I hate clothes shopping. I'm disabled so it's a struggle, and I never know what looks good on me, and I usually just go around in a T-shirt and jeans. I am so happy someone recommended Torrid to me! I needed an outfit for a celebration of life so I was mostly looking for black clothes. Everyone at this store is so nice, and like others have mentioned here, I was especially delighted by Jennifer's attention and help. She picked out wonderful items and helped me figure out what fit best. I really like the range of what's offered and I now have a new go-to place for clothes for any occasion at all. 5 stars for customer service here. Some days I'm not in the mood to shop because clothes shopping is just not my fave. But these ladies are always giving good vibes and positive energy - no matter what. Returns are fairly easy. I returned some pants that were outside the return window but they did give me a store credit as I had receipt and tags still on. If you find something you like and they don't have your size, they will offer to ship to you for free or if you want it immediately- they will look to see if another store has it and call and ask them to hold it for you. Torrid selection on clothing doesn't change much from year to year. Just updated patterns so my five star is for the stellar customer service I always receive here. read more

This was a beautifully decorated store, very inviting and pleasant to shop in. Even though I only came in for a return, Jennifer went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied with the process and made me feel so welcome to the point where I would come back just for that great energy as I shop again! A really great store. This is a bigger Torrid store than what is available in the Alderwood or North Gate malls and thus has a lot more selection of the newer items as well as clearance. You can enter from inside the mall or directly from the parking lot. The store is well lit and has the accessories in the center, next to the register. The cashier say hello when I enter and help when I want it, leave me alone when I don't. Torrid has dresses and professional clothing along with tees, sweaters, jeans, hoodies and exercise clothing. They have swimsuits, shorts and other summer apparel in season. Their clothes last. However, the sizes don't stay true between items, i.e., what fits you in a tee may not fit you in the same size as a jacket, so try things on. It depends on where it was made, season, etc. You get haute cash which is free money to spend at a future date depending on how much you spend at certain times. read more

Glad I chose this location that was recommended by my friend. I haven't worn a real bra since covid and finally wanted to try to find good ones. I've tried Soma, Victoria Secret. None were comfortable. As soon as I walked into Torrid I was greeted and helped right away. So happy with my purchase and their Customer Service was top notch. The store was clean and it had a large selection of clearance. I did not get greeted until I walked up to the register. It appears there was only one employee. I've been a torrid fan for over 6 years and buy nearly all my clothes here. It's a comfortable environment, dressing rooms are kept cooled and of course the CLOTHES! Colorful or grey! In a world with very few options for plus size women, Torrid is not the worst. But they're not great either. My experiences with their products has been mixed, though trends toward a poorer quality of material. I have bought leggings, tops, a halloween costume, boots, and some accessories here. I do like their leggings. They hold up fairly well, they will always have em, pretty affordable at 20 bucks for a basic pair. I just went yesterday and I got one pair for half off, as well as another fancy patterned pair for 2/3 off (10 bucks). Leggings are 75% of the reason I ever go to Torrid. Halloween costume was decent, but the originality and and quality didn't vary much from what you could get at a big halloween store/party store-cum-halloween store. And the price didn't compare favorably either. Nowadays most of those larger halloween stores carry some plus size options. Accessories have been fine, and I just bought the boots so we'll see how those go. For the largest part of their inventory, tops/dresses/jeans, I will never purchase from them again. I am always disappointed by the fit and quality of their clothes, which seems fine in store, but never ends up looking as good as it did at first. I might as well just throw my money away, these clothes hang in my closet, never used. This chain is a trendier, younger version of Lane Bryant. But their modus operandi is the same: poor quality overpriced clothes, because your customers are fat girls, so what else are they going to buy. If your at Factoria, I would go to Nordy's Rack for your general clothing needs. P.s. Tried to do a return on a pair of pants my mom purchased. I accidentally washed the receipt and we didn't have a email one so I figured having the card to purchase it with would help somewhat. The manager (Kathryn, caitlyn? Honestly I don't remember, one of the employees called her over) was