well. read more

Enjoyed dinner out with my honey. The Calamari appetizer was amazing. The sangria was only okay. Will try specialty drinks next time instead. They have a nice selection. My husband loved the beer selection. They are generous and patient providing samples. My husband enjoyed his pork belly tacos. My chicken enchilada was okay. Guacamole was good. Not from the area, but we had heard about Torre from friends, so we met up with some friends and decided to give the place a try. We were not disappointed: big beautiful room with soft lighting and cool Mexican decor. The Tequilla Tower behind the bar was a great centerpiece for the room Now on to the food: We were greeted promptly by a friendly host, and with five minutes were taken upstairs to a nice corner table. We ordered chips, salsa, & guacamole, which was brought immediately, the chips were fresh & warm, and the salsa & guacamole were also very fresh tasting. We ordered various entrees, all of which were described as delicious by all in our party. A standout was the strip steak, even better than most steak houses we have dined at. The Mexican dishes were presented nicely, by attentive staff who anticipated our needs and kept our water glasses full. We were too full from the generous portions for desert, but I assume that they would be wonderful as well. I highly recommend this great new addition to the local eateries :) read more

Upon hearing about the new Torre, I immediately gathered up all of my fellow officemate foodies for a special trip to this new place. We ordered fish tacos and enchilada sonora and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, the generous portion sizes, and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The manager stopped by our table to inform us of the bar specials in case we want to go there for Happy Hour. Everything was fresh and delicious. People are very friendly and attentive. Food was very disappointing. My friend and I went to have lunch. I had the fish taco which was so small it left me very hungry afterwards. My friend had the Barbecue sandwich was all bread and had hardly any meat. Dessert was a big disappointment, it was only a tiny dried lime tart with a dab of ice cream . Every time I'm deciding to go out to eat this place always pops into my mind. I love the promenade shops. The entire place is beautiful and perfect for a night out and Torre is a beautiful restaurant. I love the alcohol tower that changes color! I usually do the tacos because they are easy and cheap and I have tried other foods and it was good. The food may not be absolutely amazing but it is definitely good! Definitely worth a try and worth coming back in the future. The service is good too at this place! I would recommend that they get more dessert choice and be more creative with the dessert. read more

Yes this place is done up very nice but it is pricey for ok food. We were a party of three and our first time here. None of us were overly impressed that we would come back. I had the pork tacos and they were average and not very hot when they arrived at the table. There was something hard in the meat. When the server asked how everything was I said it was ok and no one asked why I said ok. The drinks are over priced. My friends ordered the special margaritas and were shocked at the bill time. They were $16.00 each really!!!! My tap beer Dog fish head 60 minute was 7.00 but I knew that ordering it but still pricey. So for two beers and three average pork tacos with tip cost me $30.00 and I only ate 1 1/2 tacos and brought the rest home which I will most likely toss = a very expensive night out for not so good food. Oh and the mango habanero sauce was missing on most of my tacos and the one that is was on was overly sweet. Good luck Torre! read more

We went here for dinner after work and enjoyed ourselves. We had called ahead to see if we needed reservations, and the hostess said no, but we let her know when we would arrive. I did not know this but the restaurant is owned by a group that owns several restaurants in the shopping center. The interior is very modern and clean. We were seated and staff provide complimentary appetizers of pickled vegetables and roasted peanuts. Our waitress was nice and helped us with the menu since it was our first time, but she seemed overworked although it wasn't very busy. We ordered the casa guacamole which I think has been the best guacamole that I've had that hasn't been spiced. It was very creamy and delicious. I had the 3 brisket tacos which were delicious and filling. We were surprised that the restaurant charges side dishes separately, but with the amount of food in the tacos we weren't wanting. We would have loved to have gotten dessert but we were too full. This is a nice place with good food that is priced for its value. read more

Went with a group of friends - Torre is AMAZING and what we so NEEDED in the lehigh valley. Gives a whole new meaning to Mexican food - honestly amazing ( was never a huge fan of Mexican in the US before going to Torre, honestly the food is even better than local places in Mexico). Margaritas are amazing - tequila they use is straight from Mexico super strong AND tastes awesome! We started off with guacamole with fruit which was delicious. We ordered several dishes to share - my favorite was the tuna ceviche and the "mole"chicken - seriously to die for! The atmosphere was awesome - love the tequila tower. GREAT MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN LEHIGH VALLEY If your experience with Mexican food is based on family owned Tex Mex establishments, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. This is an upscale restaurant with sophisticated food, highly professional management and good service. For the Lehigh Valley this is an unusual combination. The restaurant is on two levels with an upscale bar focused scene downstairs. The background noise can be a bit distracting so try and sit upstairs if you want things a bit calmer. Rather than the typical salsa and chips that is offered after you sit down, Torre offers unique plates of citrus marinated vegetables and nuts. My salad was terrific with a honey lime dressing, assorted greens, tomatoes and noodles. The Tortilla soup broth was well spiced and delicious. The carne asada (skirt steak) was cooked to perfection, seasoned appropriately and nicely sized. The fish dishes are well seasoned and not over cooked. Desserts are unique - a sugar tart with coconut ice cream. The tres leche with avocado ice cream was to die for. Sometimes, when you have a busy restaurant, the service will suffer. Torre shines here with a well-managed front of the house staff. Our server made great suggestions and was well versed on the menu. The staff pays attention and is constantly refilling water glasses. This restaurant is not inexpensive - entrees average $24, salads and soup approximately $8 but the food can rival any big City restaurant. All in all, this is one "10" and definitely should be on your Must Visit list. read more

