I was impressed by my customer service experience today. I was greeted as soon as I came in the door and told about the sales. I was asked about what I was looking for. Jasmine checked on me multiple times to see if I needed anything and got a fitting room set up for me. There were a few items that weren't in my size, but ordering them was offered. When I checked out the service was fast and friendly. The items I purchased were on sale. I probably wouldn't have paid full price for them. I haven't been in a store in a long time that had an employee as attentive as Jasmine. Thanks for such a good experience. read more

I told her the top I saw online that I wanted and she pointed it out exactly and was happy to help me get the right size! The store is clean and safe! Great music playing! Went today and was looking to buy some items. My 7 year old was looking at the necklaces at no time was she messing them up and was told don't touch you will tangle them. Really! If you don't like your items being touched then lock them up or have a sign no kids allowed. Not coming back. read more

I had an incredibly disappointing experience in this store today. There were 5 employees working and about 4 people shopping. Not one person greeted or interacted with me during the 10 minutes I was in the store. 3 people were standing behind the cash register the entire time, while another 1 stood about a foot away processing clothes on a rack. There was zero social distancing happening. I didn't know if they had fitting rooms open so I went up to the register to ask and one girl said "Yes do you want to try something on?" I said yes and went back to find the dress I liked but she sped behind me and I felt like I was imposing on her. I would not have even bothered to write this review, but the fact that the fitting room was SO DIRTY is what pushed me over the edge. It was seriously so gross, there was hair and dirt and dust bunnies in all the corners. Needless to say I left without the $70 dress. And as I walked by the register on my way out, not one of the girls said anything to me at all. read more

I shop here fairly often, both in this store and online. Online purchases can be returned here very quickly and easily. The store doesn't always have what I'm looking for, and the employees don't always know what's out. There have been a few times where I go in and ask if they have something, they say no, and I end up finding it. So that's kinda annoying. It can also be trying to get someones attention for a dressing room. That being said, the dressing rooms are nice and they all have fans, which you can control, so a bunch of thick ladies trying on clothes aren't sweating all over the place. haha The quality of their clothing is mostly great, but a few things shrink weird. I bought a pair of "all nighter" pants (basically you can go from work to an evening out and they're good for both) and they shrank the first time I put them in the wash. Shrank both length and width wise, it was crazy annoying because not only were they too short and too tight, but I washed it so I couldn't return it. But, if you're a bigger gal and want some style, this is certainly the place to go. No shapeless sacks here! read more

Ordered some earrings online. Unfortunately I wasn't able to pick them up at the store. I was expecting a refund as stated in their policy. Well, all I got was a runaround from them telling me to check with my bank and that my credit card wasn't charged. What do you call all the email updates and the charge on my statement? I tried to get this resolved to the point where I told them I surrender because my frustration had reached its highest. So it's a lesson learned and Torrid has lost a customer. I will never shop online or in the store. Received very poor customer service and dealt with people who do not know how to think. They must be needed the money worst than me or an employee dud something with the records and my money. read more

This was such a different experience at this Torrid at the mall in Fresno vs the Torrid in Salinas, CA. The staff here were friendly, helpful, and nice. They didn't have bad attitudes or make you feel bad for asking for help, like at the store in Salinas. I just wish the prices were better. But that's corporate, not the employees. Also, the stores layout and design is poorly done. It's very small and cramped especially by the registers. Overall, I got a cute outfit and was happy with the experience :) read more

So, just left the store w/o purchasing anything. I refused to spend $ in a place that has such poor customer service. I have been shopping w/ Torrid for over 10 years. Never, have i ever felt the way i felt today. It was obvious i was the only African American in the store shopping. I was in there for at least 45 mins looking around and getting items to purchase. I wanted to use my $75 worth of haute cash. Well, no1 ever acknowledge i was in the store. No big deal right? Wrong! It was a big deal b/c people who walked in after me were greeted, assisted on the floor and provided respect at the cash register when checking out. I observed all of this, and i actually began to feel uncomfortable. I gathered my things and made my way to the cash register. The so-called store manager "Jessica" began to ring up my stutt. She was very rude, short, no eye contact and treated me as if i was a bother to her. I ended up changing my mind about spending my $ here and asked for the manager. She said she was. Clearly, her and her ahift staff need to have a refresher course in customer service. Torrid lost my business today, and i don't think I'll be back to this location ever again until the hire more capable staff. Additionally, this store space is very cramped. It's hard to shop, especially when there's so many other shoppers in the small space. It's difficult to find sizes, and it would be nice if the hangers had the sizes on them and the clothes weren't so high up the wall. read more