very condescending and rude in her tone when I was explaining my situation. She said she can give me the price of the pants for what it's worth now which was a few dollars off. I asked just simply asked how much was it before (the tag was in her hand) and she very rudely and loud said "I can't tell because our prices are never the actual price on the tag" first off, I been shopping at torrid last for years, if I don't get the specific sale items in their promos then the price is always the original price. I said that's fine I just was curious of the difference and she had her eyes all big and blown up because she was frustrated with my situation? Please if you want to have customers come back, re teach these employees what genuine customer service and courtesy looks like. Wow. This store is huge and beautiful! Although I love pink, this Torrid is of the new remodel variety and has the classy logo, which looks WAY better and doesn't give the illusion of the old Torrid style [aka the online order Torrid that was Hot Topic's plus size line]. The interior has a layout that makes sense, doesn't feel cramped at all and has a TON of clothes. It feels like there's at least twice as much as the Northgate store. The other big improvement over the existing Torrid stores 'round here is the staff! Holy crap, they are beyond fantastic and over-the-top helpful. I'm not much of a clubbin' kind of girl, but I found out last minute I was expected to attend a bachelorette party... I stopped by Torrid thinking they may have a better option than what I was pulling from the back of my closet, and I was totally right. I walked in at 8:24 on a Saturday night not holding my breath... I asked what time they closed, got the response [8:30], said "aww, too bad! I'll be back another time..." and turned around to go out the door. All the staff members chimed up to say, "no, don't leave, we're gonna find you an awesome outfit!"... I ended up keeping them busy for another 25 minutes after they closed. I flatout admitted I'm hopeless at dressing myself and usually rely on my boyfriend a liiiittle too much when shopping. I held up a cute lacy shirt with leopard print, a pink-tinged purple and asked if this would look ridiculous with my hair... Betsy adeptly encouraged me to sidestep that shade with my hair color [without telling me I picked out something that would look bad on me... just redirecting it] and then proceeded to walk me through ALL of their stock -- finding me similar options in a color more compatible with my hair. She ended up sending me into the dressing room with like 8 shirts and then bringing me a couple extra. All when they were supposed to be closed! I ended up buying three shirts that I decided looked fantastic and are more of the direction I want to be going with my wardrobe, fashionwise. I could have easily taken home the whole pile, as Betsy found me a ton of cute outfits that I really liked a lot... but, I'm poor. As background, my general outfit is a Pokémon or other video game t-shirt and a pair of jeans... so when I go to Torrid, it's usually just to buy interview clothing, pants or dresses -- I don't often end up with a ton of shirts I like! Cashing out I ended up talking to another girl who was super friendly and talkative. I have written reviews about Torrid in the past but this one deserves a shout out! I have a wedding to go to on Saturday. I don't get paid until Friday (you know how it is!) so I saw a dress I loved online and called a store nearby my dogs veterinary clinic since he had an appointment that same day. The wonderfully helpful woman on the phone let me know they had the dress in the color and the two sizes I wasn't sure I was (again, you know how it is). I have a store closer to my place but this store had the two sizes and the color I needed. This was MONDAY mind you and I told her couldn't get up there until Friday. I told the girl on the phone I understood if she couldn't hold it that long and I would just hope they would be there Friday (I've worked in retail, they have no control over that! If it sells, it sells!). She let me know that was totally fine and that she would put my sizes and my color on hold for me for A WEEK!!! Talk about customer service!! No arguing, no debate, just straight up service. I was SO appreciative. Now I'm getting my schedule together and realizing I told the torrid girl I would be there Friday, when my dogs appointment and the wedding is on Saturday! So I called AFTER HOURS hoping to leave a voicemail to ask if they can hold it another day. Another SWEET woman answers the phone and lets me know she has them on hold, and of course she can hold another day. I even said "I understand if you can't, policy is policy! I've worked in retail I get it, if you can't hold it I'll find a way to make it in on Friday!" She assured me it was perfectly okay, and that Saturday was fine. This place is CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRAL!!!!!! I promise you, working with customers is the hardest job you'll ever do. And once you do, you have so much respect for those who do it right. Needed to find a dress for a upcoming