They had great street tacos. The place was always warm/hot though. It closed about a month ago and became Japanese take out.

Food was delicious and fresh. I definitely recommend the steak sopa: super crispy with a lot of flavor. Verde enchiladas are super flavorful for anyone who likes a little spice. A little less Tex Mex and a little more authentic than other restaurants in town (bc both have their place). Service isn't the best, but the plates made up for it. read more

Very poor service!! We ordered takeout and it took 50 minutes!!! We ordered 3 meals when we went to pick up they gave us 1 small bag of chips!! We said that is all the chips we get he said yes!! The Salsa was very thin like water it really looked like Grease in a cup!!!! The cheese was very thin like water ugh!!!! A friend of mine has suggested this restaurant in V Paris, Texas because she said it was authentic and yummy. But was she right. I got shrimp tostadas and the shrimp was cold and covered with cilantro and pico de gallo. They were on tostados with guacamole. My friends didn't want her crumbled cheese and our other friend didn't want her sour cream so I added them to my tostada was even better and it had already been pretty darn good. I definitely will remember to stop eat here the next time I drive this way. read more

Great Mexican food! The most authentic food around for sure! Gorditas are just like in Mexico!

I think I ordered wrong. My enfrijoladas were fairly bland. The Jamaica agua fresca was delicious, though, and the service was great and the restaurant clean. I would go back and try something else. read more

This was the worst/ coffee sucked / order was wrong / service sucked even worse and the food gave me diarrhea so if you need a good poop by all means eat here. If I could give this negative stars that would be great because that's the best it would get negative 5 stars the server never ask how my food was or if I needed anything tossed my plate on the table an left never to be seen again my order was wrong and they still charged me full price for the wrong things never bothered to check meat tasted old, chorizo was hamburger. Love this little cozy Authentic Mexican food restaurant. Can get crowded through lunchtime. Has pictures of all the dishes in the back of the menu so you know what you are getting. Fluffy rice! Two choice of extra sauces can compliment your food choice if you like individualized flavor. read more

That was a spectacular lunch! If you've read my reviews, then you know I don't like Mexican food, as a general rule, and you have probably noticed that Husband keeps taking me to them. I try not to let my dislike of the cuisine color my reviews negatively. After all, it's not their fault that Husband and I have different preferences. I do let it color my reviews positively. If you can impress someone who doesn't even like the cuisine you serve, you deserve some serious stars. We came in about half an hour before they closed. And we were afraid we were late because there was nobody else there. But this didn't9. scare us off. Right away a peppy young woman came out from the back. She was wearing a mask! Yea! And half of the tables and booths had signs saying you couldn't sit there because of social distancing. I like that. The peppy young woman said we could sit where we liked, so we did. She gave us menus and took our drink orders. Then she came back with our drinks and chips and salsa. The chips were good. They were thick and substantial chips. Husband like the salsa so much that he not only ate his, but mine as well. The peppy young woman took our orders and brought the food out in a timely manner. Husband got enchiladas and I got a chicken sandwich. It had a Spanish name, but basically it was a chicken sandwich. And a yummy one at that. It came with either rice and beans or fries. I chose fries. Husband enjoyed his enchiladas. I loved my sandwich. The chicken was very moist and tasty. It was seasoned, but not so strongly that I found it unpleasant. The bread was soft, but didn't fall apart. It was just an all around good sandwich. The fries were probably the frozen kind. That was fine. The ones out the bag are perfectly fine. Great food, perfectly sized meals. We ordered the street taco's and were very good. Had to ask for onions and cilantro to be removed, to which they did. The three meat fajitas were amazing. Came with rice and beans, again perfectly portioned. Deserts were inhaled, took a little while to get, but worth the wait. Cheesecake and Churro's was ordered. I have been hesitant to try Mexican food (in Texas), as living in Arizona for 30+years, was use to a certain way. Would we come here again, heck YES! Best Mexican food in Paris, Texas. This is not Tex-Mex, so if you love Tex-Mex and think it's the best Mexican available then skip this place because I have discovered from friends and family that if you like Tex-Mex you will not like authentic Mexican. If you like Jalapeño Tree, El Chico, On the Border, Two Senoritas etc. keep eating there and give us authentic Mexican food connoisseurs a break from your bitching, whining, complaining, no tipping attitudes and stick to the dumps you like. Torres Mochas has actual authentic Mexican food. I had "Bistec Ranchero" - steak morsels cooked till tender, then lightly fried w/ onions, bellpeppers, & jalapeños w/ sides of Arroz (rice), frijoles, & 3 homemade flour tortillas. The food was served artistically, elegantly. It was - appealing. * The seasonings, & "lack of greasiness" were unlike any of the other Tex-Mex I've had before. The green & red sauce condiments were just as striking (I tried them on my food to taste them - the food needed no sauce). * Oooh, so delectable... * The wait staff was engaging, informative, & attentive to my dining needs. * The sense of the mood was homey & refreshing. 90's style soft Mexican music in the background. * I will be going back, soon... - FYI - * The restaurant is named after a town in Mexico, now San Felipe, formerly - Torres Mochas, 1 of 46 municipalities comprising Guanajuato. * They explained. We stopped here on our way to Oklahoma. Such a great find! Amazing vegetarian options! We ordered Spinach-mushroom quesadillas , potato tacos & custom made mushroom tacos. Everything was so good. We really liked their salsas as well. Horchata & Jamaica were perfect too, not too sugary like most other places. read more

Food is good...portions r tiny...I ordered a shredded beef burrito rice and beans...when it was delivered I asked the waitress to see the menu so I could order more food...she blew me off, guess she thought I was kidding...Mexican food is cheap to make...portions should b larger....service not the greatest....left hungry...not thrilled... read more

I usually go to this restaurant not too far from this location and since I had been wanting to try it I stopped by one evening with my mother in law. We both ordered tacos and let me just say the flavor wasn't there. The meat seemed like they just cooked it without any kind of seasoning. We ended up leaving paying way too much for what we ordered.