Went in on Saturday to do some damage.....came out with only 1 pair of pants and a couple of cami tanks....would like to have spent more but was really let down by this stores new location. It's so small, only 2 employees working who were trying to help everyone so the wait was long and the music was so flippin loud it became annoying! I couldn't get outta there fast enough. I would have loved to try on all the items I grabbed but I couldn't even hear myself think! Super cute clothes though....will stick to online ordering. read more

This store is amazing!!! Got a lot of great, super cute items that fit fabulously at a great price.... Clearance items and sale items make shopping here affordable. :). Otherwise, it can be a bit pricey. But in reality it is worth it if you have a hard time of finding professional looking, high quality, plus size wear. The selections also don't look plus size. You know where the clothes just hang on you, often times making you look fluffier than you are.... Not here. Clothes are cut to fit plus size people in a flattering way. I can feel confident, cute and sexy wearing clothes from torrid. Big shout out to Shawn who works there. He was super helpful and made the shopping experience positive. read more

Torrid is my favorite clothing store and the best one I have visited is in Fresno, Ca. They are a plus-size clothing store that actually has a big selection from really girly to a little goth. The staff in the Fresno store is extremely kind and helpful. I have spent hours in this store buying clothes for school and they help me every time. They will hold your bags behind their desk for you, keep a fitting room open just for you, give tips on how to care for the garments and grab whatever you need while trying on clothes. The clothes are a little expensive but are also really good quality. I would recommend the Fresno location over the Visalia one because the staff in Fresno is a lot nicer. read more

Really poorly made clothing. Ridiculously expensive. Plus size women are pigeonholed into spending huge amounts of money on ill fitting badly made clothing. The employees are nice but I can't justify spending upwards of 40 or 50 bucks for a see through shirt with a picture of a skull on it that will fall apart after three washes. read more

I love this place! The girls are always ready to help and have such a welcoming attitude. Yes the prices are on the higher end, but the cute clothes you find and the customer service you receive makes up for it. Also technically every purchase that I do I receive coupons which gives a huge discount on your next purchase. I love the fact that they very often give coupons. I read a comment on here in regards to poor quality of the clothes. I strongly disagree. I have beautiful blouses that I have had for years and wear very often that I purchased here and they are still perfectly intact and appear as if they were just purchased recently. This store is definitely one of the go tos if you're on the plus side and want a super cute outfit to rock and no limits that stop you from doing so. read more

My wife and I love this store! They have a huge selection of clothing all decently priced. I like picking clothes out that I know will look good on my wife. I get to dress her up how I like and it's a great time to bond together while helping build her confidence with clothes that will help her feel good about herself. They have everything from casual to professional dress. The customer service people are extremely friendly. Especially Shawn. He's one cool dude! Very helpful and always friendly and respectful. I walked in and wasn't greeted. Immediately that set the tone because I knew she saw me. As i was shopping one employee was hanging clothes and tried to squeeze by me without saying a word until she realized I wasn't going to move without an "excuse me". Clearance was buy 1 get one free. That would have been PERFECT had I been able to reach the damn rack. I'm under 5', I get it, I'm short but I couldn't even reach the HANGERS bc they were so HIGH! When I would ask for help reaching something or even trying to find what was on the mannequins (because the store was such a mess), she made me feel like I was annoying her. I've been to Torrid's ALL over the bay area and have NEVER felt like I wasn't welcomed. When she was ringing up my clothes she was throwing them in the bag. Not neatly folding them but shoving them inside the bag. She did the same thing to the receipt. If I wasn't desperate to find something to wear, I would have walked out of the store and kept my $200. I spend a lot of money at Torrid, I shouldn't have been treated like that. This was definitely the worst shopping experience I've ever had. read more