It's been too long since I dined here but tonight, again, I was not let down. I am fussy when it comes to food prep and when I place an order, I like to get what I asked for. I requested my steak to be cooked other than how it was offered on the menu. It's never a problem at Torre.It was prepared as requested and it was delicious! The Chef, Hien, made it to perfection. I wanted to thank him but he had left the restaurant by the time I was able to tell him. Then we got a visit from the manager, Alex. He was truly interested in how we liked our dinner and he even offered to help me get in contact with the chef when I told him that I lost my chance to thank him for a great steak. Great job Torre!! I was super excited to go there because I wanted an amazing Margarita and some nachos. Called first and asked about outside seating so I could bring my Yorkie along. She said sure but it's first come first serve and right now the outside seating is all filled up. I said we will come and take our chances. Let me start off by saying the only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the excellent waitress, whose name I can't remember. When we first arrived, we stood at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes with 4 people refusing to make eye contact with us. More people walked in behind us and I truly felt as if I was intruding on their space by being there. I was tempyed to walk out because I felt so awkward. Here I am, waiting to give you money and I can't even get a "hello" from one person? There were two men in suits and two young girls standing there and finally, the older guy in the suit looked up and asked if thr high top community table was ok. When I asked how long the wait was for a regular table, he said "um I don't know, three hours?" and the hostess showed us to the community table. We started off with the fruta guacamole ($11), which was pretty good but I found it lacked a balance. Very sweet, but not enough red onion or cilantro to counteract the sweetness. Anyway, it was pretty good. I just doubt I'd order it again. I ordered the fish tacos, which were very good. I liked how they used blue corn tortilla chips as a crust. In addition to my meal, my aunt ordered one of the chicken tacos but she said they were flavorless. When the waitress asked what she thought, she was honest and the waitress offered to bring her something else. She had chicken verde enchiladas and she said she wasn't blown away by them either, but continued to eat. I would probably come back here, probably for drinks and tapas, but I would hope to receive better service from the hostess station. They gave me a really bad first impression, unfortunately. The food was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. I prefer Mesa's guacamole in Easton and you get a much larger portion, as well. Have to mention the great waitress again. I was really waiting for this place to open. My wife and I went in for our first time and walked out unsure if we would return. We really liked the energy and ambiance but the it seemed like they just tried too hard and charged too much. The food was all way too smokey and fancy but didn't really have any great taste or flavor to justify the price. The margaritas were good and that's probably all we will come back for. Went here a few nights ago. First visit since the place opened. Best feature continues to be the cool ambience. Service is spotty, food is just ok and margaritas simply Do. Not. Cut. It. $9.50 for a house margarita. $30 for a pitcher (which'll get you 4-5 pours). Tequila still MIA. Mixer lacks tartness. Just ... Disappointing. Casa Toro, about two miles south in Coopersburg, outperforms Torre in every factor that counts. I don't anticipate giving this place a third chance. read more

Went to Torre today for a last minute brunch. As always the food was delish! My favorite items on the menu are the enchiladas verde or de mar, which i did order. The Nachos are also another great choice on the menu. The waitress, Dina, was great! Always made sure my drink was filled. I recommend this restaurant to all my clients. First visit to Torre was NYE. Generally a night that you won't find a restaurant at their best, let alone a new restaurant. Not so at Torre! Our party started the night with Sangria and Margaritas. Both were great. We actually mentioned some of the negative reviews of each here and the server recognized that thet had seen them and corrected it. They have! We then went for apps of Empanadas, Quesadilla and Calamari. All tasted great, calamari was a little over cooked for me but still good. They also have 5 different guacamole recipes prepared fresh to order and delivered unmixed, you mix it yourself. Fun! We went for the guac with jumbo lump crab, scallions, jicama, chopped tomatillo, delicious! Next came our ceviche course! We went with the sampler of Mahi Mahi, Yellow Fin and Shrimp, all three were great! Dinner for me was the Carne Asada, grilled marinated skirt steak, salsa verde, yuca fries. Steak cooked to order perfectly well seasoned. Yuca fries were great. My wife had a enchilada. She's not a spicy food fan and found some of our dishes a little to hot for her, another in are party is a hot food fan and found them not hot enough. Let's call it balanced well. I found it all good, foods I expected hot were those not, weren't . Dessert was the Kahlúa flan. Just get it and don't complain about being full. Best I've had. Service was very good, perhaps a little fast but for NYE, they were turning the tables well with no waits. Many more layers to this restaurant as we didn't get into the amazing Tequila menu. You can spend $10 on a plate of enchiladas or $28 on a filet here or just graze on everything else on the menu. Its upscale and the pricing reflects that but fairly priced for what you get. You clearly can less expensive Mexican in the Lehigh Valley but if a fun vibe with great food and the ability to flex your budget up or down Torre should be on your list of new restaurants to try in 2015! I went there for happy hour and and a bite to eat last night, unfortunately you cannot have the happy hour menu at the booths or tables. The stools in the bar area are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat on in a restaurant, big, round, slippery, and without backs. My friends and I spent the evening trying to balance and stay on the stools, one friend even gave up and decided to stand. I had fish tacos which were on the regular menu, they were tasty, but the portion was very small for the price. Three tacos come in an order and each taco was just one bite full, rice and beans were each priced as a side order. I was hoping for good things from this restaurant, but I do not think I will be back. read more

Beautiful restaurant. Nice family place but was not a fan of the food. I thought it was going to be Mexican food but it didn't really taste good. Not authentic Mexican food; it taste like they just poured hot spice on the food. At first the hostess made it seem like we couldn't eat unless we had a reservation but she sat us down on high tables because we didn't have any reservations which is fine i guess.
