Because of this we were able to request a table by the window. WOWWWW. Such an amazing view. I wish I had good things to say about the food, but sadly I don't. Nothing my wife and daughter had was memorable as I write this review a week later. But my burger I had is memorable and not in a good way. In the states, we would call us a lunchroom Berger. From a school cafeteria. I was very disappointed in it. Our server was absolutely amazing and then because you've been there for lunch, turned us over to another server who was even better. The management and servers here were so nice. My rating is on the food.

We were really hungry and disappointed with their food as we picked this place out of many since their Google reviews seemed high. They offered to remake our meals but we had to go.

I do believe the menu changes seasonally/semesterly, so I will have to come back to try a new menu! You pay a flat fee of $40 for bread that is baked at the schools bakery, an appetizer of your choosing, an entree of your choosing, and also a dessert. This time I had some sort of sausage ball for my app, steak frites which was a special for my entree, and the chocolate raspberry tart. I would get everything again. The server even asked if we were celebrating anything special, and we just said that I was back in town and they wrote Welcome Home on my dessert plate! Such a special touch that will stick with me.

The meal always starts with fresh baked bread service that is accompanied by butter, house pickles and either a hummus or garlic confit (in my experience). My mom is gluten free so she was bought her own dish with focaccia and a roll. She was over the moon about that and really enjoyed the focaccia. We all enjoyed every bit of our meal which included our choice if an appetizer, main dish and dessert from a prix fixe menu for $40. Some of our choices included charcuterie, arugula salad, tamarind shrimp curry, salmon and lemon meringue cheesecake. We left with our culinary needs satisfied and our stomachs full... we even had some leftovers. I can't wait to go back again. It's best to make reservations as they usually get fully booked. At first glance, it looks like a basic ice cream shop that also happens to have a kiosk where you can order burgers, hot dogs, and fries. We figured it would be a quick, decent lunch before heading back to the falls. Instead, we got the tastiest surprise. These burgers came out hot, fresh, and perfectly smashed with those crispy, caramelized edges that make smash burgers so addictive. Then came the real MVP: the spicy Flip Sauce. I would happily put that stuff on just about anything. The rest of the family stuck with the regular Flip Sauce and promptly started dunking their fries in it like it was liquid gold. Speaking of fries, one order was plenty for our family to share--which left more room for ice cream. Because yes... they have ice cream too. Naturally, we had to "sample" it for quality control, and it was the perfect ending to lunch. My only tiny complaint? Bottled sodas instead of fountain drinks. That's it. That's the list. Moral of the story: don't judge a restaurant by its ordering kiosk. If you're spending the day at the falls, eat here.
