Here are the cliff notes: -Referred to salt water restoration by a family friend that has referred a lot of business their way. -Get insurance approval and the work begins. Bathroom is torn apart, toilet removed and drywall is put in. -All monies from the insurance company are released to salt river restoration. I literally handed the person in charge of the job a $5k check. -Company keeps telling me they cannot complete the project because they have not been paid. -I keep sending proof of the payments including proof from the insurance company and my bank statements over and over. (Only monies not paid out are $500 that were to be paid by the insurance company once the work was complete) -Keep being told over and over they cannot find the money. -Talk to representative at the company (this is after two years) and threaten legal action. -Money is all of a sudden found. -Tell them I expect all of my monies returned as I will not be doing business with them as they blatantly lied to me about not having my money and have made myself and my wife feel like liars when they literally were sitting on our money. -Find out the person in charge of the job was fired because of this situation. Did he pocket the money and this is why it wasn't found? -Have continued outreach to the representative that keeps telling me he is taking the issue up to his executive team with no answers. -Threaten legal action again along with letting them know I will be going to the BBB, the insurance company and getting my lawyer involved. And here we are today...Two years without a finished bathroom with an exposed toilet opening. I have been beyond patient with this company and have asked over and over for them to do the right thing and give me back my money as they are holding it hostage. The only work they completed was putting up some drywall. I am fed up and will now start sharing my story everywhere I can.

Consider this a friendly warning to homeowners: do your homework. After digging deeper, I was fortunate to find ASAP Restoration. One thing that immediately stood out is that they do not work referral deals with plumbers, do not pay kickbacks, and do not play games with deductibles. They simply focus on doing the job correctly. The team was extremely professional. The mitigation/demo crew handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly, and the reconstruction team has been excellent. We're now about 90% finished with the rebuild and everything is coming together great. I just felt the need to share my experience before heading out for spring break. Another company told me they'd have to tear out the bathroom to check for mold. I called Arizona's Restoration Experts for a second opinion. Jesse & Chase came out right away to check. They did a moisture check of the inside wall / base boards, and at my request, widened up the existing wall opening and checked for moisture / mold. To my relief they found the panels around the drain to be dry and clear of mold, but just to be safe they sprayed a microbial agent on the walls to prevent any future mold. Jesse and Chase refused to accept any payment for this inspection, although they saved me a huge headache of having to tear up the bathroom as suggested by the other company. I have a friend in a lawsuit now with them because the sued her for over $2500.00 just for coming out for free inspection and leaving their air dryers. Nothing else was done, but she signed that contract on the phone that the employee said was just a paper saying he come out to do the inspection. There was no lasting damage to her house and she did not need any services from any companies. I HAVE ATTACHED A COPY OF THEIR CONTRACT (the one they will have you sign on the employees phone). On their invoice to her they charged with tax: (I also attached the invoice) $298.04 for the phone call to them asking for the free inspection $83.89 for air dryers $791.44 cancellation fee $944.15 for the employees they sent to do inspection and come back to pick up air dryers $423.50 inflation fee $110.86 sales tax Also attached SOME of the courts when cases where Thomas Restoration has filed lawsuits against people who had signed that contract on the day they came out for inspection. I hired Owo to clean and seal the grout at a house we have by ASU. It was rented out to college…read morestudents so to say the grout was in rough shape is an understatement. At first I was a little shocked at the price but I didn't realize the amount of work that went into it. The cleaning is only a small portion of the cost. Its the sealing (and re-staining the grout) that costs so much because its a very manual process on your hands and knees applying the stain/sealant. Owo was there from about 10 AM to 6 PM. He did an AMAZING job. The grout and tile has gone back in time and now looks brand new again. Its pricey, but worth it. If your tile/grout looks really dirty, its really not worth just cleaning it.