wedding I was attending, and it was my first time shopping in this store (only briefly browsed online previously). Both Lucy and Cherry were very helpful as I looked throughout the store. This located had a ton of fun prints and some more basic items too...I found some black jeans that fit amazingly. They were a little on the high end compared to what I usually spend (I think the Bombshell Skinny were $75), but they fit so well that it's definitely worth it so I can have a good pair of everyday skinny style jeans (I'm 5'11" and the length was perfect). Ended up finding my outfit for the wedding in the clearance section, along with a black cardigan. All the dresses are cute, I just had to search around to figure out what size I was in a few of the different styles, but that was easy enough. One thing I really loved about this store is after I had a few items Cherry started a room for me, and as I got a more items I would try them on -and I could just leave the ones I liked in the room while I went to search other sections of the store to find stuff. At first I kind of felt bad I tried on a ton of stuff and they had to put it all back, which I know is part of the job, but the staff was so kind the whole time it make the experience great for me. I have never encountered any negative support staff at Torrid which I really appreciate. I was disappointed with the fact that since it's a "smaller store" it didn't get much, if any, of the fangirl clothing. For once I would really like to be able to actually try on some of the fangirl clothing before buying it. Torrid is one of those places that I go into whenever I am at a mall that has one, but very, very, very rarely ever find anything I like. I've probably bought like 2 things in the last 5 years. This store though, is fantastic! It's brand new, shiny, and huge compared to a lot of them. They have a ton of sales going on, and the one person who was working was so sweet and helpful. The store was super busy, and even with a wait for the dressing rooms and to check-out, she was totally on top of things and very friendly. I tried on a ton of stuff, and ended up with a skirt and a pair of tights. There were a few dresses I tried on and liked, but the one I really wanted wasn't in my size. I come in this store all the time and the employees are always so nice! They're super helpful and definitely go out of their way with customer service. The store has a entrance in the Factoria Mall near Bath And Body Works and has a entrance outside near Ulta. About 1/3rd of the store is for clearance and there is usually always good finds and deals. There's about 6 changing rooms available but are locked so you will have to ask to try things on. Although, they usually approach me and ask if I want a room started before I can even get to them or if my hands look a little full. Honestly such great customer service! There's a section for bras and underwear that's really fantastic as well. Although it can get pricey, Torrid is such a great company and promotes such positivity. First of all, I'm obsessed with Torrid. Their clothes are fantastic and reasonably priced - especially when you have haute cash to spend! But what makes this location so great is the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful. I had a weird situation where I bought clearance boots in store (not returnable) and then later that day saw them online for about $40 cheaper. I called them to see if they would honor the lower price, and even though it wasn't their normal protocol, the manager worked with me and was able to give me the difference in price on a gift card. (Which I happily spent!) I've never had a bad experience there. They really know how to make plus size girls feel amazing about themselves! read more

My review here is based on the very first, and only time I've ever been to a Torrid store. First, I have to say, I've never been treated so well in a store of any kind, before. The ladies working at this Factoria location on Sunday afternoon were awesome. I had gastric bypass in March of this year and I was at Torrid to try and find a pair of jeans that actually fit me after losing 110 pounds. I was discouraged at first, not seeing anything in my size. But my husband, being super determined, found two pairs of jeans and asked one of the ladies for help, and she was so sweet and looked in the back and found a pair. I tried them all on, and all three fit me! I actually cried in the dressing room. I was so happy because this was the first time in YEARS (10, I think) that I actually got to go into a store and try something on that FIT, instead of having to order online. Not only that, but the two pairs of jeans that I ended up buying were on clearance, buy one, get the second one free! Score! When I went up to pay, the young lady that helped me (I didn't get her name and I wish I had, I'm so sorry! She had a side shave with curly hair) was so sweet and made me feel comfortable. Of course I signed up for the Torrid Insider club (is that what you call it?). Got even more of a discount for that, too! Anyway, it was a great experience and I absolutely WILL be returning.
